I don't know which story you are reading, only 2 dragons have been defeated. There are 3 dragon gods left to defeat (No one trusts Selene, do they?), not to mention that we will surely see the white witch. (and in the last chapter they subtly added a new continent, a new guild and a new mechanic in the series [alchemy]). There is enough material for Ueda to tell a great story.

Don't worry I read the same story as you, and yes I count Sélène as dragon defetead because I think nobody want to see her in a third arc being the big bad guy when in the two she already has she did nothing interesting or impressive, oh wait actually the only impressive thing she did is lose the two only fight she has and her opponent use her as a mop to clean the floor nothing else. The authors tries to make her an anti hero but they failed very badly, Shadow the Hedgehog is a better one than her hell even Alvin from Tales of Xillia is better and he is a very bad anti hero himself. This character is only here because she finished third at a popularity poll that's all, remember her first quotes, "I will conquer the world" to "I'm not interested to conquer the world" and finally her objective is just "I want to live peacefully and drink sake under the moonlight" I was like "bitch please you can open portals and cross world and dimensions there is a high possibility you can find a world to fulfill your wish but nope" (not suprised after all she's blonde) one of the worst character Mashima write for sure.

The white witch you mean all the build up around Faris but at the end nope, seriously someone still expects something from these character, it's like Ivan and Raven Tail never see or mentionned again.

You try to make me believe somebody is hype for this guys, the same hype like Diabolos and the elit… sorry the clowns ones, people only remember:

Haku because "If I win, Wendy, you become my girlfriend"

Kirin because he is a dumbass who gives a power up to his oppenent

Misaki because she is forgettable and nothing special except she is Kyria 2.0 and Kyouka 3.0 because she likes torture people

Madmole and Skullion nothing interesting and Kyria because she likes Laxus and want to eat him

The only good one is Suzaku the rest including George is trash and the Alchemist guild will get the same traitement, cool chara design , hype as fuck and in the end getting trashed by bullshit explanations , power up pull out the ass from the protagonistes or the antagonistes are dumb themselves like the guy fighting Grey, he literally trapped himself he can't touch Grey, alchemist are supposed to be smart if they are the same intelligence as him then they are already finished.

In conclusion you're naïve to believe Ueda will give us a better story because until now nothing is good nothing will be capable to bring back the OG FT, there are way too many issues with, like for exemple:

How are you gonna make believe Natsu can beat Ignia at 100% of his power when among the three dragons he fought each one of them is nerf and with the thrid one he struggle with the most weak one and for Natsu to have a chance against him they have to weak him even more, it will stay one dragon call Viernes and is he gonna be 100% or nerf ? (he second option is the most obvious one) then versus Ignia what gonna happen ? He is gonna be nerf or 100% but also how is he gonna be beaten by power of frienship, power of love, power of feeling or some bullshit like versus Zeref or Acnologia ? (getting beat by your own flames my god it's gonna be the worst)

FT is only now for FS and ships moments , no wait even for ships moment it failed miserably:

Nalu: Nothing evolve between them in 600 chapters and more like Natsu shows no interest in love and he is even more dumb in the spin off and he still believe that children are born from eggs, who's gonna take seriously when Natsu will said something like "Lucy you're important for me" or "Lucy I love you" or vice versa with Lucy ? Nobody because nothing was bulit between them, we're gonna only see them at the end of the spin off after the quest married without knowing how they ended together, just because the fans wanted.

Gruvia: Same thing, during the manga Grey thought Jubia like a creep but at Alvarez "Oh yeah I like this girl" also switch the role between Grey and Jubia and I can assure you this ship will be not popular as it is now.

Jerza: From tragic love story to drama to comedy but apparently it's the best ship yeah sure.

Apart from people like you and maybe blind hardcore fans nobody trust FT will be good now because Ueda will take care of everything, I mean if you want to believe it you're free to do so but don't get you're hopes too high or the fall may hurt.

That's the point, we still don't know what Selene's goal is. Until she isn't defeated/sealed by FT, she cannot be considered defeated. (The goal of the 100 year quest is to seal/defeat the 5 dragon gods)

If that is the case, the white witch theme could have been left there when they beat Faris. But instead they left the possibility for one day to make a presence. This already depends on if Ueda wants to use it or not

Why do you mention Diabolos? That is Mashima's execution on them. what could you expect from someone who has mentioned that he did not want to continue working with FT. he practically confessed that he was forced/pressured to work on this sequel.
The point of my comment is that Ueda has the material to do something different and not continue with the same crap of Mashima's writing.

There's the difference, Ueda can do something different, after all this would be his first series (he can take risks, he can have many ideas, etc), while Mashima already made it clear that he doesn't give a shit about this sequel. No one here is expecting Ueda to do an arc like Tartaros, Ants Arc(HxH), Pain Assault(Naruto), Promise Day(FMA), etc. I just hope that Ueda has more coherence and uses all the available material to have a half decent Series and not the crap we currently read.

2) END, it's funny how they left the possibility open for END to return. A dragon with a superiority complex would not be a challenge for the demon destined to destroy everything
3) Group fight(?) All the dragon slayers vs the last dragon god, it sounds great, although this time without doing that stupid thing they did against acnologia (giving all the power to natsu) it's time for a real group victory
4) The intervention of a stronger character (Ahskeram)?
5) And the option that I would most like: to revive Acnologia and to do its job well

END is dead seriously stop trust he will be back, people wanted to see him against Zeref and Acnologia but nope, if he come back it will be just a big middle finger like "you thought I was dead but I was always here la-li-lu-le-LOL".

Same for Anksheram Mashima clearly said he will not use him except to explain Zeref curse.

Same for Acnologia who want to see this trash character with no backstory (the one in the anime is not canon because we learn nothing new) no real name and even not capable to catch and destroy a ship, let him be dead there is no reason to him to come back.

Why a fight group when it said it suppose to be a 1vs1 one.

And for Nalu it doesn't change the fact no one explain to him how to make babies.

He will get defeated by Lucy and Natsu

Lucy with Aqua´s Water powers
and Natsu
And Since Ueda and Mashima favor Lucy and they very much confirmed Lucy is the MC in the Space Twitter
That wouldn´t leave out the possibity of Ignia´s defeat will be done by Lucy and Natsu..

I will read some chapters to see how Dogramag fight will go then drop it

idk but personally i like it biweekly. or maybe mashima&ueda can try 10 days (e.g every 5th, 15th, 25th). weekly kinda feels fast and it's a bit too much work for a moderator (talking about the past haha).

I like it weekly as a reader and random commentor in this site.lol. But I understand and agree with the 3 times a week schedule. Bi-weekly seems to long and weekly might seem too fast for the author to make a solid storyboard consistently.

Based on the comments, it seems like it's someone on instagram who used masta_manga's translations as a source, and from the looks of it, paraphrased and modified it to make it seem like Lucy is the main character when in actuality it's Natsu (as confirmed by a tweet that masta_manga reposted).

The pacing for a biweekly Manga is slow as hell.We basicly wasted now 1 full month just for Gruvia fanservice(i dont need the newest spoilers to now that the next chapter today will full focus again on that)
