I still hope for some power up for Erza and Wendy at least, It feels so wrong for her to leave series just by saving Selene. or Beta heaven moment with Erza (What Natsu had with Zeref and Mavis).
Also my theory on Athena, that she was rebuild using Eileen's body, She looks like Space Mangas Acnoella who was Elcys (Space Erzas) mom, who used to look like Eileen in past before changing into robot. I wouldn't use it as solid proof, but We all know Hiro likes to reuse plots and character traits from his other Mangas,
Example: Eileen and Acnoella both were Mother of Dragons. Rebeca and ELLI both Use "guns" and have secret important power some villains wanted to steal.

Why's tartaros arc considered the best arc in the fandom? Anybody who doesn't like tartaros arc and watched fT, there's definitely something wrong. It's like saying labyrinth arc is good.

Erza fight, Miras fight with book throwing, Last minute Deus Ex Machina, Consequences were downplayed (Dragons being already dead, Nobody important in guild died), it's pacing and structure is not that great ether and some plot holes (Grandeen could comunicated to Porliusca, but not Wendy, Mard Geer lies about END, Mest). It saving Grace is couple of real good moments: Grey, Juvia and Silver; Lucy and Aquarious; Mard Geer Fight. but that is not enough for some people to call it the best, such as me.
Tower of Heavin and Tenrou may not have as many big individual moments like tartaros, but they were structured better.

Okay I see your pov, but tartaros arc is a very well received arc among the fans and most fT fans liked it. The only thing that made me mad in that arc was Erza vs kyoka. As usual Erza's fight tend to traumatize me and some readers

Erza the girl who tends to mess up OP magics and characters. The author wants to favor his queen Nakama so much that he wastes the other characters like Irene the END Acnologia plot even the Spriggan 12 in general. The Alvarez arc could have been better than Tartaros if the author got everyone involved instead of following his asspulls for Erza since GMG. The ultime Mary Sue of FT.

The comparison of Tartaros and the Labyrinth is absurd, they are not remotely similar. For me, Eclipse is better but fans quite like Tartaros because it has some cool stuff:

1) The last guild of the Balam Alliance comes on stage
2) Tartaros begins his arc by attacking and killing the wizarding council and ancient wizard saints
2) We saw more about Zeref and Acnologia and they introduced a new enemy that a priori was believed to be at the Acnologia level (END)
3) We saw a wide variety of enemies (designs) and powers which were great
4) Lucy takes a great role and stops being the weak girl, which is great because Lucy is the protagonist of the story and until then Wendy and Erza looked better
5) The spiritual king comes into action
6) We had quite a few emotional moments, like Lucy destroying the aquarius key, Elfman betraying the guild to save his sisters, Laxus has a great vindication moment or Natsu reuniting with Igneel
7) the last plot twist where Natsu was the same END was also great
8) Natsu abandoned his friends and the guild dissolved

The problem with this arc is that over time Mashima ruined it in other arcs or they just didn't lead to anything, for example Elfman didn't get retaliation for what he did, I expected him to be kicked out of the guild or when the guild regrouped, they won't let elfman join or something else. Lucy has a chance to find the new key and reunite with Aquarius, there was no problem with the magic council dying, they were quickly replaced, END was wasted, we never saw him enter the scene, we saw a half transformation that was minimized by Gray and Erza(something absurd when he came from easily defeating someone who controls time), practically the entire arc of alvarez destroys the arc of Tartaros

Say what you want about Lucy but she remains well-written despite her weaknesses and abusive fanservice. Even if her fans overestimate her, they are right to complain about her lack of development in certain arcs like GMG Alvarez or Phantom Lord. His magic is the most interesting and his fight against Mimi is in my opinion the best of this sequel. (I also like her fight against Kyria but I find it bad that the author has to shield Laxus to protect her even though she showed her Stardress Mix well)

It is not necessary for Lucy to fight those guys, in fact apart from Natsu, there is no one (not even Erza) who can beat Acnologia, Dogra, Ignia, Zeref, etc. They are very OP characters.

I prefer to continue seeing the current Lucy that grows little by little and becomes stronger every time, than to see how Lucy becomes an Erza 2.0 (Mary Sue), I see Lucy's growth more natural and logical up to now than that of the most FT's wizards.

If you compare Rebbeca, Ellie, and Lucy, without a doubt the one who has the best development is Lucy, perhaps Rebbeca and Ellie are more relevant in the story, since their respective abilities place them at the center of the plot, but they are characters very flat, and very similar (not to say that Rebbeca is a copy of Ellie) doing this with Lucy will be boring, let's be honest the best fight of the previous arc was Kyria vs Lucy, no Natsu/Suzaku vs Dogra

Lucy is great just the way she is, she doesn't need final boss fights to be amazing

Yep. All for the sake of the nonsensical "redemption" of Selene, Mashima has had characters flip flop on their principles. I liked Selene's character and was wishing for some way for her to stick around longer, but the way Mashima went about it wasn't good imo. I physically cringed when Elefseria apologized to her.

And he sacrificed another character for it who could had an even better redemption story.

- Has unique and rare magic
- Too beautiful and too perfect
- Intimidates everyone
- The author invents a dragon mother for her when there was no foreshadowing
- Has a tragic past
- She beats everyone she meets
- No character development
- Bland personality
- also Did I mention men stare at her everywhere she goes?

Yeah why did elfseria even apologize. He should be apologizing to the non DS mages he sent to off the five DGs. I don't really understand why we should feel sympathetic towards selene. Yeah ignia or vierness actually need to give natsu a reality check. Aldoron already pointed out his stupid ideologies. Ignia already said POF was stupid. Selene's retcon really affected other people's character. Natsu decided that wood dragon god needs to be offed cuz he enjoys eating humans, selene killed more people than ignia and Aldo. She off screen many other worlds
