Acnologia was after Wendy when he felt her as a Dragon Slayer. Acnologia walk through August as he wasn't present when he killed God Serena.

I meant the art style really peaks in style in the final couple of arcs (Tartaros-Alvarez). It was evolving right through the series and already looked a lot better as early as the Oracion Seis arc, but the style he was drawing in and the level of detail he was putting in really peaked at that time IMO. I’d say he was even better then than he is now with Edens Zero! Of course all this is subjective, but I preferred the anime art style to the earliest FT manga chapters. They did make a few bad decisions (making a way bigger fuss over Lisanna in the run up to the Edolas arc than was the case in the manga which fuelled that massive annoying ship war for one ) but the other little details also really made it more special to me - the transitions, the narration, the magic circles, the OG soundtrack/ sound effects. It was a unique feel that I do miss a little in the sequel series. Yes a lot of that went away in the manga too, but it added to the anime in a greater way than it did the manga. It would be nice if the 100YQ anime could re-use the character models from the final OG series.

When 100YQ finishes (I’m guessing not for quite a while yet) I’d definitely like to see something like a “Fairy Tail: S Class” follow on, slightly aged up characters focusing on harder S class missions, maybe open with a new S class exam arc that sees Natsu and/or Gray finally make the grade. Just please not a next generations series, I think that would wreck this franchise

Imo Avatar and most of Alvarez seemed more like transition periods in his art while Tenrou to Tartaros seemed like the beginning of his peak. The last part of Alvarez his art stabilized again while EZ is top tier until now.

That reminds me that the og adaptation biggest sin by far was changing Gildarts hair color from brown to red and spawning the dumb Shanks comparisons, and the altered art-style also makes them more similar. If we take the hair color (the canon one is light brown), of the equation their common points are shallow as ****, and one of them is both having lost one arm and having a cloak when Mashima's favourite manga is berserk... (not that the comparison in itself is that impressive in the first place). Seriously, that Gildarts=Shanks claim annoys me so much.

Actually FT with Mashima writing it is one of the few fighting shonen I think could pull off the "Next Generations" shtick without ruining the series. Not saying that I'm going to beg for it though.

Well, If we assume it's a trustworthy source, it seems its a different studio from before. from how excited he/she Sounds.
Also on reddit where i found these, people were hoping it would not be JC stuff, saying it ruined Space Manga.

Wow ho, lets come Down to earth.
mappa thing is because they have some announcements planed these month and Hiro announcing info about Anime soon feels like an odd coincidence, so people amused it.
I'm not saying it can't be. not gonna jump to conclusions yet though. still hoping for KyoAni.

I really hope it's false. I was saying that the studio doesn't carve in stone the quality of the adaptation but A-1 gives me PTSD....
