Freed noticed Laxus' sign and Ever attacks mirror with Fairy Bomb: Gremlin saying to her friends, to not miss the timing. The moment mirror is attacked, Jutsu Shiki appears and Bickslow and Freed aim for it with Baryon Formation and Dark Ecriture: Destruction. When the mirror is destroyed, villagers celebrates and Laxus smiles saying, that their quest is over. Weise also looks excited. Finally the god of twillight appears. Ever is suprised, that the god is a stone statue and looks so sinister. The villagers start to scream in pain one after another. Raijinshuu are shocked, Laxus also notices, something strange happens with the village. Naser explains, that it's because the evil god of twilight has awaken. He's pissed, because the evil god is awaken and mirror can't be repaired anymore - the failed to acomplish the mission his ancestors left him. Everything went acording to the plan of Weise, who now smiles evilly and thanks mages for their hard work.

It would be cool, if one of the God Slayers appears now - I know it would be out of nowhere, but Orga for example may have some connection with Laxus, so I won't be suprised, if he will appear. I wouldn't be suprised, if Laxus defeat the god himself either, ofc

a God eh??? I hope Laxus solos him. I wouldn't like if that God is just a statue. that would be underwhelming. I hope there is some sort of transformation.

Thanks for posting these guys, I thought they would not be any this week, I am a huge laxus fan boy, but laxus honestly never disappoints, even time he is in a chapter or in the anime something epic happens immediately. I am enjoying this more then the main story right now, laxus is like the punch man, but with lightning, I loved todays chapter

While I really want Laxus to do something epic like Fairy Law, I think he'll do something like Ichiya did by resolving a conflict with no violence (we know from chapter 6/7 that Laxus idolizes Ichiya

). But he just powered up so Idk, looks like he'll brawl.

well, I don't think he would hurt his best friends (Thunder Tribe), let alone go all out. he will probably kill that God or use some new spell. we will have to wait for @Linali. she translates this Spin Off.

Uh, sorry, I'm busy lately

It seems, that first page is missing, but anyway... Naser asks Laxus, if the influence of god of twilight already affected him, but Laxus denies and says, that what happened is not Naser's fault. Anyway he's not going to sit and wait and will just destroy the god. Naser is shocked; he explains, that god of twilight is the encroachment magic itself and even come closer to him is dangerous. This problem can't be resolved just with brute force, but Laxus doesn't listen pointing out, that if they won't do anything, Naser's village will be destroyed. Naser is shocked hearing it from Laxus, but Dreyar replies, that simple apologize is not enough - that's why he want to protect the village. He understands, that Naser really loves his birthplace, because he didn't want to use his true power in the village to not harm anyone. Naser reproaches Laxus his young age, because when it comes to birthplace or guild Laxus automatically forgets about the surroundings. But in fact he founds Laxus very honest person and agrees with him, then asks him to lend him the power to protect the village. Laxus answers, that it was his job from the very beginning and adds, that's it's time to end the festival.

Laxus finds Freed, Bickslow and Ever; he's worried about them. Naser realizes, that magic attacks people with low amount of magic power. Laxus wants to destroy the statue as quick as possible, but Freed interupts and then Bickslow attacks Laxus. Dreyar can't believe it, but Naser says, that they were too late - Raijinshuu are already under god's control. Laxus objects saying, that they're not so weak, but that only prooves the power of this magic. Naser explains, that's the reason, why his ancestors sealed this power. It encroach mercilessly into people's hearts and can't be restrainted. Statue says, that Naser and his ancestors were fools, because with this power they could easily control even mages. Naser recognizes this voice - it's Weyse. He realizes, it was her real goal.

In the same time Laxus tries to wake Raijinshuu up, but Weyse says it's pointless, because they all are under her control now. Retrospection: Bickslow realizes, that priest fooled them all. He and Ever and angry at themselves, but Freed calms them down. He's sure Laxus already noticed, that something's not right and is on his way to the village. Until he come, they will fight. Weyse says (using telepathy), that they're helpless - they call themselves "bodyguars", but in the end it's Laxus who is the most wounded. Freed explains, that they believe in each other and when Laxus fights in the first line, they can just support him. But Weyse says, that Laxus fights, because they're too weak. She asks, what if one day their beloved Laxus won't be able to recover from his wounds? Raijinshuu angrily attacks her saying, that they won't let her even touch him, because their job is to protect him. Hearing it Laxus seems moved. Weyse asks him, if he is able to fight with his friends and much to her suprise, he is...
Laxus: "Heh, it brings back memories... We haven't fighted since that time, have we, Raijinshuu? I'll remind you, who is standing in front of you."
"Next time the past of Laxus and Raijinshuu revealed?!"

I just had to translate Laxus' last line, it's SO cool! And I'm SO excited, it's more interesting than curent manga chapters! :onoz

about time we get their past story. we never even had any pasts story between Laxus and his Thunder Tribe. it seems he mopped the floor with them in the past.

Thank you for always translating the laxus spin offs I am new to the forum, as a user but I have read the laxus spin offs here from the beginning and you are the one who always translates them, Honestly I am enjoying this more then the main manga right now and without your translations it would not be possible to follow the spin off, So thanks again, I really appreciate your work on the laxus spin off.

I agree I have only been on manga helper as a user for a week but I have been reading the spin off from this forum since it started, and if it wasn't for her translations, there is no way we could enjoy this awesome spin off.

So here's the first part of the chapter:

The evil

An evil god of twilight comes back. Everyone's shocked; villagers ask, what about the story of protective god of the Hanamas village and saving the village by destroying the mirror, but it all were lies. Weyse explains, that even she, who's not a magician, can feel that power. It was a waste to let it sleep for so long. Moreover, when she use it to kill a lot of people, Zeref will come to her for sure. She will start with the village.

Naser explains to Laxus, that the god's power is magic, that shows people their suspicions, fears and traumas in the form of illusion. The real intention of the festival is to keep the seal save. Laxus asks, why Naser didn't say it earlier, and Naser answers, that his clan was hiding, to not be used or killed; they decided to live in the distant from village. But as the time passed, the truth was forgotten and for villagers Naser was like a stranger; even if he told them, no one would believe. But even so, this village is his birthplace, the only place on earth he belongs to. He blames himself for what happened, but he decided to stop it. He asks Laxus to leave, before he will be influenced too, but Laxus just punch himself. And you know the rest

The retrospection begins with Laxus who defeated the whole group of thiefs all alone. Freed, who came to that place is impressed, but he says, that it's all "as expected of master's grandson" and as we all know, at that time, nothing could piss Laxus off more. Laxus asks, who are they and after Raijinshuu introduced themselves they're suprised, that Laxus doesn't know the names of his guildmates. It turns out, that defeating this thief group was Raijinshuu's job. They accuse Laxus for destroying their reputation in the guild and say, that "guild master's grandson is quite outrageous person". Grandpa this, guild that... It's too much for Laxus - he will make them regret they dared to stand in front of him.

Back to the present - Raijinshuu attack Laxus (Bickslow - Line Formation, Ever - Fairy Machine Gun: Leprechaun). Laxus notices, that their cooperation is fast, probably because they're manipulated. Naser is worried about him, but Dreyar tells him to focus on the protecting the village. Naser adds the divine protection to Laxus' magic, so he will be protected from the god of twillight magic. Laxus is thankful and continues his fight. Ever calls him the god of twillight and says, they won't let him put a finger on Laxus. Dreyar guesses, that they see him as this evil god. Freed says, that because they're too weak, Laxus always has to fight in the first line. Bickslow adds "even if we call ourselves his bodyguards". Ever says, that the way they are now, they're nothing but a encumbrance for him; Laxus is speechless. Weyse says, that their bonds and trust to one another are beautiful - but that's why they were triped up. She draws the magic circle saying, that thanks to the collected power of their negative emotions, she will be able to destroy their bodies and souls. She attacks with Erode Nega (by kanji- negative invasion). Naser is shocked, that Weyse was able to create new negative magic.

After reading this, I think I understood, why Freed didn't want Laxus to come to the Kardia Cathedral during fight with Wahl so desperately

First of all, thanks a lot to @Linali for always taking the time to give us the summary of the chapters! Especially now that I heard that the one who translated the spin off won't be doing it anymore, so it's stuck at chap 7 for now unfortunately. Really thank you for this!

And damn, I'm actually excited over this. The spin off gives my faves attention and even a glimpse of when they were a lil younger ??? Wow I hadn't expected that but it makes me happy! I just hope that it continues to be this great and not get bad all of a sudden.

So looks like not only Laxus but the Raijins to have the 'I'm not strong enough to protect the ones I love' worries. That doesn't surprise me, as much as they care about one another. But finally they can fight at least a little again. Last week I was worried that they wouldn't do the Raijinshuu justice but this is great so far! I know none of them will go all out, Freed hasn't used any of his gravest spells for ages, but the basic scenario at least hints that they are still the powerful mages they've been said to be and were shown as at their very introdution in the series (still hoping they'll get to fight in the main manga tho bc ugghhh) but a chap of these four each week makes up at least a little for their long disappearance. Also really love the panel of Freed blocking and holding against one of Laxus' direct lightning punches! Shows he's quick and strong enough to do so and just YES GOOD.

I'm sorry for rambling, I just have to, but they just get neglected so bad in the manga that even one single panels, expressions or whatever make me happy haha. At the beginning my main fear was that the writer wouldn't do their characterization justice but honestly, it's so so good!
