natsu's melted though zeref's magic, if natsu can melt though zeref's magic he surly should be able to melt though jacob's magic, He also melted ajeel's sand which is basically his magic aswell. but i mean he literally got 1 shot the second natsu wasn't limited anymore. so tl;dr natsu stomped jacob hard. also this isn't a natsu threat it's a gildarts thread

so non fdkm natsu was able to melt though a spirrgan's magic

a fdkm can melt though zeref's magic i don't see why a fdkm natsu can't melt though jacobs magic

Natsu can't solo Jacob since he'd die within the first view seconds thanks to Transport. It doesn't matter if the fight was in the Guild Hall, because he still needed Lucy's and Happy's help.

Natsu can burn through physical magic, Zeref's darkness, but i dont think it would work with Jacobs magic as there is nothing physical about it. But showing that Natsu can one shot him, dont you think natsu could have attacked him before he activated transport? Its very possible. Its one of those, whoever attacks first type of fights.

Natsu has shown to make quick work of him the moment he left the guild. Maybe you should start seeing it as grey instead of black and white. Because thinking Natsu isnt spriggan level at this point in the game is false

Hope Gildarts shows up and faces August in the east. That will buy FT some time. I still think that Gildarts is a lot stronger than we know. But that discussion is useless since it is up to Hiro how strong Gildarts will be. Imo the bluenote fight is no indicator of his true power

I think the Bluenote fight is an indication of how strong pre-skip Gildarts was, but won't be an indication of how strong he is now. It will be determined by who he fights. If he comes to fight August, he'll be roughly August level. If he comes in to fight one of the other Spriggans (not Irene), I'd put him at God Serena level. It'd just be a complete waste if Gildarts comes back to only meet the same fate as someone like Hyberion (he's probably better than pre-skip Gildarts on portrayal).

If i remember Happy said he never saw Gildarts so much angry before in his fight against Bluenote.So we assume that he was also serious.

What counter does Jellal has against transport then? By your logic Jellal also will lose against Neinhart without Kagura's help when he blasted him to the ocean and against historia also because he cannot attack Simon. Once they had the chance both Natsu and Jellal one shotted (if you like ) their opponents.

If you give Natsu a Neinhart without historia he will definitely one shot him too just as if you give a Jacob without transport to Jellal.
That doesn't say who is stronger though so I'm not claiming that Natsu is stronger than Jellal but I feel he is at his level.

About Gildarts, I'm pretty sure that he will fight August. I always thought that Blue Note is a character created only to make Gildarts have a fight. Now that Blue Note is fodder, August will be a suitable opponent for Gildarts. Yeah I believe Gildarts at the level as we last saw him is not that strong now. But that doesn't matter, Mashima will just say he got stronger like the others (even if he is an old man already).

Do you actually think Gildarts surpassed himself? It's not like you get stronger the older you get. Laxus and Jellal haven't reach their prime yet. Don't tell me you think FDKM Natsu = Laxus/Jellal. Both Laxus and Jellal will oneshot him the same way they defeated their Spriggan.

Don't start about END now, we didn't saw anything from it yet. But yeah, I could believe that END = Zeref.

No I don't assume Gildart > top tier Spriggan or Gildarts = Irene. But Natsu's fight against Jacob was hardly a fight. There were interruptions. Jacob held hostages, plus Lucy had to show off and when Natsu finished Jacob, when Jacob was under the effect of Gemini's magic, the magic Gemini copied from Marin.

Natsu cannot fight August as a dragon slayer, but as END hype he surely would be able to. August is also a hype build. So is END.

Gildarts is easily one of the top ten characters (as far as I know) in power, and surviving against Acnologia proves that. As far as I know, best case scenario only two characters can beat Gildarts - Acnologia and Zeref. At worst, no more than a handful.

Because, right now, he's been pretty useless for the story, and it's getting close to the end, I think, so...

i remember the insane hype before gildarts first appeared
and then in the very first chapter he was in we found out he had been pwned by some black dragon not mentioned before
considering how this black dragon is now the final antagonist and considering gildartz lived to tell the tale id say he will play major role in the final battle
at this point wasting a well established character like him even on crimson witch or August seems stupid
sure, both of them are hyped, but gildarts has been hyped for years and barely ever got screen time due to being OP, and he has to deliver something BIG
if he doesnt i call bad writing

Gildarts probably fell out of the plot, we all know how much Hiro hates his character. Hell, the only reason he is able to keep lisanna around is due to the fact she is one of the Strauss siblings; while Gildarts is a wanderer. I lost all hope of seeing Gildarts again when I saw that chapter with no talking. That was practically Hiro yelling at us that Gildarts won't show up again.

I doubt that Gray or Erza could solo a spriggan,it's impossible.
Gildart could team up with someone to take down August.

We haven't seen Gray's full powers yet, so it's a bit silly to assume it's impossible for him regardless of how much hype the spriggans get.
Gildartz most likely going to team up with Makarov, and hopefully someone that hasn't had a chance to fight yet, say Cobra.

Holy crap, classy Gildarts. Well, we now know that in his off-time Gildarts is a wine taster and a pirate. Seems fitting, maybe that's why he's been with so many women.
