I saw the color page of Naoshi's new oneshot, Apple. It looks like it's about a kid who can grow plants out of his skin. It looks pretty cool.

Very quick summary because I have to get back to work:

The main character (the blond ponytailed guy - yeah, guy) is Aramiya Satoshi, who main ability is shapeshifting into any animal ...though at a few points he has plants growing out of him, so my guess is he can shapeshift into any living thing (including an elephant and a lion) I'm not sure if he was naturally born that way or if he was a biological experiment. Anyway, he's a pretty easygoing guy who just wants to be left alone to enjoy his solitary life in the middle of a junkyard, but apparently some army or another is always after him because of his ability, though he is able to fight off entire tank battalions before breakfast.

The story is somewhat serious with a few funny bits - on the same level as Double Arts. Like Personant, though, I can't see this becoming a series.

I don't know if this is the right thread to ask this,since I can't find the Weekly Jump Scan Dump Thread anymore and the R/T/S is kinda difficult.So,has the RAW for Apple(Komi Naoshi) out yet?Maybe it's already out in the R/T/S but I don't see any.

You sure that's a guy? Long hair and I also notice her breast peaking above the arm in that cover page.

None-the-less, it's going to be very interesting.

yeah, definitely a guy. In some panels he looks like an older version of Kiri. All the main characters in this story are male actually - there's only one woman who appears in a few panels, and she doesn't have any lines. (yeah, I was actively looking to see if Komi-sensei had changed his storytelling.) Will scan some when I get home from work tonight... I'm surprised there aren't any scans out yet ... Not even camshots?

Yeah it is. Last time I checked there aren't any Edited Mangas yet, but maybe there's a translation? (peeks at kirimi:3)
