Gray demonised in ch 504 is stronger than Base Gray in 500. And that Base Gray made Invel look ordinary with punches.
It's high diff... but I'll pick Laxus right now. Gray's moved up enough for me to place him at the high diff mark against Laxus... and I consider Laxus to be above the Spriggans (not the big 4). Though in a few chapters Gray might go up to tie, or win high diff. Depends on how much Hiro is willing to show.

That's definitely true but in this current arc, Jellal has had poor performance against Neinhart (he did oneshot him but he also got oneshotted and was panting and sweating after defeating Neinhart) whereas a sick and weakened Laxus defeated Wahl (albeit with extreme difficulty) who is no doubt above Neinhart. Also you have to take in account that Jellal has not shown much growth in the one year time skip compared to characters like Natsu, Gray, Laxus etc. Can he be equal to Laxus? Certainly he can but until he he shows better feats, I don't put him on Laxus's level.

Well i don't know. I don't want to downplay Spriggans, but we've had:
1) Laxus casting his nuke casually on Ajeel, and it was pictured as being able to one-shot him;
2) Natsu "one-shotting" Jacob: now i know this wasn't a one-shot since there was a fight before that, and Jacob couldn't use his hax;
3) However, we also have Natsu casually two-shotting an enhanced Neinhart.
One shotting a Spriggan isn't an easy task don't get me wrong. But Jellal one-shot his Spriggan without a fight. Neinhart didn't even try to react to that. The magic power displayed by Jellal might be comparable to that of Laxus or Natsu thanks to that feat, but other than that, Jellal showed nothing at all since there was no fight.
That's my opinion at least. There has been a debate going on, involving Nemispelled, Jko, Dr. Monty, and some others. So there's different opinions; either Jellal has enough feats but those feats are not good enough to compete with Laxus/Gray anymore, or Jellal doesn't have enough concrete feats under his belt because he didn't get a fight. In any case, Jellal might still be a top tier character, but so far in this arc he didn't show enough compared to other top dogs, so he felt behind in Domus Flau polls's favor.

That S12 while enhanced was oneshotted by Natsu's basic Iron Fist. He isn't S12 level in terms of actual firepower or stats. His only redeeming quality is his Historia and his Magical Power. Jellal one shotting Neinhart is hardly a feat. That fight was actually bad because Jellal got oneshotted by a guy who had weaker stats then Bakel lol.
Jellal's goal will never be achieved so there's no point in hyping him up to that level. Even if he had Third Origin he would stand no chance at beating August let alone Zeref so there's no point in hyping his training up when his feats are crap. How is going to even withstand a fodder blast from Zeref when a fodder blast from Neinheart oneshotted him?
Laxus lost because he used Fairy Law which drains a tremendous amount of magic. Not only that but he used had brief battle with Mystogan before the battle with Natsu and Gajeel.
He need Sema and Grand Chariot at the same time to take out Oracion Seis...There's no way Sema alone is taking out Jura lol. We saw that all Jellal's previous attacks had no affect on Jura too so what make you think Sema could oneshot Jura?
Jura was shocked at Minerva's spell doesn't mean he couldn't tank it. Facial expressions mean nothing when at the end of the day he needed Sema on top of Grand Chariot just to take out Oracion Sies. Those were x784 enemies and he had difficulty taking on three at once in a physical battle.... Laxus would have oneshotted Fodder Sies like did with Raven Tail.

I'm sorry dude but i have to disagree with you there. And keep in mind that i love Laxus, but i'm not a "harcore fanboy". As a mater of fact i actually prefer Jellal, please trust me i'm not biased towards Laxus at all.
But you can't compare Erza's fight versus Kyouka with Laxus's fight versus Wahl.
In this manga, and tbh in a lot of mangas, common irl physical limitations are bypassed constantly. There's a fair amount of bullshit happening everytime. Happy's only casualty when he had to tank Jackal's suicidal bomb attempt, was only receiving an afro.
People constantly survive extreme injuries, i.e Kagura surviving after Minerva's stab, Mira surviving a lazer shot through the heart, i mean there's a lot of examples. Laxus surviving so long despite his illness is one example. It's not any less bullshit than all of the rest, but it's not more. At the very least he was clearly, very clearly trying hard and yet in the end couldn't defeat his illness by the sole force of his... His strength of will i guess. He had to resort to Freed's magic + Wahl's stupidity, which is bullshit - but not any less than all the situations i described.
Erza on the other hand... That particular fight against Kyouka, when she lost all of her senses... That defies any logical sense. I think it is a popular opinion on the community, most agree that this Erza fight was by far the most bullshit thing ever. And i'm sure the whole community is not just composed of Erza haters and/or Laxus hardcore fans.
Seriously though, i'm advocating for Laxus because i think you're downplaying him for no reason. The fact that Red Lightning was an asspull doesn't diminish Laxus's performance against Wahl. It's not any different than another character receiving a power-up or an upgrade in magic that we haven't seen before. If you had to disregard every character that won against his opponent despite the odds, you'd be hating pretty much every good guys in the manga.

Laxus is a durable monster, the only asspull that I saw in that fight was red lightning, the rest of it was pretty damn solid.

Let's agree to disagree. Imo nothing comes close to Erza VS Kyouka's bullshit. That's a matter of opinion i guess.
However your point of view concerning bias is very different from mine. Well, you're talking about religions and stuff like that, i don't feel concerned at all since i despise religions, politics and so on. But in general i guess i see what you're saying. But in this manga based community, i don't think that's the case. There is a lot of Laxus fans, but there's also a lot of Gray fans, Jellal fans, Natsu fans etc... And the fact that we're currently talking about Laxus, doesn't mean that Laxus fans are worse than other fans.

However your point of view concerning bias is very different from mine. Well, you're talking about religions and stuff like that, i don't feel concerned at all since i despise religions, politics and so on. But in general i guess i see what you're saying. But in this manga based community, i don't think that's the case. There is a lot of Laxus fans, but there's also a lot of Gray fans, Jellal fans, Natsu fans etc... And the fact that we're currently talking about Laxus, doesn't mean that Laxus fans are worse than other fans.
Imo every bias has to be taken with a bit of salt, and aside from extreme bias, every fanboyism is the same. In a Laxus VS Gray thread you can't say "extreme fanboyism by Laxus fans, Gray fans are a lot better".
Anyway, I don't see how bias is supposed to influence me. If an argument is logical i'm going to be convinced, regardless of which character it advocates for. If an argument is clearly biased, i'm going to be even less enclined to favour the character. Kind of like i love Gildartz and think he's a beast, but when arguing with Woodentool i'm not going to listen to such nonsense.
There are many online forums for this manga. Laxus fans will be majority in most of them. That will influence everyone.
if you say something wrong about gray or laxus or jellal. There is more chances that some random person will come and defend jellal and laxus than gray. And jellal has lost alof of his shine for couple of arcs.

For example laxus using freed runes isnt really ass pull, right?
I mean freed is in his group and so he can learn from freed easily enough. In the real world, that is perfectly reasonable
But in fairy tail, where literally no one has ever used someone else magic in a useful way in a fight (including jellal), its a serious ass pull.
Same way fighting without your senses is impossible, but so his beating one of the strongest when you have been suffering from cancer for a year.
As for me, i prefer equal treatment
Erza beat koyoka with some nonsense, she is around koyoka level.
Laxus beat wahl with alot of nonsense, he is around wahl level
Gray beat invel with nakama power up, which he is at the moment maintaining apparently and also upgrade (ds) version.
So this specific gray beat someone around laxus level mid diff.
Without nakama powerup, gray might lose to ultear, a possible ws tier

Laxus is a durable monster, the only asspull that I saw in that fight was red lightning, the rest of it was pretty damn solid.
Erza had all of her senses taken away and then she ended up beating her opponent with casual punches with the explanation being "because she's Erza"
Also this site has FAR more Jellal fans then Laxus fans, so I still have no idea what you're on about..... Jellal wins just about every popularity poll and even beat Laxus in the tournament with his fans mostly using speculation rather then feats so I'm trying to find your logic here.

I actually used to like laxus alot. But the way fans treat him, that is why dont like him that much. I still like him, not that much though.

Laxus is not a durable monster. Atleast not of this extent. Ff natsu secret art took him out. Wahl couldnt take out laxus who was suffering from cancer.
There were alot of ass pulls in the fight, you just have open your eyes.
If you still cant see them, swap laxus with erza, you will see ass pulls all over the place
