Hi Allashandra. If you replied to my post, it must mean means that you're a mom.
How many kids you have and how are they? :)

Re: Manga Mommies' Corner

Bwaahh.. Hopefully I'm not going to be a dad anytime soon, not in 5 years time :darn Married yesh, not having kids just yet. But that would be unknown, ne? Who knows.... Besides.. I'm totally single right now >.<

But I feel like too old to ask for a hug from mommies around here :p

Hint on what? :blink
What I meant is that the chance of me getting kids in 5 years time from now on is pretty slim because of being single right now o.O

Then why do you write it in a way that it is catching attention? >.> ~eni

I didn't write anything that attracts attention.. unless you yourself are attracted >.>

I am? :nuts ... >.> ~eni

-_-; No comment >.>

You're never to old for a loving motherly hug :hug
^^ Thanx ^^

I think that mommy (WL) is supermom. I asked her like 10 times already, but she keeps denying it. :s

Nah~ No super powers other than my evil glare. But that would be more of a super villain thing than anything else. ^^

Hey guys... I'm not a parent, I'm an uncle though; to my sisters two sons.
I have a question to ask to the parents here however.

I wanted to ask if, I don't really know how to ask, but have you noticed if your kids forget people they don't see too often?
My one nephew is one and a half, the other is three and a half. Last year I visited them every break I got from school, at least 6 times in the year. This year though.. my sister is trying to have another baby, and my brother in law is having a lot of stress with his new job and it was best that I not visit them. So I haven't really seen my nephews in at least 5 months.

When he was younger, the old one would talk to me on the phone, now he doesn't so much even though my sister says he smiles when I talk to him sometimes. When I visit, if they don't necessarily remember me, they get used to me within the hour, but I just wanted to know if you've noticed that children forget people at this age?

I'm asking because I may not see them for a while next year, I'll be going to the army and the older one will be starting school so, in case I don't get a chance to visit again this year it'll be at least 2 years till I see them again. And afterwards I plan on going to law school and I don't really know how much time that'll take up.. anyway I guess it's kind of silly of me to be worried over it, but I dunno I would just like to hear from parents? And please be honest, don't try to make me feel better by saying they won't forget me; do kids forget people at some point of not seeing them?
honestly your pretty lucky that they dont remember you cause my five year old nephew has never once forgotten about me mainly because my sister always tells him im going to play with him when they visit now thats not so bad butwhat is bad is that hes a terrible kid completely obnoxious, just like me only a little bit scarier(especially with animals), but it was pretty fun watching spirited away with him and hes trying to grow his hair like me so i have some hope that he'll be a pretty cool kid when hes older

but if you really want them to remember you i think that they just have to look up to you i guess its up to you to figure out how to do that

Re: Manga Mommies' Corner

well I have to say that this thread has finally enlightened me to what being a manga mommy( or manga parent) entitles, it entitles being busy, like really busy this thread hasnt been touched for months, winterlion has dissapeared becuase how busy she is ( except she's always been there for translations and modding work), njt took a long break from manga helpers ( I thikn he is back though) and eni doesnt post like she used to, so to everyone reading this post, if you want to become a parent and still read manga look at what will become of you :amuse.

my best wishes go to all of you manga paretns and mommys out there especially the ones among this sites staff since they proved some of the most dedicated. :glomp to all of you guys.

Sorry I missed this. Yes I am a mom and I 3 kids ages 20, 12, and 10. The 20 year old is going through some tough times right now and all we can do is hope for the best for her. They other two are doing just great. Thanks for asking.

Yeah being a parent is a busy life indeed. And reading manga doesn't really take that much time for me at least. If all I did was read manga and normal mommy things and work then I would have plenty of time to post here. But I also run a Edited Manga group and that takes up a great deal of my free time including time I used to spend reading manga and watching anime. I am pretty far behind on all the series I follow except the ones I scanlate. Add into that what I do to help out here at MH and well I predict being even more behind on my manga reading and anime watching lol... It took me getting sick for a month for me to catch up the last time on my entertainment. Hopefully it won't take that again for me get caught up this time.
