No not at all.We already knew Igneel could have defeated END so Acnologia too could have.I really wanted END to come wreck havoc upon FT until Lucy brought him back.

The only reason why Igneel couldn't defeat END was because he loves him.

Of course there is no reason when Natsu was like 4 or 5 years old. Current Natsu is different story. I think Hiro was rushed to finish fairy tail thats why the whole END thing was rushed like the rest of the manga.

Well we saw END's power limit.His roar couldn't take down Gray.So he was not strong enough to take down a Dragon like Igneel who took Acnologia's arm.

Maybe originally in the Tartaros Hiro wanted to make END very strong.Something which can make Acnologia be afraid as what Igneel said.But he changed that plot.

Well we saw END's power limit.His roar couldn't take down Gray.So he was not strong enough to take down a Dragon like Igneel who took Acnologia's arm.

Well Tramping Dimaria's Age Seal is no doubt impressive but defeating a Dragon on the level of Igneel is way out of END's powerlevel.

In the movie END defeated a normal Dragon on the level of Zirconis.But Acnologia on the other hand finished 4-5 Dragons on that level alone at the same time.Igneel managed to tore off this Acnologia's left hand in his Dragon form.The difference between Igneel and Animus is like the difference between August and Dimaria.

END was just a shout-out to ENDless, but it feel way less interesting than that plot-point. Honestly it seems like END was just done for Gray vs Natsu battle.

well think about yes Natsu had good fights in previous arcs but his backstory still remained a mystery and it was revealed earlier in this arc and since Natsu saved Fairy Tail god knows how many times mostly Lucy, Erza and Gray they wanted to return the favor by saving him from his fate since they owe him alot.

its better if END didn't come back yea it would be great but even if END come back and Lucy brought him back Hiro would of copied it off Inuyasha and other mangas too he wanted to do it his own way his own story cause even some fans today they are comparing Fairy Tail to either One Piece, Naruto or Bleach

Yeah bro END's hype went like this

First mysterious and huge hype

Second chapter 416 END's hype sky rockets when Igneel says Acnologia fears him


Third Chapter 465 END's hype suffered hugely when it was revealed he was a child but somehow still intact


Fourth Post Gray's fight he was just revealed to be stronger than Larcade.Hype totally destroyed.


To be honest not showing END's evil form and strong END was a huge setback to the fans like me who had eagerly waited for it for at least 2 years.

I haven't seen any fans who are relieved at not seeing END fully.If you see everywhere fans are pretty disappointed at not seeing END.

Moreover Mashima is the God here.So strong enemy is not the problem.There are many series who have villains having op powers like in Jo Jo's Bizarre Adventure where Dio had an ability which is

Meh, even if END had a version more "complete" than what we saw, Gray would be able to handle it with his DeS magic. Gray has risen above Mard Geer, and with DeS advantage should be able to handle a stronger demon.

What is the point in creating END a powerful thing with tonnes of hype then throw it right away in the trash bin? that exactly what happened with END, Obviously Mashima changed plans regarding END plot. As a matter of fact, The dragon cry movie was an old writing of Mashima's and only got animated recently plus Mashima confirmed that the movie is not canon for the most part. Animous was talking about END as if he saw it before, A creature that is capable of destroying the world. The ultimate threat for the world existence, Atlas flame as well mentioned END as something very powerful, Even Igneel came out to stop END resurrection. We all believed that END is really something that is unbelievably strong, After the first confrontation between Natsu and Zeref, The whole END hype and Tartarous credibility turned out to be a bad joke. No way in hell an innocent infant Natsu would give Animoux nightmares or it would be very necessary for Igneel to come out specially to stop his resurrection, But what resurrection? Natsu is already a ressurrected Etherious guy who use Magic, The whole END plan got changed and the current one doesn't make any shred of sense.

The power differences is huge between normal Natsu and E.Natsu but i still give END the benefit of the doubt. We didn't see anything from him, All i saw was a an incomplete END, An easy mode difficulty to kill the Natsu/Gray conflict and end it quickly because there is nothing to fight over and the fans opinions were really obvious regarding this fight.
