I feel either August knows END thing fully or he sensed Zeref from Natsu.It may be he is over 400 years old somehow.

It has been first mentioned in the chapter discussion thread so i thought making a proper thread of it.

August is the end of Summer (its the last month of summer) (and there was already a scene by Brandish who talked about how August is considered the month of fear and relating it to August the person ) And Natsu is the japanese word for Summer (Hiro has a tendency to name his main protagonists after seasons like Rave Master's main character was named haru japanese word for spring) and Natsu is END…will August be the one to awakenEND.

also hades noted that mavis body still had magic in it which is why he thought she wasnt dead

and the key for awakening e.n.d. was thought to be erasing magic from this world (meaning that natsus body wouldnt have magic in it ) so I think august will kills natsu and natsu being dead will cause his magic to no longer be in his body) which causes e.n.d to awaken

and august was the one who brought up ragnarok which is their term for the dragon king festival

and it made me think ragnarok was norse apocalypse/end of the world and one of the causes/ signs of ragnarok coming was baldurs death and baldur was the god of summer and natsu means summer so natsu will represent baldur

If Natsu dies and END emerges his personality will disappear. The kind, childish and naive kid will turn into a killing machine. Zeref said Natsu was a demon when it comes to behaviour and he'd rather "act like a beast than learn to read and write". Hiro will probably do shit like "Natsu is dead, END appears and Lucy saves him with One Magic" but that'd be too cliche. I want END to be Natsu, but with more power and more bloodthirsty. By bloodthirsty i mean not afraid to kill his enemies. It'd be a nice memorial to all those years he spent with FT and Igneel.

Am I the only one who doesn't believe there will be an E.N.D. transformation? I just don't see any reason for it. I'm thinking that E.N.D. is just a name for the reborn Natsu and not specifically a transformation. I'm not sure though. If he had a transformation that could be on par with August that would be CRAZY.

I don't think we know anymore than what we should know, we know how END came to be, how he got to Igneel, that is pretty much it, we don't know what happened during his time with Zeref or Igneel, including why his book is not part of his body like other demons do or if he really did create curses.

Hoping I'm not too late to this, but does anyone else think that Atlas Flame assisted Igneel in helping to seal E.N,D away? It would make sense with how him and Igneel were portrayed to be close, and Zeref did say that he was Igneel's friend so I see Atlas being involved somehow..

The way Atlas referred to E.N.D as the 'most evil and vile demon from Zeref's books' makes it look like he had an actual encounter with E.N.D, and perhaps what he defines as vile is the Curse Power he feels from him?

It would be similar to the magical power that the Gods of Ishgar, August, Jacob and Serena felt from Acnologia when he entered the war, making it seem more and more why Acnologia fears E.N.D:

I wouldn't call it a fear. its similar what Irene said about Zeref. she said that Zeref is afraid of Acnologia but in truth he is not. Acnologia is wary of END ( he did laugh it off when Igneel said that he is afraid of the END) and Zeref is wary of Acnologia.

Looks like natsu looks completely look different in END form thats why atlas flame doesnt recognise natsu and even acnologia cant because if he knew he would straight away go to him.

1.May be or may not be.Because he remembered END by seeing Natsu.
2.As far as i remember non-Etherious can't sense Curse power.So it will be impossible for Atlas Flame to sense his power level.
3.I believe Acnologia feared END.There must be a reason why Hiro made Igneel say that.He must have denied it due to his pride.See a theory i posted in this thread few pages back.

battle where Gajeel said that Bradman's magical power wasn't as impressive as the other members of the Spriggan 12?

I don't remember it but it was may be in Tartaros Arc that was stated.Give me some time.If i get any evidence i will reply it here.

There is no hard core evidence but people assumed.Because no mage has ever been seen being able to sense the power of the Etherious whereas the Etherious can sense each other's power... Torafusa sensed Jackal's power disappearing after Lucy defeated him, Mard Geer could sense Sayla and Kyouka's powers during their fights, and so on...

Does anyone think August knows Natsu is END? Or that Natsu is Zeref's brother? 'This child' could mean a number of things I guess...

It could mean many things:

• He knows Natsu is END, or
• He knows Natsu is Zeref's brother, or
• He senses something strange inside of Natsu, or
• He is just wondering who Natsu is, judges it by Natsu's face resembling Zeref

So far those are my guesses..

Think he either realized he's Zeref bro, END, or both. August has been around for a minute to tell certain vibes from people (or demons) if we're assuming Zeref ain't tell the 12s about this already. Besides that, only theory I have to offer is I think the actual book of END is Natsu's demon soul/etherious form that's obviously linked to Natsu.. cause it's gotta be a reason for the book, so if it opens up what will happen...

Zeref has the END book with him. He proved Natsu indeed is END by piercing the book and damagin Natsu. That is a fact. Zeref is in the guild right now. END HAS to appear, sooner or later. In 10 weeks we'll have chapter 500. I think that's when Hiro will introduce the "most filthy demon of Zeref's Book".
Personally I think Zeref won't be pleased with how things turned out and he'll be like "Oh, k. You messed up my plans, let me show you something cool." He opens the book and boom - END. I hope it won't be an SSJ like transformation where Lucy or someone else from the guild gets demolished and Natsu loses his shit. We've already seen what happens when he snaps - he enters Dragon Force.
However I would not be suprised if END never appeared - just Zeref telling everyone"ayyy this is my brother, Natsu, he's a demon oh and you're all over 400 years old. Technically.". It would seem like something Hiro'd do.
