I think I'm more interested in seeing other artists/authors interpretation of the story and the characters.

This is a tribute from Takehiko Inoue, the author of Slam Dunk and Vagabond. I like it, his rendering of Luffy was nice, but I'm not sure if it would have been the same for other characters who have pretty unique features like Usopp or Chopper's forms. It definitely looks more mature, and I think many people who don't like OP complain about Oda's art. I got used to it, but I still don't like how he draws women in particular. Their proportions are weird and unrealistic.Oda himself said he admires Inoue's ability to produce such awesome looking drawings, if my memory serves me right.
