Reading back to when Blackbeard kidnapped Jewelry Bonney and offered to trade her to the Marines in exchange for the warship. In hindsight the WG sent Akainu precisely because of who Bonney was and her value (something Blackbeard doesn't see beyond her bounty as a pirate) to them. At the time she furiously states to Akainu that she would make the World Government pay for what they did, which I assumed was maybe something to do with her being enslaved and force-fed a devil fruit like the Boa sisters.

Now if we take the information we learn in ch908 at face value, it would mean her being Connie the queen dowager of Sorbet Kingdom makes her wife of the former king, who we find out to be Kuma. I would conclude (again at face vallue) that she's introduced this way because Kuma as we know it is dead, due to having his mind completely altered to that of an obedient WG pet/ slave cyborg.

If that isn't the case, it complicates things and would mean that Bonney is impersonating whoever Connie is supposed to be. Maybe her mother, with whom she bears a strong resemblance to and her ability to manipulate her age allows her to pull off the deception?

Either way she's a person that is important to the WG, to the point of worrying Akainu when she escaped. Which begs the question of why they don't simply increase her bounty if she was indeed that important? I am considering her ability to alter her appearance as a possible reason or that she's just a minor incovenience to the in the grand scheme of things.

Number #2 is JKR who recently has caught quite the the negative media attention with transphobic statements.

The difference in sales is 30 million copies. That's not much and One Piece will continue for at least another 6 years. Oda will certainly beat her.

The more I think of it, it might actually all be just because of it. The number #1, Danielle Steele is quite old already, which means JKR would have had a shot to be the number #1 herself... The outrage for JKR comments is kafkaiesque and typical of the ideological mindset running wild in the USA - where they end up with all these racial, cultural, gender issues dividing their nation in closed communauties not bearing/talking to each other, and this generates extremism in all communities. This anti-social model is starting to get imported to Europe by activists and social medias which is a catastrophy.

French people believe in the ideas of the French Revolution where the Republic does not recognize any community outside the national community, and the law is the same for all, and the expected rights and duties are the same for all. Nobody should impose anybody to behave a specific way because he thinks he is different from other citizen and normal courtesy shall not apply to him.
