For all we know, Whitebeard and the others were commander-level back then

Only kaido was specifically named to be weaker then
But whitebeard big mum garp shiki and roger were all in their 30s , that’s right around Primes for one piece characters
I can’t picture whitebeard being so much weaker than then same with shiki
And big mum was a superhuman terror from the jump
I think there’s to more to what happened then that’s being said

Interesting some of the unplanned moments from Oda :
1. Ace being Rogers son was a more last minute decision before the reveal ( which somewhat explains the resemblance between them in alabasta )
2. The shichibukai addition extended the series considerably
3. Entering water 7 , Rob lucci cp9 as villains were made somewhat on the fly as he was writing water 7
4. Vivi being the princess of alabasta was done on a whim also somewhat she was gonna Just be a baroque works agent only
5. Supernovas were made just them before the chapter they debuted

I'm not going to read 1031 spoilers to verify that post, but those honestly sound surprisingly legit. To the point where I'm a bit upset I went ahead and took a look at them. At least they are vague enough to allow for some surprises. If they are true, the next 4 chapters sound pretty good and I'm glad that Sanji and Zoro are getting two-chapter fights.

That said, I'm curious how things got so lax that a student somehow got access to Oda's scripts. That's the only thing that sounds suspect.

I kinda think Zoro was stronger than Luffy pre-1010. Pre-coc coating Luffy impressed me less than Zoro did. Zoro managed to scar Kaido while Luffy wasn’t really able to achieve anything substantial. Sure he tanked the boro breath, but Kinemon could cut it apart. He smacked drown Kaido with G4 but it didn’t actually seem to do any real damage. There was the red roc but that was against human kaido.

Zoro whited out Kaido’s eyes with tatsumaki, made him dodge, blocked Hakai and scarred him. In addition to destroying BM’s homies a bunch of times and saving Luffy multiple times. IIRC Luffy didn’t contribute at all against BM in any way.

Honestly Roger is more of a swordsman than Mihawk or Zoro, he really lives by the code of the sword. Can you imagine Zoro naming his son Wado or Mihawk naming his daughter Yoru ?

There's no spoilers, no leaks, nothing yet, afaik. Maybe some people are gifted with haki which allow them to know what will happen in the futur. I'm not saying that leaks are impossible, it could be, maybe. But as for now, there's nothing in reliable places. I would recommend to take everything with a grain of salt.
