This generally goes untouched tbh, not just because of the animation the emotions and leading up to/during that scene just make it that much better.I take the first few episodes of Wano and raise you:

Wait wait wait. How will I know it's good animation if the camera isn't strapped to the back of a coked out housefly and the choreography is actually legible?I take the first few episodes of Wano and raise you:

That's not what's happening though with the choreography problem. Maybe the case with aura stylization/lens flare/etc., but a shit ton of people genuinely look at scenes like the boro breath reflection and exclaim that it's great animation. The camera changes orientation 45 degrees PER FRAME in some of the shots, which is like... seizure inducing, but casual animation enjoyers seemingly agree that is not only acceptable but the best thing they've ever seen. The same way everyone else knows how - because someone else told you it was.
I thought it was great. My jaw was on the floor and I thought it was beautifully done. It's simply a different style of animation. That's not what's happening though with the choreography problem. I was mostly joking with you. To the bolded point, though, just know there are people in this world who think maggot-infested cheese is a delicacy. That's not what's happening though with the choreography problem. Depends on who you ask apparently. Some people compare the people like us who like the animation of G5 to the same people that think maggoty cheese is a delicacyMy favourite bit was when Luffy bounced off the walls to build up momentum that sent Kaido flying. I don't remember it in the manga. Either way, it was epic!
I have to give props to Oda. Initially I did not like G5, but now I do like it. I understand the concept more. Is that genius writing or I am just dumb?

This type of choreo and camera work is literally why I like modern action films so muchAnime fans be like "1071 was so easy to follow!!!11! Best animation ever!!"
The animation:

Absolutely dope addition to the source material. I hope the animators have a lot more rubber world shenanigans as filler in other fights. My favourite bit was when Luffy bounced off the walls to build up momentum that sent Kaido flying. I don't remember it in the manga. Either way, it was epic!

People are divided over and disagreeing with you over 1071. Other reply is referencing 1072 (the bouncy wall scene), which is pretty universally loved.Depends on who you ask apparently. That was the dark age of discussion. Rubber world definitely made the most sense especially when Luffy was still classified as a Paramecia. Somehow they found a way for him to still have environment-affecting abilities as a zoan. There were some pretty weird theories spinning up around that time, though.Lol I remember some *really* vocal people that were incredibly displeased with the idea of rubber world shenanigans back when everyone was arguing over what Luffy's awakening would be. Despite Katakuri and Doffy's awakenings being the obvious narrative roadmap for Luffy's, people made every excuse under the sun for why it wouldn't be environment affecting. Good shit.
I'm still convinced of my ancient theory that *all* awakenings manipulate the environment or external world in some way. Even zoans can seemingly make something out of nothing with the mass increases. And now I'm pretty sure the Model Nika is a "special zoan" the same way Mochi Mochi is a "special paramecia"- one type of fruit with traits of another that blurs the line. In Katakuri's case, it's a paramecia with traits of a logia, and in Luffy's case it's a zoan with traits of a paramecia. That was the dark age of discussion. I would argue at least most mythical zoans are essentially zoans with paramecia powers. I can't really think of any known mythical devil fruit to whom that description does not apply so far. Add to that, you'd expect any mythical zoan awakening to boost both the animal traits and it's abilities. I think the current situation is that in most cases awakenings for paramecia work as you mention, it grants the capacity to affect the environment in some way. But realistically speaking this can't work for every instance in the same way. It is obviously very speculative but consider two mythical fruits we have seen, sengoku's and marco's.I'm still convinced of my ancient theory that *all* awakenings manipulate the environment or external world in some way. It reflects the source chapter. Since they pretty much do an episode a chapter I'd say next episode will be similar except for Luffy throwing lighting and maybe we get to see the giant fist at the end. The most action that's left to see in Wano now is actually GreenbullOutside of Luffy grabbing lightening which was spectacular. Poor episode overall.
