I may have said this before but it feels like Oda's plan for the Monster Trio:
Luffy - molded like Shanks
Zoro - like Big Mom
Sanji - like Kaido
Zoro uses Three Swords, Big Mom uses Prometheus, Zeus/Hera and Napoleon.
Kaido is presumed stronger than Big Mom but technically Big Mom was considered his senior.
And they were implied to be on equal level.
Kaido while powerful, his thing was being unable to die. Thus equating to very powerful defense. And I don't recall but he was shown to be quick as Snakeman or able to keep up with Snakeman. Sanji Germa enhancements conceptually is equivalent to Kaido being an oni or ogre and also the enhanced defense from his mythical zoan devil fruit, and Sanji's speed was the thing highlighted after the time skip.
Zoro is considered more of a brutish character. Big Mom is technically considered a brute fighter. We weren't really shown too much in the speed feats. For example, Robin being able to get her out the live floor area or Jinbe being able to do what he did. Kaido is similar but is showcased being very agile.
Not saying Zoro isn't agile.
I didn't say Sanji exoskeleton will be tougher than Kaido's scales, just that the aspects of them do compare to the Yonko.
And even if Kaido is considered stronger than Big Mom, not saying Sanji is stronger than Zoro. Of course I do have my thing about Oda improving Zoro portrayal.
