That show is wild, just saw some explanation on the concept of the series, it goes so deep. Makes one appreciate the perspective these directors come from. Think I'll watch it again, but definitely avoiding watching it at night - too creepy, but at the same time, I have to watch it again.

To my knowledge, no clear signs of this so far in chapter 1106. For anyone holding out hope, we don't even have Bonney's full response yet so it's definitely too early to tell if there might be a miracle for Kuma. This chapter was just about the reveal.

There is a possible chance of a sign of response from Kuma in the "Kuma was right" panel (near the end), though. The little squiggle above his hat could be signs of the initial stirrings of consciousness. For the record, it's probably nothing, but I can't tell what that squiggle might be other than a "surprise" or "noticing something" one. But it doesn't have a " びっく" or " びっくり" or other "surprise" text next to it (at least in the English official or TCB versions).

I’d imagine Oda would want to be self-aware in some capacity in order to fully acknowledge Luffy as Nika, even in the event Kuma bites the dust.

I've heard complaints that the Straw Hats haven't gotten enough attention, but I think that has less to do with the number of Straw Hats, and more to do with Oda going out of his way to focus on support groups like the Grand Fleet or Scabbards. Even at Egghead, he's switching the focus away to focus on characters like Shanks, Blackbeard, Buggy, Imu, etc. so it's really a matter of what support characters Oda decides to spend his time on.

It will all come down to the new hidden ability buccaneers have but you'd think vegapunk would be more hopeful if this ability could result in kuma making a full recovery.

Do you guys think it’s out of the realm of possibility that Carrot changed her mind and willingly accepted helping Zou? I’m told Carrot is being forced to help Zou, as if she’s the Minks’ slave.

I do think we should get Kuma's reaction to in-the-flesh Nika, but it might not be from a full revival. (Either that or he could die soon after.)

The impression I got at the end of Wano was that Carrot had impostor syndrome but was otherwise willing to take over for the other two. It should have been Pedro, but at least she was his protégé.

I admit it might have helped if Carrot’s feelings and role were elaborated on some more, but that might as well be said of other characters like Yamato.

It almost makes me wonder if Oda set it up like this on purpose where it looks like Carrot will have a rough time, while Yamato has a smooth time, but then it turns out to be the opposite.

Or at least brook taking a trip to the underworld to recover his soul or some nonsense of that level. Alternatively if kuma is a potato you'd think he'd have to be euthanized or something to that effect. Since vegapunk decided turning kuma into a potato was preferable to him simply ceasing all biological functions.

It doesn't sounds like vegapunk "knew" about the new buccaneer trait. More like he had heard about it but wasn't something he knew for a fact to be true. Bonney will definitely play a big role in the future. She is powerful enough to survive the new world at age 12 and has a daddyfista army.

If Bonney is being set-up to replace Kuma as a RA commander, lending her powers to help people like how Kuma and Nika would have, then I guess it would make sense.

I still hope Bonney gets to have some more fun with Luffy now that she knows he’s Nika though. The little kid deserves some more fun times before having to deal with reality again.

Seriously though, I'm looking forward to eventually hearing what the giants know. Also, what Robin might know since she seems to only reveal what's needed at a given time.

I wonder if Elbaf will be like Egghead in that Oda will cut away multiple times to update on Blackbeard, Shanks, Cross Guild, and Imu.
