Re: Help Blai raise to stardom

aaahahahah this one's so fucking lol :D Mate and I wrote this to make a "lovesong" during aesthetic class last term.
I just wanna chill around with you
Watch a movie or two
Maybe play some games
I’ll let you win.

Wanna, take a walk with you
Do things that i normally don’t do
Like i’ll get home early to make you dinner
Though i can’t cook.

But those three little words are not enough…
You wanna know how i feel, but damn baby this’ll be rough..

If I’m the weather then you’re that weather girl
I see on tv every tuesday night after my name is earl…
If you’re a cook then i’ll be your ingredients
When i’m with you i feel so adolescent…
but as we say in sweden that’s ”lätt hänt”

I hope you got my message there, it’s not like it could be more clear
I love you
I love you
and that’s a fact
Bitch, make me a sandwich.

Re: Help Blai raise to stardom

You ever try ninja poems? Like poems that are full of symbols and a bitch to figure ut the meaning of?

But that's how I'm used to poem as, few words per line. I hate poetry though, hard or annoying to understand. <_<

Re: Help Blai raise to stardom

M3J, not all poems are in a rhyme or rhythm :x

Love you Blai. It's a very nice way to handle one's feelings. Reading em is like taking a look in one's soul. Not everyone has the courage to share such personal stuff. thumbs up <3
Love you too Evil <3
imo poems are a great way of expressing and if everyone cares to be "deep" and/or look for his/her true emotions and feelings, everyone can write good. Of course it helps with a big vocabulary etc, but that's just irrelevant. The most important thing is, as you say, the courage to expose. Because you're very vurneable when sharing something like this.

Haha, I can make you a sandwich hun <3

Nah, never tried it.

I love poems because it is hard to understand. You have to read it and try to feel what the writer is feeling and it's such a wonderful way of sharing.

btw, I'll try see if I can find someone more mature and serious...

Poetry is beautiful. It is unpredictable and so smartly devised. Take Shakespeare for example, without him not only would there be less poets but the english language would not be as diverse as it is today. Take it for granted :mad Also without poetry there wouldn't be music :D

Poetry is a way of expressing emotions :D

Majority of the big poets like Shakespeare, Blake etc. make "ninja" poems :D

blai that was creepy and funny. Like 3vil said I will still make the sandwich :D

I can see what you mean, Blai. What's your favorite all time poem?
Wording is unpredictable, poetry rarely is.

Re: Help Blai raise to stardom

Actually, I have no favourite poem. Though, of course, the balcony scene in Romeo & Juliet is majestic. The way they express their feelings so strongly through such simple lines. Or well, not simple, but the abstractionism in the scene makes it both hard to believe, yet it's so obvious... If you know what I mean >.>

btw, ren I can post you one of my blog-posts so you can see how boring I'll be ^.^

Re: Help Blai raise to stardom

True, and poems affect us different based on our mood too. And I'll just translate and quote myself.

Actually, I'll take something from my 'depressed' period. Last december.

Wait you don't have to go through all the trouble to translate. Just send me the link so I can see the length of it :D

I enjoyed reading Kid by Simon Armitage.

I have only been exposed to a few poems so I am very limited. But many Literacy teachers could have a long list of the poems they enjoy reading

I have noticed when teachers read poems they get very melodramatic about it

Ren, just one click on his nick and a further on 'Visit Blai's homepage!' ;)

I share your opinion about the different moods /:
Just like there's a song for each mood, there's also a poem for that :nod

Agreed it does depend on the mood. Oh I didn't know I could do that. Well everything is in another language I don't want to get lost :p

Badly translated since it's liek, almost 1am. But still.. >.>
Off to bed now, night. <3

Standing in the Rain said:

Until recent, there weren’t such a thing as a sex ideal. It’s an expression that has been invented by the society that we live in today. Earlier there were a female ideal, and that’s it.
Females were hot, period! But the word sex has a totally different meaning today.

Unfortunately, the female ideal and the sexy ideal have now part ways.
The female ideal from a boy’s point of view is mostly coming from mothers and sisters, while the sexual ideal is coming from media.

What once was such an obvious and solid unit is now split into two ideals, decided by two worlds.
And when we – as young boys, eventually realize that these two female icons, Mom (the female ideal) and Pamela Anderson (the sexual ideal), don’t fit together it can end up with having us waiting and waiting for this golden road that doesn’t exist. We’re jumping from relationship to relationship while trying to find a mom with silicon boobs. No wonder you get confused! “What am I really after? Who will like me if I’m not looking like Johnny Depp? “

“Project female”… yeah, yeah, all creds for that. But who the fuck is telling us who can pee while standing, that we won’t find this plastic Baywatch-Barbie who cooks our food in a sweet bathing suit. It sounds obvious. So obvious! Obvious enough for noone to tell us.

While everyone’s raising the fist for the female, including us men, the boys will continue to stand there and wonder why all the girls’ looks like lampposts. Well, women aren’t supposed to look like that. Bitches n’ hoes are supposed to look like hour-glasses. Mothafuckah. 12 yrs old and one question is floating around inside that stylish hip hop cap. He’s looking for the answer. And comparing. Shaking his head. No, this isn’t correct. While he’s waiting for an answer he starts to play soccer, computer and he’s watching the TV.

Time goes and suddenly this boy is standing in the cash dispenser queue and still he’s unable to find an answer for his question. He isn’t playing soccer anymore. He’s 18. But he still watches TV. Everything according to what the common sense and childhood lessons told him to do is done. His childhood explained to him how important the grades are, that the friends who helps him back home after a bad drinking session are worth sticking to. But the question is still floating around under the cap.

Lonely. So lonely. He stands in the rain. In a way too small hip hop cap. And wondering.

Where’s Pamela Anderson?

Yeah, of course by time we understand. We all grow up and realise fact.
But when the insight finally comes, were standing there perplexed and understands way too late how many chances that have passed.
And there comes a girl, demanding advanced planning, demanding confidence, demanding someone who she can depend on, demanding a MAN!

When the only thing standing in front of her is a boy who’s lost.

In the pouring rain.

You know how it is said:

You know how it is.

You don’t know what to write and everything feels so spiritless. Your imagination is on a sunny vacation. You increase the volume on your speakers which are playing Norah Jones and you’re frenetically thinking but nothing comes up.

Fuck.

Surely you shouldn’t have to THINK to imagine? Isn’t that contradicting itself?
Anywho… It doesn’t matter how much you try, nothing interesting, or even worth mentioning is coming up. Damn, it’s not easy to force yourself to imagine stuff, and I think you know how it is, don’t you?

You do what you can, y’know? Of course you won’t get anything relevant from it, but your imagination doesn’t have to be relevant? Its imagination, damn it! That’s the meaning of it! You know how it is, you’re sitting and watching the rain pouring down, maybe hearing it rattling on the windowpanes. It’s so melancholic, but yet so beautiful. You know how it is when you’re watching this play, sight, even spectacle, if I may use this synonymous. Rain is so moody, but yet so… so… carefree.. It’s just falling, without restrictions.

When you then turn back towards your 19” screen that made you half blind, well, your imagination isn’t really as loose as it were while looking at the rain. You don’t get the space to express yourself how you want to. Maybe I should try to close my eyes while blogging or writing something. I mean, when you’re closing your eyes you see nothing – and everything. And then, maybe then, the imagination will take the flight back from Bahamas.

You know how it is.

No?

Fuck.
Something I threw up in the middle of the night last autumn. Yeah, maybe I do need a girlfriend...ha-ha-ha... :darn

I must suffer said:

I use to have dialogues with myself, you know, talk things out... with myself…. No no no no, not that I have some form of split personalities or something like that. I think that it’s mostly because I feel bored, or lonely.

“Damn, you must suffer”
That’s exactly what I’m imagining someone to tell me. POW! And I’m back to reality again. I don’t know if it’s good or bad.

Everything seems to be so precise, so exact, so.. restricted. So fucking stereotypical! How I should be. You know, that game. The game where the girl wants to be the boys last adventure, and the boy wants to be the girls last trip. All movements and initiations are supposed to say this or that and the middle of this spectacle you can find me, wondering if she really care about me and not the illusion of a character she sees in Sex And The City, or Desperate Housewives. But you should not care about that, you should be yourself. Because if you aren’t you, then who will be you? (hmm…..)

You should wait for the love of your life and maybe you’ll find her in the queue in some grocery store, or on the bus. Well, I’ve been to the grocery store tons of times and I’m taking the bus twice a day and it’s starting to feel a bit boring.
Maybe you should go for being the ”jerk”. You know, like in those shows. It seems to work?
Yeah, yeah girls. Don’t tell me I’m wrong because you know as much as I do that this is true story.

”Damn, you must suffer”

Yes

Yes I do.

For real.

.....

So, now y’all know.

Maybe I’ll feel better now.

But like hell I will.
Another piece, around the same period
