But I think it'll be a long while before he gets to face him again; afterall he has to establish himself before playing in the pro circuit that Youzan is on.
I do wonder what will happen after he plays Youzan.
I think these two points are pretty strongly connected. Specifically I find it noteworthy that Robo's goal is merely to have another match with Youzan regardless of the final result. In other words, this rematch might even mark the end of the series. Of course there are some other possibilities such as Robo getting motivated anew from the rematch, but I kind of like the idea of Youzan being the actual final goal.
I could also imagine that either one of them falls into a slump at some point, e.g. either Robo getting overconfident and needing to be taught a lesson or Youzan losing his tenacity after getting destroyed by a top pro or something. Then the other one could recognize that and demand a match to set the other straight again. But neither of those would count as the rematch both of them want.
I think in Souta we have Robo and Youzan's future rivals.
That's not unlikely. One of the kanji in his name translates to "crow" or "raven" I believe, so he's got the bird theme going on. There's also that he wants Youzan to acknowledge him, which fits with what the reporters said last chapter, as well as him losing to Youzan a while ago.
Souta reminds me a lot of Aomine already; that lazy but exceptionally talented player and we have also a player similar (in design at least) to Midorima; Gen, who seems like the pragmatic one of the group
Not sure I agree with the Aomine comparison. It's true that Souta seems very talented, but he didn't come across as lazy to me as far as golf is concerned and one of Aomine's defining characteristics was his ego which Souta doesn't seem to have either. If anything I got more of a Kiyoshi vibe from him. Gen - Midorima might fit though.
Who of the 4 regulars do you think will play Roboto?
I think it depends on the outcome. I don't see Robo replacing Souta, Shintarou or Gen at this point, so if he ends up winning, I imagine it would have to be against Rion. But if Robo loses and has to work his way up from being a normal member to the regular position, I feel like Gen is the most likely option since he definitely doesn't believe in Robo's abilities right now (although Souta isn't far behind after their rooftop encounter).
Of course there's also a chance they all decline the challenge or something. But either way, I've added a poll for this question.
