wait, did kingmoe get banned again? lmao

i hope that the assassins coming after sanji and franky would be used as opportunity for sanji to improve himself. He seemed to be weak at CoA, so he needs to step up his CoA game.

we don't know enough about the Supernova to classify them in tiers and we have no idea how to place Sanji compared to the low-mid tier ones if indeed Luffy Law and Kid are high tier

How would you break down the Supernova if Sanji was indeed a Supernova? For arguements sake...

High: Law, Kidd, Luffy, X Drake
Mid-High: Zoro, Hawkins, Urouge, Apoo, Killer
Mid-Low: Sanji, Bege
Low: Bonney

I'm guessing on alot, but they are educated guesses at best

.
Imo

God tier: Urouge, Blackbeard
Top tier :
  • Luffy the top fighter of his tier soon to be god tier
  • Law ( the most Hax DF ever)
  • Kidd ( Luffy's rival with an iron will)
  • X-Drake ( I suspect him to have become a beast on the level or even higher than a calamity)
High tier:
  • Capone ( the best defense amongst the supernova)
  • Zoro ( will be a god tier eos, top tier by the end of wano)
  • Apoo (Hax DF and a coward is a scary combo)
Mid :
  • Killer (a deadly fighter)
  • Bonney (could be high tier but not enough info, Hax DF)
Low tier:
  • Hawkins very tricky to fight but once you've figured out his tricks he is done for
  • Sanji, a decent fighter overall just not on the same level as the rest will be high tier at the end of wano.

These tiers aren't very far apart imo as I can see low tier being able to hold their own against High and top tier. However I think that God tier are on another level beyond normal supernova.

All I did was state the facts man. Kidd accomplished next to nothing with his strength in the New World for 2 whole years while Luffy's become the 5th emperor with a massive fleet in like what, under a month? Like I said, when Kidd comes out of prison he'll likely be way stronger, but as of rn he is not impressive enough to be called Luffy's equal
.
If Kidd was in the same situation as luffy including the luck ( tamatebako, jimbe saving from the book prison, having a nami equivalent to beat cracker, morgans overhyping the dude in his press articles etc) I don't see a reason why Kidd wouldn't accomplish the same things as Luffy and also get the " fifth emperor title"

This is just bad analysis or whining on their part.

Valid criticisms of Luffy has nothing to do with valid criticisms of Sanji.

I haven't seen a single post using Luffy as the reason Sanji is being cast in a bad light.
You don't have to to know that he's part of the reason why. Just look at how people kept treating the Yonkou until Luffy struggled against Katakuri.

In any case, why's Bonney so low on the tier? We know almost nothing apart from her breaking free from Akainu's clutches.

Because she is a woman. Quite obvious actually. (Dont hate me, just stating the obvious bias. :D)

You're correct my man, Luffy's accomplishments in WCI were over exaggerated and due to some degree of luck. But you can't deny the strength needed to accomplish those feats like fighting on the level of two yonkou commander/first mate level fighters, taking on Big Mom's entire army and surviving, and even clashing with Big Mom herself and living. If Luffy didn't have Gear Fourth he would have died in that arc before he even got to see Big Mom in person. Law, who I believe is at the very least Kidd level, has already shown to be well below the level of Gear Fourth Luffy in Dressrosa. I still can't get behind Kidd being Gear fourth Luffy's equal right now, but maybe after the prison break he'll be strong enough to really rival him.

I think we're kinda getting off topic tho since this is the Sanji discussion thread lmao.

Luffy survived taking on Big Mom's entire army because Big Mom wanted him alive and imprisoned. And while Luffy did clash with Big Mom, he still failed to hurt her in any way. Apart from beating Katakuri, Luffy's accomplishments aren't related to strength, we all know if that was it then he wouldn't be overhyped as the fifth emperor because he's not on that level yet. He infiltrated Big Mom's territory, ruined her plans and wedding, and made it out alive, which is impressive.

And thanks to Sanji, the Vinsmokes could be a potential ally, especially if Reiju takes over.

Hmmm not a bad list imo... I'd probably say:

Top tier: Luffy
High tier: Law, Kidd, Urouge, Zoro (possibly Sanji depending on how well he does this arc)
Mid High tier: Sanji, Hawkins, Killer, X Drake
Mid Low tier: Bege, Apoo,
Low tier: Bonney

I'm not gonna buy into false hype, but I'm also not arrogant enough to pretend that this list is 100 percent factual and proven.

We haven't seen any battle feats from her @M3J

She's probably the best infiltrator and good at spying/espionage but besides Big Mom and Hancock, Oda has a very bad reputation with strong female characters.

My guesses are purely educated based only on what we've seen from her. If I see more I will alter my list

I find comparing Sanji to the Supernovae is pointless. If Oda wanted for Sanji to be part of them, he easily could have done so. He didn't. It's because the "Monster Trio" is a fan term, The "Trio" in the Straw Hats is Luffy, Zoro, Nami.

Luffy is the main character
Nami is the female lead character that complements the main characters weakness (in Luffy's case, lack of intellect).
Zoro is the main character's "rival", he is meant to match the main characters strenght somewhat to make the story more grounded and prevent the typical main character's deus ex machina mechanics from becoming too obvious.

It's a pattern you find, with slight variations, in ANY big Shonen Manga, be it Dragon Ball, Naruto, Bleach, Boku no Hero Acedemia, Fairy Fail, and even the often called atypical Hunter x Hunter has it.

These three are also the very first characters created. Luffy and Nami already exist in the Romance Dawn versions before One Piece, and Ryuma, the protagonist from Monsters, is essentially a combination of both Luffy and Zoro (and Nami is in that story, too).

Luffy and Zoro both are fighters. From their earliest days, they learned nothing but fighting. It is all they have. Sanji on the other hand is primarily a cook, he didn't enjoy fighting as a kid, but cooking and science.

Luffy wants to be the Pirate King, for this, he has to challenge all the "Conquerors".
Zoro wants to be the strongest swordsmen, for this, he has to to defeat the strongest swordsmen in the world.
Sanji wants to find the All Blue, for this he has to... well he has to find it. Has nothing directly to do with fighting and no one challenges him for it. He and Zeff are the only known characters to even have this dream.

So Sanji simply doesn't compare to them in that regard. His rivalry with Zoro is entirely a crew quirk. It actually comes from a japanese-austrian-german children's television series called Vicky the Viking (Chiisana Baikingu Bikke/Wickie und die starken Männer, 1974) that is one of Oda's biggest inspirations for One Piece. The series is about a crew of seafaring Vikings. In the crew, each character has a unique personality along with hilarious character quirks. Two characters, Snorre and Tjure, were rivals and would costantly quarrel about something. These characters are also the model for Oimo and Kashee, and the first arc that has the rivalry theme, that first features the rivalry of Zoro and Sanji is also about two rivaling vikings, Dory and Brogy.

The only instance were Sanji has a strenght related feat that matches Zoro's is Enies Lobby, and that doesn't mean anything as all of the Straw Hats, save for Luffy and Chopper, defeated their respective CP9 opponent with ease. They were all able to defend themselves against a hundred (!) Captains from the Marine Headquarters afterwards.

As for the Supernovae, only Luffy, Zoro, Law and Bege are (remotely) evaluable, and Sanji can't match any of them. He wouldn't break through Big Father.

The fact that this thread is still going after WCI has ended and has 29 pages means that Oda was incredibly succesful with Sanji's character design, that defies typical shonen male stereotypes (and some real world one's, too).

@Bold that's actually not true mate:
The term "monster trio" was used canonically in the manga by Nami before any fan started using the term. Oda came up with this term and time and time again he's portrayed Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji as the big three in the SH crew. Luffy, Zoro, and Nami have never been given the name "the trio" in the manga and I don't even think that's a common term for those three in the fanbase. I also just wanna point out that technically Usopp and Sanji officially joined the crew before Nami (just a slight nitpick on my part tho lol).

I don't think comparing Sanji to the supernova is useless at all. @afromarco005 def had the right idea to bring up this topic imo, although I can see why it would be a little challenging considering a lot of them are featless in the New World. If Oda wanted to make it clear that all the supernova are well beyond Sanji's level then he wouldn't have given him a 330 million beri bounty (a bounty that's higher than more than half of the supernova's bounties rn).

So she shouldn't be on any list when there's almost nothing to go by. Or at least, that's what I was originally gonna say until I remembered opinions and all, lulz. Just doesn't feel fair to have her on a list that determines strength when we know nothing but the fact that she's a captain who managed to escape from Akainu.

Problem is, Oda made it so that Sanji was underestimated and not as known, despite his strength. Sanji is more of a sneaky and crafty character, he isn't pure physical like Luffy and Zoro. Didn't Sanji get Crocodile off the crew's back for a while by pretending to be Mr. 3? He wasn't up there fighting with the other Straw Hats, he planned ahead by rigging the doors to Enies Lobby to close so the crew could escape.

And Monster Trio is a manga term, which Oda has constantly established since Alabasta, when the trio knocked out a huge sand monster and were praised by Nami as the monster trio, I believe. He also constantly reinforced that, especially in Fishman Island. Nami is not part of the trio, she's actually part of the Crybaby or Weak trio with Usopp and Chopper.

IMHO the most accurate measuring of the monster trio strength was the douriki of their CP9 opponents, and reveals how the author thinks:

  • Luffy's opponent: 4,000
  • Zoro's opponent: 2,200
  • Sanji's opponent: 2,180

Regarding the ranking of the Supernovas:

We know Luffy and Urouge can defeat a Yonko commander. Law is on the same tier as Luffy. Seeing Kid competing with Luffy in the prison, it seems the same goes for him. From the little we have seen of Hawkins chasing Luffy and Zoro, and how casual Jack was with him, he's probably on the same tier.

Capone is behind them, as he was afraid of fighting Nekomamushi or the Sweet Commanders. From his interaction with Sanji, I assume him and Zoro are on this tier.

It's not clear how strong Appo, Drake and Killer are, since we don't have seen any real action from them post-timeskip.

bounty doesn't guarantee power level though, it just means threat level against world government.
or do you want to accept that punk hazard sanji < dressrosa usopp otherwise?

Never said that it did. Even tho Sanji has a higher bounty than Zoro I still find Zoro to be stronger. However the whole basis of being a supernova was simply having a bounty over 100 million on Sabody. The Supernovas were never ranked based on how strong they were, they were ranked based on bounty amount, their entire group is bounty based alone. If Sanji's 330 mill bounty was due solely to threat level like Robin's, solely to comedic relief like Usopp's, or a huge exaggeration like Luffy's then I would agree that it shouldn't be used to compare him to the supernovas (but then again, we don't even know if the bounties the supernovas earned were exaggerations or comedic relief too).

I don't think Sanji's bounty being higher than most of their's automatically means he's stronger than most of them, but Oda wouldn't have given him that bounty if he wanted to make the point that every single supernova is way stronger than him.

In fact the people that think supernovas are all way stronger than Sanji are usually the ones with the mindset that bounties=power level because Sanji's bounty was lower than their's.

As far as I know, no official translation has the term monster trio. Nami refers to them as "Monsters", well, simply because they are all inhuman in terms of strenght, which she isn't. That was way before Robin, Franky and Brook joined. Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji were the only capable fighters at that point. However, while all three are undeniably strong, Sanji is far behind on almost any instance minus the Water 7 arc.

In his own introduction arc Zoro gained the respect of what was, at that time, the strongest character introduced yet (Mihawk), whereas Sanji was bullied by the arc villains.
In Arlong Park, Arlong specifically mentions how dangerous Zoro would be if it weren't for his grievious injuries. He didn't include Sanji in his thought, even though Sanji just defeated his officer underwater
In Drum, Zoro fought of the harsh cold like nothing, whereas Sanji becomes a victim of the environment.
Mr 1 is just vastly superior to Mr. 2. Mr 1 is the only BW agent that gained Crocodile's respect as shown later.
For the majority of Skypea, Sanji is roasted eggplant.
In the Davy Back fight, Sanji is...the ball.
In Thriller Bark, Zoro himself shows he doesn't believe in Sanji having the slightest chance against Kuma. Seing how Zoro, whose special feat his his incredible tolerance of blood loss, looked like after facing Kuma, we can believe that his judgement about Sanji is correct.

I don't think comparing Sanji to the supernova is useless at all. @afromarco005 def had the right idea to bring up this topic imo, although I can see why it would be a little challenging considering a lot of them are featless in the New World. Sanji got his bounty increase because he is believed to have brokered Luffy's alliance with the Vinsmokes. Which doesn't even exist but it is all Morgans fault for writing that semi-fake hype article. Only Luffy and Sanji got increases, whereas Bege (the actual mind behind the plan) and Jinbe (sent Big Mom flying) didn't get anything.

Problem is, Oda made it so that Sanji was underestimated and not as known, despite his strength. Sanji is more of a sneaky and crafty character, he isn't pure physical like Luffy and Zoro. I am not denying Sanji's qualities as a character. In fact, when this thread started, I was the one defending him. Sanji is a great character, smart, gentle, educated and he is quite strong too. Unfortunately, this thread became "Make your own Sanji" and people now want Sanji to be like secondary main character that can defeat anyone and is primarily acknowledged for his strenght. Which Sanji never was. His crew number is #5.

I was talkin about a storytelling design point, in which Luffy, Zoro and Nami make up a classical Shonen hero trio.
Otherwise, see my response to Charging Lightning.

Now that Jinbe is officially part of the crew, the term Monster Trio just isn't defendable anymore anyways. Unless someone believes Sanji can send Big Mom flying even though we saw that he can't, Sanji even did make an exception to his "hit no women" rule for Big Mom.
IMHO the most accurate measuring of the monster trio strength was the douriki of their CP9 opponents, and reveals how the author thinks:

  • Luffy's opponent: 4,000
  • Zoro's opponent: 2,200

The doriki ratings are pointless. First of all, only Luffy struggled with Lucci, whereas Zoro and Sanji defeated their opponents easily enough to keep going afterwards.
Second, we have the fact that Lucci, Kaku and Jabura are all Zoan users. Their doriki was measured in their normal form, but Zoans specifically increase the users physical strenght. So their Doriki in Zoan forms should be much higher.

Additionally, Zoro and Kaku use swords, which aren't taken into account in doriki ratings, and neither are Sanji's flames.

The only thing that Doriki tells us, is the internal ranking within the CP9: Kaku and Jabura are vastly stronger than the other agents, and Lucci is vastly stronger than even them.

Infering that Zoro=Sanji, based on Enies Lobby, is not possible. By the way, Girraffes are far deadlier than wolves. They fight like Kaku does, using their neck as a whip, and one hit can kill a grown man.

We know nothing about Snack, so Urouge is as almost as featless as the others. Law, while he likely would defeat Luffy in an 1v1 because Luffy is too dumb, is definitely below Luffy. See their performances vs Doflamingo. However, we know Sanji doesn't come even close here. While being superior in speed, Sanji's kicks only did little damage to Oven, and Doflamingo would have straight up killed him in seconds.

Capone is behind them, as he was afraid of fighting Nekomamushi or the Sweet Commanders. From his interaction with Sanji, I assume him and Zoro are on this tier.
Capone was afraid of Nekomamushi, not of Sanji. Zoro already implied he would have chosen to fight instead of giving in to Bege's demands. It is unclear if he could have, but Sanji apparently didn't see it as a viable option.

I think you write off Bege too easily. When evaluating him, one has to include the entire Firetank Pirates as his battle pets, just like one has to include Salome when evaluating Hancock. Vito killed 100M Bobbin in a single shot. Chiffon likely is Zombie-General Shadow level. Can't say much about Gotti, but apparently, he is a standout, too. Bege also tanked multiple hits from Big Mom, and the first thing future-seeing Katakuri did after witnessing Bege transform was stuffing the cannons with Mochi.

Sanji has nothing against Big Father either. We have seen Luffy, Zoro and Law vs mountains, but never Sanji as far as I recall. Sanji is about pinpoint damage, he doesn't have the destructive power that the others have.

It's not clear how strong Appo, Drake and Killer are, since we don't have seen any real action from them post-timeskip.
Actually we knew Drake > Caribou for a quite some time. ;)

But now we also know Drake > all but 5 other headliners in the Beasts Pirates, excluding Hawkins and Apoo who only joined recently.

Come on now, you're basically arguing for the sake of arguing here. The fandom didn't come up with the term "monster trio" like you stated, the anime sub and the manga both use the term "monster trio". Even if crunchyroll or other official translations don't use the exact words "monster trio" they still have Nami describe Luffy, Sanji, and Zoro as the three monsters or some variation of that. It's the same thing, this is arguing semantics bro. Also the panel I posted of Nami using the term "monster trio" was in thriller bark where everyone in the crew bar Jimbei had been introduced so I'm not sure where you're getting the whole "way before Franky, Robin, and Brook joined" from. And none of those characters are as strong as Sanji anyway.
In his own introduction arc Zoro gained the respect of what was, at that time, the strongest character introduced yet (Mihawk), whereas Sanji was bullied by the arc villains.
What does this have to do with anything relating to their strength??? Zoro was gonna be killed by lolhelmeppo and some Marine fodder when he was introduced, what's your point exactly on character introduction?
In Arlong Park, Arlong specifically mentions how dangerous Zoro would be if it weren't for his grievious injuries. He didn't include Sanji in his thought, even though Sanji just defeated his officer underwater
In Drum, Zoro fought of the harsh cold like nothing, whereas Sanji becomes a victim of the environment.

What's the relevance with bringing up these arcs? When did this become a Zoro vs Sanji debate, no one's denying that Zoro's stronger.
Sanji got his bounty increase because he is believed to have brokered Luffy's alliance with the Vinsmokes. Which doesn't even exist but it is all Morgans fault for writing that semi-fake hype article. Sanji got a bounty increase partially because of his vinsmoke name and partially because of what he displayed in front of Morgans. Bege was a bit underrated because they thought Luffy came up with the plan but tbf he didn't do anything impressive in front of Morgans aside from a failed attempt to run with Big Castle. Morgans probaby doesn't even know if Jinbei is alive or not which explains his lack of a bounty increase.

Mr 1 is just vastly superior to Mr. 2.
Mr. 2 Bon Kurei counts as two agents. This distinction was made probably so Zoro wouldn't seen as superior to Sanji in Arabasta... we even had a clash between Mr. 1 and Mr. 2 Bon Kurei.

Never said that it did. Even tho Sanji has a higher bounty than Zoro I still find Zoro to be stronger. Sanji himself admitted that his bounty was higher than Zoro because of his association with the Vinsmoke. Zoro had a higher bounty because of their personality, since Zoro goes straight to battle while Sanji plans ahead (i.e. acting under the alias of Mr. Prince).

Has it? I've not noticed anyone say they want him to be like a secondary main character that can defeat anyone, they're just saying he's not as weak as made out to be. Sanji was always underestimated, but we've literally seen him have one hell of a durability, even against the likes of Enel.

They don't....

Well, neither can Luffy, and he even used Gear 4. In fact, only Jinbei was able to push back Big Mom, so does that mean Jinbi is far superior to Luffy by miles?

Arc villains? Krieg's pirates? They have no honor like Mihawk does, but Sanji did gain the respect of Gin, who knocked his own captain out. Despite letting Pearl hit him out of fear of Gin killing Zeff, Sanji was still able to get back up.

If Sanji won despite a horrible injury instead of Zoro, then Arlong would have said the same thing. If Zoro didn't have such injury, then Arlong might not have commented on Zoro's power.

Huh? Sanji got his back or something injured. I don't remember how or much about Sanji in Drum, but he was fighting and got hurt, from what I remember. According to Wiki, Sanji got injured protecting Nami and Luffy from Lapahn.

Sanji took two electrical bolts from Enel and still survived. He saved Usopp and Nami despite already being shocked once, whereas Zoro was down.

Him being a ball doesn't mean anything bad. He and Zoro, two vs. three, managed to win and impress people.

No, we can't believe Zoro's judgment about Sanji was correct. Zoro was ready to sacrifice his life, not go through intense pain and possibly die, and he didn't want Sanji to sacrifice his life either. Zoro himself knew he had no chance against Kuma either, otherwise he would not have offered his life, he'd have kept on fighting.

Mr. 2 Bon Kurei counts as two agents. This distinction was made probably so Zoro wouldn't seen as superior to Sanji in Arabasta... we even had a clash between Mr. 1 and Mr. 2 Bon Kurei.

Sanji himself admitted that his bounty was higher than Zoro because of his association with the Vinsmoke. Zoro had a higher bounty because of their personality, since Zoro goes straight to battle while Sanji plans ahead (i.e. acting under the alias of Mr. Prince).
I could be wrong but Sanji never said or implied anything of that sort to my knowledge. Zoro's bounty is lower because he wasn't in WCI to wreak havoc.

@McNuss You lack of knowledge of Sanji as a character is extremely flawed.

You don't understand his role as a Strawhat, nor can you analyze his role without stating his actions vastly out of context.

I would put the effort in to rebuke you but @~Charging Lightning~ @M3J @Fox666
all had some part doing that already.

I am not denying Sanji's qualities as a character.

That's funny because you spent half a page doing just that.

No, it is not arguing for the sake of arguing. If I use the term "Monster Trio", it implies that a group exists, the so-called "Monster Trio". If I use the phrase "Those three are Monsters", it implies those three are "Monsters", but it doesn't put them in a specific group together. It is important that Nami said it, the physically weakest Straw Hat. Franky, Robin and Brook never use such vocabulary.
Also it is debatable if Pre-DJ Sanji > Robin. From Robin joining the crew to Sanji using Diable Jambe, there is nothing that suggest so..

What does this have to do with anything relating to their strength??? Zoro was gonna be killed by lolhelmeppo and some Marine fodder when he was introduced, what's your point exactly on character introduction?
It has othing to do with strenght. It has something to do with character portrayal. Oda never puts Zoro in the same situations as Sanji, be it Baratie or WCI. Because Zoro is a badass swordsman, and Sanji is an emotional cook.

What's the relevance with bringing up these arcs? When did this become a Zoro vs Sanji debate, no one's denying that Zoro's stronger.
Actually, someone here is. This didn't become a Zoro vs Sanji debate, but a Sanji = Supernovae debate, of which Zoro is a part of, and aside from Luffy, Law and Bege the only one with any evaluable on-panel feats.

It is pretty clear Sanji got his increase from a non-truthful newspaper article.

Mr 2 counts as two agents because he has two genders. Has nothing to do with being twice as strong.
Has it? I've not noticed anyone say they want him to be like a secondary main character that can defeat anyone, they're just saying he's not as weak as made out to be. Sanji was always underestimated, but we've literally seen him have one hell of a durability, even against the likes of Enel.
Well, we are at a point where we compare Sanji to the Worst Generation.

They don't....
Because?

Well, neither can Luffy, and he even used Gear 4. In fact, only Jinbei was able to push back Big Mom, so does that mean Jinbi is far superior to Luffy by miles?
No, but Jinbe has been implied to be similar in strenght to Luffy by this.

Lufy didn't use KKG or King Cobra, which are his equivalents of Gyojin Karate Ogi: Buraikan.

Arc villains? Krieg's pirates? They have no honor like Mihawk does, but Sanji did gain the respect of Gin, who knocked his own captain out. Despite letting Pearl hit him out of fear of Gin killing Zeff, Sanji was still able to get back up.
See my response to charged lighting. It is not about what happened, it is about different character portrayal.

If Sanji won despite a horrible injury instead of Zoro, then Arlong would have said the same thing. If Zoro didn't have such injury, then Arlong might not have commented on Zoro's power.
Sanji defeated a Fishman officer underwater. Arlong takes great pride in being a fishman, Sanji just humiliated his race, but Arlong only thought of Zoro as someone dangerous for him.

Huh? Sanji got his back or something injured. I don't remember how or much about Sanji in Drum, but he was fighting and got hurt, from what I remember. According to Wiki, Sanji got injured protecting Nami and Luffy from Lapahn.
Again, it is not about what happened, but about different character portrayal.

Sanji took two electrical bolts from Enel and still survived. He saved Usopp and Nami despite already being shocked once, whereas Zoro was down.
Everyone survived Enel's bolts.
Sanji was a great hero in Skypea, but he didn't stand out as a fighter. Again, it is about different character portrayal.

Him being a ball doesn't mean anything bad. He and Zoro, two vs. three, managed to win and impress people.
Yup the were great. Still, Sanji was made to look silly, because Oda makes fun Sanji all the time. It is part of his male shonen hero defying character design, just like the fact that Sanji constantly gets associated with Okama, because he himself isn't masculine in a shonen hero (best example are DBZ characters) kind of way.

I don't think Zoro really planned on dieing here. Basically, it has something to do with his believes, but I let's just agree to disagree here, because It would get complicated and I am still not quite sober from last night. I might pick it up tommorow. (wrote this last)

Honestly, if something really annoys me is criticism without arguments. What really annoys me is that you are reffering to someone else's arguments to reinforce your accusation. Because no one else here accuses me of, basically, understanding nothing at all. I have spent 15 years reading One Piece, and before that, I watched the anime since it was available in Germany (2002/03 I think) and from my posts, you should know that I know a lot about the hidden references behind One Piece, so if someone plainly says you understand nothing, it does quite offend me. Maybe you just don't understand me? Sometimes people talk away from each other in conversations. If that is the case, I apologize. Please keep in mind that I am not a native english speaker.
I've analyzed Sanji during WCI in quite many posts, and usually got complimented for it. Only now that we are at a point of powerlevel discussion, people disagree with me, but I am fine with that since I am usually in the minority here anyways. I actually enjoy discussing with MJ3, Charging Lightning and the others, that's why I come to this forum in the first place. In Germany, most people are anime-only so I don't have that many people to discuss here.
