Yeah, that's why I mentioned Oda having changed recently. Okiku is the best portrayal of a trans character in the series so far and has been treated with respect.

Him saving Okiku and treating her as a woman is a definite step in the right direction considering his character. We still have a bit of ways until the end of the series though, so yeah, I hope he keeps it up.

I did think his portrayal of Mr 2 was pretty good, he's flamboyant sure, but so is someone like RuPaul, so that's not a bad thing. The crew loved him, Luffy was especially close to him and was devestated when he found out he stayed behind. Likewise, Ivan and Inazuma were treated pretty well. It's just Sanji is someone with some issues around women, lol. But it would be good if those are in the past (my least favorite Sanji period was the never ending nosebleeds right after the timeskip...ugh...)

I honestly forgot about Inazuma, lol. But with Okiku just being treated as a regular character, not super flamboyant, it adds more to the world, imo. They aren't all "one note" so to speak.

As a side note, I like the concept Oda is potentially playing with, having Iva and the other Okama being allied with the Revolutionaries. It's a great idea to have these people who are non binary and/or trans fighting against the system.

I like that he's cool with Iva. Wish we got more of that with the other Okama. I think it went too far with it when it came to his reaction with the other Okama. Especially when it came to the ones who saved his life in FI. I'm not going to go too deep with this discussion, but there's just a lot of unfortunate tropes with that whole thing.

Zoro can actually harm women, he just chooses not to. If he couldn't harm women, he wouldn't have attacked Monet. Sanji's the only one of the Straw Hats who would not harm a woman. Not sure if this extends to transgender women though, but I hope Oda's not transphobic.

Not really. Cutting a cheek is not much when he didn't beat get, just scare her. Zoro can't harm no women at all. Tashigi is big example each time they face as well other female opponents.

Actually sanji was always the one who helped girl. Sanji helped tashigi against vergo. Sanji helps hiyori against kanjuro. Kanjuro can fly and will be a good opponent for sanji

Nah Zoro as he help girl at times especially they put him as bodyguard to Hiyori. Kanjuro vs Zoro is destined more.

He can fight them, but not harm them though as he never does even non-canon material when he face a women, he doesn't beat them either spook them or disarm them. He isn't much better in Sanji in dealing with a female as even him have his own issues to boot.

Stop discussing Zoro here, this thread has nothing to do with him. You're perfectly capable of having this discussion about Sanji without involving him.

Jeez, Sanji didn't even try to hurt Khalifa despite Robin's life being on the line, it's how he lost to Khalifa. A slash to the cheek shows Zoro was willing to hurt or kill her. Christ, this is not hard to get. In fact, the only time I can recall Sanji hitting a woman was when he blocked Big Mom's attempt to punch Reiju. Sanji is the only Straw Hat, if not the only character in OP, that we know of that refuses to hurt women no matter what.

Drake has a beef with Germa and I'm positive Sanji and Drake will come to blows. Drake wants to take down Kaido but he also wants to fight Sanji. Drake will realise through their fight that Sanji hates the Vinsmokes (he's already said such to Drake, plus wearing the RS is a pride sacrifice on Sanji's part). Could they then team up to face a YC? I'd say King because I'd like that fight for King (Marco vs King would be the best imho).

Agreed on all. I'm interested to find out what Sword is. Is it a Marine group working from the inside that is against the leadership? They didn't seem happy about CP0 being in the area. Drake is now one of the more interesting characters because I truly don't know where he stands.

Some people also have pointed out that one of the flying 6 has similar shoes with gin, so if it really is gin then sanji might get a rematch
Although plotwise it will be bad writing coz gin is supposed to be redeemed

Neither Sanji nor Zoro will likely face Kanjuro, as he is a spy against the Scabbards, and it makes far more sense that one of them will take him on. Quit going tit for tat with the dumb suggestions.
