FT characters in general don't strike me as being the type to hold grudges. I think it was mentioned most of them had troubled pasts so I don't think they would be the type to judge others for their past or mistakes. That said, it is quite obvious he is helping levi because he feels bad about what he did to her.

^Didn't they even address those facts (Gazille destroying the Guild and pinning up Levy) when it was first told that he would be joining FT?

They pretty much stated that he was only doing what he was commanded to do by Ivan.

Besides, like stated... he feels bad at what he did to her as shown by him stepping in for her against Laxus.

We know he is a good guy... shown even more by him working as a double agent for Makrov and then giving him more emotions with wanting a cat.

Oh and also if she were still holding grudges she would decline his offer to help her. And pick 1 of her shadowgear buddies. I think this arc well at least see some friedship develop and maybe a bit more.

Well, Jet and Droy held a grudge, and Levy was fearful of him, but didn't hate him. Then Gajeel let Jet and Droy beat him up, and he protected Levy from a stray shot from Luxus. After that Jet and Droy pretty much went "apology accepted" and Levy mostly stopped being fearful of him. Her fears seem to be forgotten entirely after the Festival arc and the actively working with Gajeel that was included.

So he was relatively easily forgiven, but not before he'd shown himself to be apologetic(in his own awkward way) and they were more or less even.

Gajeel helping Levy now is probably a combination of feeling though he still needs to make amends to her, him being impressed and intrigued by her during the Festival, and him wanting to get in on the S-Class trial action.

I dunno, Gajeel helping someone out is not a dragonslayer trait. They work alone. Specialy him. Perhaps there is more to it but we need to wait for it. I supose hes gonna be her champion from now on regardless if they have a relation or not.

What DS trait are you talking about? Natsu spends 99% of his time with happy and the rest of his time doing missions with lucy, grey and erza. Wendy spends 100% of her time with charle. Gazille at the first chance he got took possesion of a cat and he pretty much intends to use it in the same ways as wendy or natsu. DS have NOT shown to be loners. If anything, they have shown to be extremely over dependent. I can't even begin to imagine where on gods green earth you'd get the idea that a DS is anywhere near being a loner lol.

Gazille was forgiven however I don't think he would forgive himself that easily. He picked on two mages who not only are weak but are also something like helplessly useless to the point where levi has to pick up their slack. He also beat up levi for crying out loud. Who wouldn't feel bad for that? Obviously he was forgiven by levi but I think this is more of a matter of him forgiving himself. I would think he feels pretty bad about the whole thing.

both gajeel and natsu dont realy want to team up as DS and Wendy well i dunno shes always alone as well. Seems like dragons are solitary most of the time. (remember Natsus dad?)

It is one thing to say natsu and gazille don't want to be team mates and another completely different one to say they are loners. Natsu and wendy spend too much time with their cats to be loners of any sort and in normal circumstances natsu and lucy go to missions together. Wendy is rather new to the guild but I would think she in time will have her own team. Gazille is far to overly obsessed with having his own cat and has gone through quite some extremes to make other guild members forgive him and consider him a nakama.

-jumps into a new topic- did anyone other than me notice that ever since Lisanna came back, lucys seems more interested in Natsu Oo? U know, now shes like "Do you best Natsu" and smiles and blushed, and the thing when she looked at him sleeping while thinking hes cute.. this didnt happend before lisanna came back.. am i the only one who thinks that Hiro Mashima might wanna do some triangle thing between lisanna - natsu - lucy

Agree, they don't know how crazy they are for each other. Natsu always wanting to pick a fight with her and she's always beating him up. lol!
Like they always say, the person whom you pick on the most is the one you love.
Maybe those two need to have angry smex. (the perfect dedication song: "Love the way you lie" -Eminem ft Rihanna.)

Well, Fairy Tail's a light-hearted manga, so love is more or less a theme Mashima is likely to cover briefly

I actually don't mind who ends up with whom because I've learnt to love all the characters for their unique traits. The only exception is the Lisanna and Natsu pair, lol. I need more screen time of her or I'll just feel that her "come-back" was a complete waste of chapters... -_-

And in response to this thread (since I feel as if I'm degrading the couple that seems to have started off this topic), I'd pick the Lucy and Natsu pair. They're ... cute together and I enjoy reading their adventures along with Erza and Gray

It would be interesting to se pairing between Natsu and Lisanna. They had some relationship, though they were kids, but stil.
Also it would be interesting to see Natsu with Erza. It would be very hot)))

I didn't think there was ever going to be romance in fairy tail, but after mashima-sensei brought lisanna back from the dead, i think there will be some romance. What other purpose could lisanna serve? Why bring her back? The only notable things she had done was having a crush on Natsu and dying.

I have a feeling that Natsu will encounter another female Dragonslayer in the future mission and romance might start then. I don't know why but I just have a feeling.

That is exactly what i am thinking too...
I think the reason Mashima brought back Lisanna for Lucy to more aware of Natsu. But we are not going to see any major development between them other than small hint here and there. In fact i am not suprise they will remain friends untill the last few chapters lol (reminds me of RAVE)
