The story is about students going to SCHOOL to learn how to become pro heroes with the villian/hero world being teased on the side. It's the story he's trying to write. There's nothing wrong with the way he's trying to do it.

Also, the manga has 125 chapters. It isn't like the series is finished. He can literally write an arc dedicated to Class B and everyone issues are solved. He's not ignoring Class B, they are being saved for something special

Bamba is completely different in personality than Hinata . His genius partner is completely different than Kageyama. They're more comparable to Kuroko and Kagami imo.

and I thought the Friendly Match thing was usually very common in sports manga.
They are both loud. Banba wanted to be the team's Ace with his "Golazo". Hinata also wants to become the team's Ace, just like Little Giant. The only difference is Hinata loves volleyball. The Banda duo is nothing similar to Kuroko and Kagami.

Kagami is really good, and Kuroko can use misdirection for a short period of time. You can say Kuroko is a one trick pony, but he played basketball before, and he plays a supporting role, not a star like Kagami.

Hinata is a one trick pony (his jump), he plays 1 volleyball match. Then he and Kagayama are on the same team, then they request to play 3 vs 3 to be on the team. Kagayama and Hinata discover the "closed eyes spiked".

Banba the man is a one trick pony, no experience in soccer. Join the soccer club because of a cute girl asks him to. Got a "shonen" shot to display his skill. Then he dream on becoming the ace with his "Golazo". Since he has no experience, he can't play on the team. Then, he and Ichiharu joins force to play the captain in a 3 vs 3 where Ichiharu SUPPORTS him. Banba tells Ichiharu to lob the pass so he can overkick it.

Ole Golazo wasn't that bad, but it wasn't unique enough.

Unique sport premise (imo) is Eyeshield21 (in which the pilot chapter got #1 first ranking).

Who are you to tell this dude how to write his own story? Lol
Lol what? I'm not telling him how to write his story, I'm saying how I think the story is becoming flawed and suggesting ways to fix it before it starts going downhill. Also, and I've said this before, mangaka usually don't write the story for themselves, otherwise they wouldn't bother serializing their manga in a magazine. They have dedicated readers choose to read their work each week because they enjoy what the mangaka creates. However, if the manga starts declining in quality, people will stop supporting it, just like what happened with Bleach.

truth be told introducing a slew of new characters every arc is not exactly foreign to shounen, One Piece would introduce 20 new characters per arc and yet nobody would bat an eye over it while MHA would introduce three new characters and suddenly its in danger of being overexposed like Bleach.
One Piece has a much bigger world to work with, so introducing many characters in proportion to its world size only makes sense. Also, yes, many new characters are introduced each arc, but just because they have a name doesn't mean they are characters meant to be important to the story. After an arc is finished, often times we don't see characters from that arc again because of the whole thing with being on an island that they can't really leave because of certain circumstances. Hero Academia has a much smaller world in comparison to One Piece, at least at the current point in the story, so it can't really introduce a large number of characters each arc.

Also it feels kinda redundant to be complaining about school events and villain attacks in a manga called My HERO ACADEMIA
I wasn't really complaining about the villain attacks or the school events themselves, I was talking more about the pattern of their appearance. I understand that there are school events and villain antics in a manga about a hero school. My problem is that every new arc I'm already expecting villains to interrupt and attack the students again and again. I want to be surprised every now and then, not react to each villain attack with "these guys again?".

Ironically enough those were both villain attack arcs that you previous stated that added to the repetition, people liked those arcs because they were good not because they broke away from the formula
I wouldn't say those were villain attack arcs, they were more of hero attack arcs. They were definitely better than the arcs we have now though because they were fresh and unexpected.

I can understand where some of the frustration lie where we have to focus on a License Exam over seeing how much the world has changed with two of its biggest pillars gone.but that just reeks of impatience rather than the story being bad. I don't believe that introducing new characters is a bad thing because they had a certain levity to the setting that goes beyond the scope of the MC and his circle of friends however if those characters only exist to make the MCs look better in comparison or in the case of Bleach just hog the limelight then it becomes a problem.
I have no problems with the License exam arc because I understand why it was necessary to happen. I didn't think it was great, but I didn't think it was that bad either. It was just a somewhat good arc that was necessary to progress the story. My problem with it is what will the characters from that arc do in the future? The wind guy (Inasa?) seems important with how powerful he is and how he teamed up with Shouto and also provided some character development for him. But will he come back later and play a somewhat major role, or is he just going to be backseated like other previously introduced characters, only serving the purpose of providing some development for Shouto? That's what I'm worrying will happen to him and other characters not part of the main cast.

Again, if there was nothing wrong with how he was writing his story, there wouldn't be complaints about it now would there?
Yes he _can_ literally write an arc dedicated to Class 1-B, but the question is will he? Just because he can, doesn't mean he will. Even a couple of chapters dedicated to just Class 1-B will make readers happy, like the one-off chapter about Twice. I hope Class 1-B gets some much needed attention, as well as the other 3 class departments.

I'm not saying the manga is bad, I still enjoy it every week and read it as soon as it comes out. I'm saying that its minor flaws will start to become more apparent if he keeps the same formula.

Not arguing that it's 100% original, but I don't see it being a carbon copy of Haikyuu.
I usually see ppl comparing it to Slam Dunk, which seems to be a more fitting comparison.

And I don't see Banba and his partner as a perfect comparison to Kuroko and Kagami. I just think it's a more fitting comparison than Hinata and Kageyama.

Banba's only real similarity to Hinata is being loud and wanting to be the leader of the ace of the team, but being loud and a wanting to be the best is a common trait for MCs in Jump. The character of Banba feels nothing like Hinata though. Banba comes across as arrogant and full of himself. And his partner is a lot friendlier and open than Kageyama.

The only thing I'll give you is maybe the 3 on 3 match.
I agree that Ole Golazo isn't that original, but it's definitely not a carbon copy of Haikyuu. I see very little similarities in the two. The Slam Dunk comparisons feel a lot more accurate

@savethecat fair enough :).

-------------------------------------------

Now that I have Viz's subscription, perhaps I'll get back to MHA & Black Clover again to join these lively discussions :derp.

There are only 3 on going series that I read in Viz, plus the new 6. Hopefully they will stay. It is awkward to skip 20 pages multiple time during my read.

Lol , Kubo focusing on secondary characters is the reason why I love Bleach and why did I like Naruto S1 , World trigger did a pretty good job in that department as well , and it is the main reason why I hate BC/BS since the water temple arc.

And is the reason why it turned to crap. Focusing on your secondary characters is always welcomed if you can handle an ensemble cast but if you neglect your mains in the process then what's the point? And of course the inverse isn't any better with Naruto "Team 7 is the only one that matters" in part II. Ashihara seems to have gotten it down well enough and I guess this is helped by the fact that Osamu isn't a highly favored protagonist (he doesn't have a demon inside him or is part every power) and events don't resolve around him which allows the other characters to grow alongside him rather than play catch up.

I know that Naruto is considered a big money maker but why continue it after the main series had a somewhat okay ending to it, and most of the fans that I know have been saying that it should just end and not bother with the Next Generation thing. You know a series is been going to long when it's fans are saying that it should've ended already.

It is not just about money, in JPN this stuff is like childhood memory, it will continue as long as children find it entertaining.
