Who are you to tell this dude how to write his own story? Lol
Lol what? I'm not telling him how to write his story, I'm saying how I think the story is becoming flawed and suggesting ways to fix it before it starts going downhill. Also, and I've said this before, mangaka usually don't write the story for themselves, otherwise they wouldn't bother serializing their manga in a magazine. They have dedicated readers choose to read their work each week because they enjoy what the mangaka creates. However, if the manga starts declining in quality, people will stop supporting it, just like what happened with Bleach.
truth be told introducing a slew of new characters every arc is not exactly foreign to shounen, One Piece would introduce 20 new characters per arc and yet nobody would bat an eye over it while MHA would introduce three new characters and suddenly its in danger of being overexposed like Bleach.
One Piece has a much bigger world to work with, so introducing many characters in proportion to its world size only makes sense. Also, yes, many new characters are introduced each arc, but just because they have a name doesn't mean they are characters meant to be important to the story. After an arc is finished, often times we don't see characters from that arc again because of the whole thing with being on an island that they can't really leave because of certain circumstances. Hero Academia has a much smaller world in comparison to One Piece, at least at the current point in the story, so it can't really introduce a large number of characters each arc.
Also it feels kinda redundant to be complaining about school events and villain attacks in a manga called My HERO ACADEMIA
I wasn't really complaining about the villain attacks or the school events themselves, I was talking more about the pattern of their appearance. I understand that there are school events and villain antics in a manga about a hero school. My problem is that every new arc I'm already expecting villains to interrupt and attack the students again and again. I want to be surprised every now and then, not react to each villain attack with "these guys
again?".
Ironically enough those were both villain attack arcs that you previous stated that added to the repetition, people liked those arcs because they were good not because they broke away from the formula
I wouldn't say those were villain attack arcs, they were more of hero attack arcs. They were definitely better than the arcs we have now though because they were fresh and unexpected.
I can understand where some of the frustration lie where we have to focus on a License Exam over seeing how much the world has changed with two of its biggest pillars gone.but that just reeks of impatience rather than the story being bad. I don't believe that introducing new characters is a bad thing because they had a certain levity to the setting that goes beyond the scope of the MC and his circle of friends however if those characters only exist to make the MCs look better in comparison or in the case of Bleach just hog the limelight then it becomes a problem.
I have no problems with the License exam arc because I understand why it was necessary to happen. I didn't think it was great, but I didn't think it was that bad either. It was just a somewhat good arc that was necessary to progress the story. My problem with it is what will the characters from that arc do in the future? The wind guy (Inasa?) seems important with how powerful he is and how he teamed up with Shouto and also provided some character development for him. But will he come back later and play a somewhat major role, or is he just going to be backseated like other previously introduced characters, only serving the purpose of providing some development for Shouto? That's what I'm worrying will happen to him and other characters not part of the main cast.
The story is about students going to SCHOOL to learn how to become pro heroes with the villian/hero world being teased on the side. It's the story he's trying to write. There's nothing wrong with the way he's trying to do it.
Also, the manga has 125 chapters. It isn't like the series is finished. He can literally write an arc dedicated to Class B and everyone issues are solved. He's not ignoring Class B, they are being saved for something special
Again, if there was nothing wrong with how he was writing his story, there wouldn't be complaints about it now would there?
Yes he _can_ literally write an arc dedicated to Class 1-B, but the question is will he? Just because he can, doesn't mean he will. Even a couple of chapters dedicated to just Class 1-B will make readers happy, like the one-off chapter about Twice. I hope Class 1-B gets some much needed attention, as well as the other 3 class departments.
I'm not saying the manga is bad, I still enjoy it every week and read it as soon as it comes out. I'm saying that its minor flaws will start to become more apparent if he keeps the same formula.
