Hate for BC has been there since day 1. Nothing new here.
It doesn´t help that the anime had one job: Introduce anime original elements, instead of adapting 10 chapters in 12 episodes. Be happy you manga fans, cause I´m not.

Thats what I was thinking too, but it’d probably be even harder to make a live action out of it than an anime... there’s lots of talk on 5ch of a magazine change to Young Jump (New serials, Usogui just ended + Pro arc is more serious) but Kawada was originally recommended there after the HZ OS and turned it down saying he wanted to write for Jump instead, so idk if that means anything. Lets be honest, it’s probably just a popularity poll...

No, the main job of the anime was :bring the product to the attention of the masses. And he's doing it, as several people started reading the manga thanks to the animated series.

At this point, your whole "anime original elements" spiel has become more of a running gag than something to take seriously.

Oh FYI, I could not read past the first 3-4 chapters of BC. I hated it. I'm no fan.
Kimetsu and MHA on the other hand kept me so intrigued that I read all the available chapters in a single sitting.
I just sense more love and passion for what is being drawn in those two.

different people have different preferences, that's fine

if this guy thing is original content in anime that's also fine

one question, why is he on a site called MANGAhelpers?

Be happy you manga fans, cause I´m not.
just read this post, he is talking down to manga fans and distancing himself from them,

it seems to me that he have some hate for manga as a medium and the people that like it too

why is he here then? so weird...

That is completely fine. But you don't see others come here just to post "Black Clover is trash" but reworded differently each time.

Hinomaru announcement can be a Live Action or a Dorama.
All of that could've been announced at Jump Festa, even an anime or an OVA. I don't think they would hype up a popularity poll either, unless it happened in the past.

Maybe they skipped Jump Festa because they wanted to promote the newer things there. HZ is over 3 years old at this point and if they knew an anime was coming soon they might've thought HZ would get a lot of promotion out of it, so they skipped Festa for HZ. It will take a while until things like Neverland and Kimetsu get their anime, so some extra exposure always helps.

If a new arc will start next week its not about an ending, i don't think that's a popularity poll, maybe its a stage play.

I'd say an OVA at best.

One doesn't simply "skip" Jump Festa. That's honestly a horrible decision as you have a convention made entirely for Jump. In addition, thousands of people come to this festa. Its one of the prime places to promote something. That's why you have all these other game companies' booths there. That's why Heroaca's game got that rough Bakugou game footage; to give fans a preview of what's to come. I'm not going to rule out an anime but not announcing it at Jump Festa would have been a horrible decision.

You mean it actually has variety now instead of just battle shounens? Perish the thought!
I didn't say it was a bad thing, I want to know how many battle manga is appropriate for jump?

The guys in charge are great at making terrible decisions and we're talking about Japan here xD. The thing is, we've been getting less and less interesting stuff announced at big conventions from what I've seen, and the trend is continuing in Japan as well. You are saying that thousands of people attend the event, but why bother when you can just put it out on the internet and probably more people will find out about it that way, way more than just thousands.

This is a surprisingly tough question. At most 5 if they all have something unique to offer?

Jump announced Yuragi before the event, maybe there's nothing to show about Hinomaru anime yet, maybe that's why they didn't show anything in JF.

With that line of thinking there would be no need for conventions to at all besides just meeting people that share a hobby with you yet hundreds of thousands of people still go to Anime Expo, Comiket and Jump Festa where new stuff keeps getting announced there first. Sure more people can know about it if its just announced online but you're overestimating the number of people that follow manga and anime news especially for Hinomaru Sumou online or on Social media in Japan. Even though many people read Jump weekly, they still don't know much/care about Hinomaru Sumou considering the colour pages, the collaboration with Kuroko and the advertising with the Sumou association.

That's also a possibility. In the end it might not even be an anime, but let's hope that is not the case, I feel like this is probably the last chance it has of getting one...

I bet that's both Neverland and Kimetsu anime will be announced next year before Jump Festa.

I said above, they probably didn't select it for Festa because it's 3 years old. There's also the chance that they have no material to show like Ecchi Boy suggested above. A lot of people still go to conventions, but the announcements have been becoming less exciting each year, probably because of the online advertisement factor. It doesn't matter how many people know about HZ or follow it, if an anime gets announced, the news will get picked up by all kinds of websites and people will find out about it that way.

It feels like they would want to announce at least one of those at Festa because the timing would be right looking at chapter counts and how long it typically takes for an anime production to take off, then add to that that both are new and hot properties. Hard to say at this point.
