Summary and Preview
At 12 years old, Kawai Youko is not yet an adult but no longer a child but too young to be called an adolescent yet. Aqua Age is a story about Youko in her “in between” stages of life. Through her many changes in life, including a new school, meeting new people, evolving relationship with friends, physical and emotional changes, Youko learns what it means to be a women.
Everyone was 12 at one point in their life and can relate to a lot of the obstacles Youko encounters, like how you start noticing the opposite sex even though you have known them for a long time or self realization and the need to fit in. Aqua Age is a great way to nostalgically look back at your own past and find the younger you. [vyc]
