Song 16

Cross posted to Gintama LJ. The rational person in me says that Gintama has had a nice run, and needs to end on a high note....while the rabid Gintama fan says that if Sunrise even DREAMS of ending this series I'll never trust them again. (Not that I do now.)

I'm always pursuing the natural way,

言葉を追いかけ
kotoba wo oi kake
To say farewell.

遠く遠く　放されて
tooku tooku hanasa rete
Unleashed, these words

今　途切れてく
ima togireru teku
Go farther and farther before pausing.

誰かの足跡
dareka no ashiato
Someone tread upon flowerpetals,

つぶれた花びら
tsubureta hanabira
Causing them to split apart.

風は　空へ寂しく消えた
kaze wa sora he sabishi ku kie ta
As the wind disapears into the sky sadly

花は　また咲くんだって
hanawa mata saku ndatte
Flowers still find ways to bloom.

気づく事も　できなくて
kidu ku koto mo dekinakute
I still haven't noticed something,

春を待てず　キミは消えた
haru wo mate zu kimi wa kie ta
And that is how you who were waiting disapeared into spring.

サヨナラと　あたりまえの
sayonara to atarimaeno
While pursuing the natural way to say farewell,

言葉を追いかけ　手を伸ばす
kotoba wo oi kake te wo noba su
I stretch my hands outwards,

そこには　何もなくて
sokoniwa nanimo nakute
Just to find nothing is there.

思い出は　頼りなくて
omoide wa tayori nakute
Even memories to rely on,

忘れてしまうから
wasure teshimaukara
I've forgotten them all

遠く遠く　消え去って
tooku tooku kiesatte
They receed further and further,

ただ　花となれ
tada hana tonare
almost as if they've become flowers.
