Ok, so I'm gonna start on this series. I'll be translating from the Wide-Bans and we're gonna try to track down anything extra or tankoubon-only and add them to a final full Wide-Ban release at the end.

I'm also not saying I'm gonna try to do this whole series, as it's a really long series with a lot of text-per-page (And I already have a bunch of other projects I started years ago I'm still finishing) but I'd like to at least do the beginning.

For those who've read 'Takeshi' since the Jump Comics volumes days and have now also bought the Wide-Ban of 'Takeshi', I've got all sorts of worries. I'm sorry for the trouble I've caused. I'm sorry. And yhank you all for the long time you've waited.
And to all the staff that have worked so hard to get this Wide-Ban published, I offer my deepest gratitude. Anyhow, thank you all so much. Now along with my currently serialized series 'RING' running in Super Jump, I can get fired up about drawing 'Takeshi' again. Now, re-reading this old stuff, it fees to rough and embarrassing, but I still hope you all stick around with it to the end.

Translator's Note: Seikimatsu Leader Den Takeshi! Began serialization in Weekly Shounen Jump in 1997, the week before One Piece began. It was one of the most popular manga in Jump until it was cancelled in 2002 due to the author's soliciting an underage prostitute. It was later resumed in Super Jump (along with his new sports series RING which ran for 3 volumes) and finished out the last 10 chapters. The wide-bans are a kind of deluxe version/bunkouban reprint that started being published in 2005. They collected all of the chapters originally run in Shounen Jump, but they also include the chapters that were never compiled into volumes after it was canceled as well as the final chapters published in Super Jump.
