(TN: A couple things I have to mention here:
1. The character (who we’ve seen since chp. 1), is actually “Kaneda Masaru”, but the name Hiroshi gave him, “Kintama Saru” literally translates into “testicle monkey”…thus why Kaneda is so angry.
2. The attack Kaneda is attempting towards Hiroshi is in Japanese “Denshamichi Sumou”, which is “railroading the opponent straight out of the ring” in sumo wrestling)

While he’s been introduced from the time of the one-shot prior to serialization, this has been the only work he’s been the starring role. Further, he mostly hasn’t appeared if just in the mob shots (scenes which are filled with people) afterwards. Is it also because of his looks!? Is the origin of his personality the author saying “He’s merely a wily chubby”!? Since he’s a long-awaited character, we’ve wanted to use him a great deal but…

TN: Well I guess in the end, the duo have agreed to disagree...sort of. Hiroshi and Kaneda did come to an admittance ultimately but somehow it was more just to put up with one another even if they're in the same class. It was rather tricky but also nearly creepy in showing how Kaneda (well through his underlings) would end up taking advantage of the "Hanako-san" incident like that, which, as I've further said prior, particularly shows how characters grow and how one incident may lead to another leading to further revelations and situations. To tell the truth, I'm happy Kaneda did show up and get a starring chapter at this point...and while my favorite chapter with him isn't going to be for a while (yeah, he does get his wish...even if it isn't as much as he probably would want), something is better than nothing for him.

Oh and BTW: this chapter is crucial not just for Kaneda...but seems to increase another character's potential who may or may not show up later. Remember that girl in the plaid dress Kaneda supposedly was bullying…well, there was back in vol. 1 a girl by the name of “Noriko” mentioned by the shadow creature that imitated Miki. Here we have a girl named “Noro-chan”, rather cute but somewhat meek in appearance. Putting two and two together, this possibly could a followup in the existence if it's the same: Noro-chan is Noriko and maybe there is a new character for the series…but the name is probably just coincidence and I doubt we’ll see her again considering how many character designs end up being used once and forgotten…remember what they said: they make up a ton of designs for classmates and most never return. So I'm sure this Noro-chan probably won't show up again and that "Noriko" was just some name thrown out...
