(Translator’s Note: This is a weird pun but I’ll explain it: Bo-bobo changes some of the letters in Star Saber’s “Megaton Punch” into “Megaten Ponchi”. “Megaten” is an expression of “to be surprised off guard”. While the “Ponchi” here I think has two meanings: one being connected to “ponchie”, which is the Japanese word for “caricature” or “cartoon”. The other “Ponchi”, as seen by the raccoon-like tail, is a weird reference to the perverted tanuki spirit “Ponchi” from Hiroyuki Takei’s “Shaman King”. The gag could even be taken further with the appearance of the pocket in Bo-bobo’s outfit, thus you could even make it “Megaten Pouch”. I think that covers all of them)

Translator's Note: Well I guess that's what happens whenever Don Patch doesn't fight or show up: he returns to that bizarre face like he did back when Heppokomaru fought way back. But hey, its great they gave him a break since the chapter somehow regained a lot of humor after a lot of the crap going on last time. It almost seemed unbelievable that you could have a sci-fi-based power-up, but just the whole idea of a robotic-looking bowl of Ujikintoki floating around was just a crazy and classic moment. As was the whole "freezing up Tennosuke so Hatenko could use him for an attack bit"...though as I said eariler: Bo-bobo makes a terrible Michael Jordan so he shouldn't try that again. (well it probably was either him or the lead from "Slam Dunk"...but come on, its Jordan) And while I still don't even know if Bo-bobo was doing a Shaman King reference with "Pochi", I would like to think he was...
