(though the fact that Combat Blues is still with him even after everyone else abandoned him...the 3rd must have a lot of porn lying around to keep him happy) But regardless, we've finally made it to Bo-bobo's 4th year anniversary in 2005! Things were going rather well as the series approached 200 chapters: video games were still coming out for the franchise via Hudson, the anime was entering into Former Maruhage (though it did take a while due to the off and on airings in the previous year), and the manga was beginning the long awaited Hair Kingdom arc! Sure all good things weren't going to last for much longer...but it was still a big and important Jump series at this point regardless)

(TN: Now that it's charted out, I can finally reveal it properly: the "Five Hair Siblings" are named from oldest to youngest by the vowels in their name. Vowels in Japanese go in a different order than they do in English: where English vowels go in the order of "A-E-I-O-U", Japanese vowels go as "A-I-U-E-O", as do the various sounds that make up the Japanese alphabet are also coordinated by the same sounds. Thus, while the letter "B" is kept the same for all of them, you can tell that Ba-baba is oldest due to his name being "Ba-baba", "Bi-bibi" is second oldest, "Bu-bubu" (whoever that is) the middle, "Be-bebe" is the fourth (thus younger than Ba-baba, Bi-bibi and Bu-bubu but still older than Bo-bobo) and "Bo-bobo"...well, he's left so he's the youngest of them all)

TN: It's sort of shocking: Bo-bobo and Hatenko have come all this way just to handle unfinished business...and yet the greatest threat perceived by the gatekeepers is Don Patch! (let alone by a creature Don Patch thought he made up in his head believing he was Bi-bibi!) He really gets around with everything he's pulled, hasn't he? While it's sort of obvious that Pigmuck isn't Bi-bibi (or Don Patch is...um, Do-dodo), you have to admire Sawai taking a bizarre creation from someone's imagination and make him actually exist in the storyline. Between him and Invi, the Suicide Corp is really filled with weirdoes, aren't they? (and that's not talking about the duck) Outside that head-scratcher, you do have to admire that for the first time, Bo-bobo actually starts to doubt his own abilities on his own to defeat what could be one of his greatest enemies. Considering how he needed someone to destroy his own sense of reason just to defeat Be-bebe (and considering Ba-baba and Bi-bibi are older and likely more powerful), you can sense that he really means he needs everyone of his other allies to get through what is probably his hardest battle ever. (well it was obvious him and Hatenko were going but they're grateful the others came along) There is though one more interesting fact that I just want to implant for the time being: is it just me or is there a particular usage of "Bi-bibi" so far in this arc? If Ba-baba and Bi-bibi are the threats, why is it only Bi-bibi's suicide corp? Well...that answer is coming but I really can't say why just yet. (but it's sort of weird, whether it is Sawai doing it intentionally or just because...)
