We even saw how they fell in love, how they interacted with each other, how the romance developped, and eventually they became a real couple during timeskip. This is a real relationship. And it gets eliminated before Ichiya x Anna. I genuinely don't understand, please someone explain.

You're trying to understand the logic of a fandom that claims Natsu and Lucy had more development than Gray and Juvia or is somehow more legit/canon. You're better off just ignoring.

Personally, I don't see it. So what better option than to pair them with each other? They have the best bond in Mermaid Heel, I doubt this is questionable. Millianna believes Kagura is night unbeatable during the Grand Magic Games.

And they even look good together in a team.

Additionally, they were initially tied by their hatred for Jellal, someone who had played a part in making both their lives a living hell.

So ... hello. I wish I had something informative to share about this ship, but, uh ... I really don’t. I couldn’t find ANY single form of fanart from this two which is utterly sad, though it’s not like I expected anything else when their whole relationship is based around that one single panel I just posted. So if you have any fanart related to them, call me.

Luckily for all we have commenters. Lenny thinks about things one shouldn’t think about: “I bet their child would look hilarious!” Suddenly I feel very sick. According to Emperor Spriggan, them having children isn’t realistic because “Ehhhhh....Anna shouldn't even be a thing in this manga.” Thank you for the ass pull Bitchshima.

Meanwhile, Jko finds their ‘relationship’ a bit out of nowhere: “That came from the left field.” This probably makes kira think they don’t deserve to be in here: “Srsly? They make the cut but not mystwalker? They get a 6 from me anyway.” Way too high. All this doesn’t really convince Takuan either: “With only a couple of pages, this pairing got better than a lot of ships. Still though, not enough for me to take it seriously.” Yes, and look what this disgraceful people did. A MARRIED COUPLE GOT KNOCKED OUT BEFORE THIS!

Why 1s? They seem like they would make a good couple. Millianna can help Kagura with her shyness and Kagura can help Millianna focus.

Am I going to be the first person in this thread to complain about why my ships are going down first? "Why isn't X ship out yet?"

I know, Ichiya is rocks or diamonds, some find him off-putting. And Anna only became a thing in the last 20 or so chaps. I didn't expect this one to do well.

This pair did deserve my 11 though. Ichiya probs has the biggest heart in all of FT, on par with Lucy. So if Lucy is out of the question for him, then the older version of her in Anna would do just fine (I tried using a different word than 'older' too, as a gentlemen). Then you add the panels of heroism to certify this ship.

To offset my 11 here there were 11 x 1's? I got some 1's for ya, my 11

Really hope some of my 10's last a while. If Kyoka x Sayla go out in the 20's...

I can't believe that so many people are surprised that Ichiya x Anna made it this far. The pairing may only consist of one page but that page was probably one of the most beautiful scenes in Fairy Tail.
Look at them looking into each other's eyes as they prepare to sacrifice themselves, and Anna is even blushing. They simultaneously recognize the greatness and nobility in each other's hearts. Anna looks past Ichiya's unpleasant face to acknowledge his inner beauty for Ichiya has become "a true man" in her eyes.

Yeah idk. I guess this ship really receives either love or hate, just like Ichiya does. I personally dont hate him or the ship, just don't understand where the love comes from. This ship ain't even a ship in my books, just like NaLi or LaxusxCana... Well at least NaLi had some past to it.

The reason i find Ichiya x Anna ridiculous because Anna supposed to have a husband from 400 years, Well Mashima likes Ichiya, It won't surprise me that he actually give him a heartfilia, I don't know if it's a troll ship or not but it annoys me alittle bit.

They were cute in Alvarez, but the dummy didn't notice her a year ago lol.

Lyon's only ship should be with Sherry, I dont like how he constantly swaps from one girl to another, first Juvia then Meredy? Naah, not cool.

I don't know. Meredy didn't show any interest towards Lyon, and Lyon kinda switched from Juvia to Meredy rather easily. I don't take this ship seriously, though they'd be great together.

Ugh this is probably the shallowest nonsense I've seen in the whole series. Seriously, I don't even have an idea how this became that big a thing simply from one panel, so I won't even bother trying to sugarcoat. Lyon is one of my favorite underrated characters in the show, but I dont like how Mashima writes him whenever girls are around. It's like he becomes an emotionally stunted baby who can't focus on only one person.

As far as fan art/colorings go, these two have some pretty sweet ones, but that's all they have going for them. It's eye candy.

Haven't check the thread for a while, so let me say a word about all ships eliminated so far

Natsu x Erza - it was nice bro-sis ship, I enjoyed it especially in ToH arc, before it turned into "let's watch in awe whatever reckless thing Natsu is doing this time"

Laxus x Cana - not for, not against, but for me it doesn't look as good as his ship with Mira or Brandish.

Gray x Erza - just another bro-sis relationship. I've never seen them as a pair tbh, always only friends and nothing more

Gray x Mira - just as Grayza

Natsu x Lisanna - ugh I'm not a fan of Lisanna nor her come back and if Hiro wanted to increase harem of potential wifes for main hero, then imho he failed. After she returned, Lisanna became totally irrelevant to the plot, so her paneltime with Natsu was limited, thus NaLi didn't convince me at all.

Ren x Sherry - not that I don't like them, just don't care about them But they're canon, so best wishes for them.

Kagura x Miliana - very nice sistp, they seem very close. Too bad they didn't have more paneltime

Ichiya x Anna - Anna shouldn't have appeared in the first place, so this ship shoudn't exist too Sorry for this 1, @Brandish, but man like Ichiya deserves better, than some recent made-up ancient milf

Lyon x Merudy - I like Merudy, but Lyon... not that much I wish to know her thoughts on him tho, we only know, that he was enchanted by her

Not the biggest fan of this really, which is a shame because I love Meredy and think Lyon is actually pretty cool (pun intended). As @Linali pointed out, we don't really know what Meredy thinks about Lyon, all we know is that he's captivated by her. I'd have prefered to see how her and Midnight get on tbh, they've been fighting together for a year now and it would be interesting to see where they stand. Even if it isn't a romantic relationship Midnight is the de-facto 'leader' of the Seis whilst Meredy is Jellal's closest ally, so there's potential there IMO.

Btw, great write ups so far guys, the fanart is on point.
