I do not know if this is the right thread for this question but i try it

I heard that the Third OVA of Fairy Tail will be released with the 31st volume of the Manga and that Mashima wrote the story. It will come out in February.
Has anyone more informations about the OVA?

I doubt we'll get fights.

It's probably going to be a "top8" kind of battle, something like team 1 fights team 2. Or like in some games, team 1 fights team 8.

Since the preliminary round has already happened, I'm now seeing them fighting "directly".

It comes out with the Limited Edition of volume 31 on 2/17/12. It's titled "Memory Days"

The less people from Edolas the better IMO. Unless its a mini chapter to show how FT and King Jellal in Edolas is doing right now.

Think this arc is to repair the power scale in the manga, while it's unhealthy to think too much in power scales, FT has often been seen as always winning through "love & friendship".. which is one of the mangas weaknesses in terms of realism, so I wouldn't be surpriced if this is what Mashima is attempting, his a young writer isn't he?

So including all the old characters Mashima can justify the past manga events, if he plays this right.
Also it would be perfect conditions to set up the basic grounds for a new major, perhaps final arc, who knows, something BIG really seems to come after this arc, or it'll cut midway into a final part of the arc.

Mashima is not a new/young author, he made Rave Master which was a popular manga before FT and he is 36ish years old now I believe.

Anyways FT has always been a bit weaker than their villain counter parts so I think this is a good chance to fix that by making the fights a bit more equal.

The reason I say Ft was always a bit weaker is because usually they required teamwork to finish off most enemies.

Can i get review from anyone this thread , I don't mind about positive or negative point in this series since i planning to buy Fairy Tail manga , plus i am huge fan of Rave ... I think about buy 1-5 vol but 6- 18 still there in store ..


one thing, I hear about this series about rave review about it but i don't read it yet ... they do have plot , humor , or interesting ? i am just new to this series ( please easy on me since other website give me hard time and too much rant about fairy Tail and copy from one piece or other series but i know One piece and Fairy Tail authors share manga industry view, oh well stop blah)

is it worth buy book? ( Please don't tell me about online or download) i love to read hard copy in my bed..or my break

I have Fairy Tail Volume 1-24. I think it's definitely worth a buy. I don't think it's as good as Rave, though. But it's a fun enough read.

i have read a few people on here and a few other places say Mavis is a "HE" but i beg to differ, Mavis seems to be a female, i do not believe the manga ever decisively stated one way or the other what say yea' good people???

i was kind of thinking mavis was an actual "fairy" due to the wings on the side of her head

yes i said her because i really dont see mavis being a male, or a "trap/ crossdresser" or anything strange like that

I'm nearly 100% sure Mavis is female. Just her name screams female to me. She wears pink and a dress as well. Her face is very feminine as well. Too feminine for even a bishonen.
