Re: Laxus Dreyar Thread

The dragons are strong, I'm not denying it. Even if they are stronger than the demon race, it won't be by much. However, if you listened to Future Rogue, he didn't say his 7 dragons could defeat Acnologia. You serious? Even Future Rogue himself wouldn't say that. Future Rogue's original plan was to release 1000+ dragons or I forgot the exact number through the eclipse gate to defeat Acnologia. That was why he didn't want Lucy to shut it. Lucy cut the gate short when she sealed it which foiled Future Rogue's plan.

Who said Future Rogue fought against Mard? In the future timeline, the dragons passed through the eclipse gate before any of the events that we've seen afterwards. The future timeline consisted of GMG -> Eclipse -> Second Dragon Age. There was no such thing as Sun Village, Tartaros, Mard himself, parent dragons, and Alvarez.

Idk who fed you all of those made up nonsense about the severed future timeline that you just told me.
Future Rogue's timeline didn't have any dragons pass through the eclipse gate. In his timeline, there was only one dragon which ruled the world. That same Dragon killed Natsu and Frosch as well as others, and that Dragon was Acnologia. The timeline we currently have is exactly the same as Future Rogue's minus Future Rogue appearing in this timeline and releasing some dragons, and the only other difference in timelines is that Frosch didn't die via Gray's hand when he was in Avatar this time.

Given this, its entirely plausible that Future Rogue, much like the events in this timeline, fought Mard Geer in the battle of Tartarus.

I was wrong about that.

Basically he said in the 7 years, dragons ruled the world, but Acnologia didn't rule the world until the year of X798

Future Rogue may have lied because he wanted Lucy to open the Eclipse Gate. Whether he lied or not is not my problem.

In Future Rogue's timeline, Sting died since Future Rogue killed Future Sting for his magic. The current and future timelines don't correspond to each other and may not have transpired the same way, Utear already made sure of that when she turned back time to revive the people that were supposed to have died in the future of the current timeline

The manga doesn't say anything about draining magic. I've actually went out of my way and looked into the anime. It says life force, not magic. Deliora doesn't even use magic. He would be using curses. However, fine, I'll give you the point that Ur's ice can slowly drain its target's life force.

That still doesn't make Deliora that impressive. Put it into context. Atlas Flame was already dead. He would have only been a fraction of what he was when he was living, especially after being weakened further by SIlver's ice. Yet he was still able to gather enough power to thaw the entire village after being restored by a bit of Natsu's fire. The other dragons survived 400 years without a soul. They were half dead and were still capable of tearing up Ishgar's super-weapon. Igneel was even able to go toe to toe with Acnologia. I don't see why we should believe that Deliora was impressive because he died after being trapped 10 years in ice. If Deliora was truly as strong as you said he was then he should be flying around continents within seconds or leaving behind ghosts whose magic can effect entire towns. Instead, he fell apart after raising his arm. We're supposed to put him on par with dragons because of that?
By the way, Ur draining the life force is the same thing as magic power. When a person's magical power depletes to 0 they die. You don't have to tell me what the manga and wikia says. I already know for a fact. I'm not a fanboy of Gray, but I am a Gray fan. Trust me, I know Gray and his magic capabilities, both Ice-Make Magic, Ice Magic, and Ice Devil Slaying Magic.

I'm not going to argue with you. Twist it all you like, but it is common sense that if Deliora was alive and strong before Iced Shell, but was dying or dead afterwards, it means his magic energy was zapped. Deliora didn't die from old age or it woulda said so and the cold did not affect Deliora or he would be a dumbass to wander around the northern continent.

Idc to talk about Atlas Flame because he isn't impressive, but be my guest and ramble on about him. For the last time, Deliora died after lifting his arm because he was already a dead corpse. Atlas Flame woulda died the same if he was encased in Iced Shell. Atlas Flame's performance in Sun Village was pitiful and Gray bailed him out.

If anything, Gray gets the credit and Atlas Flame can go about his own ways. Deliora took more action than Atlas Flame and proved himself a worthy opponent for a person on a TWS level, Ur.

Deliora who could not be beaten but only sealed is a great feat, he has proved himself and honorary and worthy opponent. Atlas Flame died and became a ghost like Zirconis. I don't see how there is any competition here.

Again, I'll ask you the question, do you have any proof how Atlas Flame or the dragons are stronger than Deliora? There are no feats and both of us are pure speculating. I have my opinions, but to say that Deliora is an old giant that was pathetic enough to raise his arm before dying takes a lot of guts.

Whether you like the spell Iced shell or not or agree with it or not is your choice. A lot people call it OP, but to deny it of its properties is plain annoying. I can deny that END is strong and say END would bow down to Gray. How does that seem fair? I give credit to the people who deserve it, simple as that

Re: Laxus Dreyar Thread

It says life force. When a person's magic power goes to zero they do not die. Makarov has had his power drained to zero. Natsu had his power stolen by the Eclipse. Lucy has ran out of power. Natsu has ran out of power. Gray has ran out of power. Erza has ran out of power. Laxus gave Natsu every single drop of his magic. They all didn't die. Deliora doesn't even use magic because he's an etherious. He uses curse power.

Deliora was a more worthy opponent? He was sealed by a wizard saint level opponent. Makarov with an entire guild couldn't lay a scratch on Atlas Flame. Laxus, a dragon slayer, couldn't land a single scratch on Atlas Flame. Atlas Flame's power knocked out Motherglare. Atlas Flame WON his fight.

Atlas Flame was a memory and he still thawed out the giant village. That's more than Deliora just raising a hand and then crumbling. See, I don't believe you for a moment when you say you're not a Gray fanboy. Look at the way you're trying to praise Gray by having him take the credit for Atlas Flame melting the village. That power came from Atlas' spirit and a bit of Natsu's fire. Gray simply freed him. He had nothing to do with Atlas having enough power to melt the village. I don't want to lectured about "giving credit where credit is due" from someone who won't even acknowledge Gajeel or Erza in a top 10 list despite having Jiemma on it. Saying that Deliora can smash a face by leaning on it is undue credit. Saying Deliora would be twice as strong as Atlas Flame's memory if he had a ghost is undue credit. Saying Deliora can smash 500+ faces if he only had wings is undue credit.

I've given you proof that Motherglare's roar is significantly more destructive than Deliora's breath. Anyone who doesn't kid themselves into thinking that a mountain can fit inside a street can see this. Atlas Flame tanked that roar, and it was his power that defeated Motherglare. Does Deliora have a feat as powerful as Motherglare's roar? Does Deliora have a feat of tanking an attack as powerful as Motherglare's roar? No. Has Deliora ever defeated an opponent on the level of a dragon like Motherglare? No. Does Deliora have a feat demonstrating he can destroy 500+ targets over a continent? No. Deliora has no impressive feats so to speak of. Just your say-so that he can do everything the dragons can.

Tempesta's mashou ryuushi is not poison. It is particle that can destroy Ethernano. Poison is different. It destroys biologically

Tch, you're not even listening to what I say. It was said in Tartaros arc that for a Mage or even a human being in Earthland, if you lose your magical power, you die. Which is why Tempesta's poison was fatal aka if you don't know the term, magic deficiency. It is why Face was a near threat. In order for a wizard to live, he/she need magic energy or else they are dead. Hence, if your magic energy level is 0 you have none.

Atlas Flame got a chance to fight. Deliora didn't. You talk like you know Deliora when you don't. Deliora was never beat, he was simply sealed. Atlas Flame lost his battle during the Dragon War.

I'm no fanboy, so you can stop in your tracks right there. You are kissing Atlas' Flame's ass more than I am talking about Deliora and Gray combined. Atlas Flame is in debt to Gray and was beaten by Silver. You boast Atlas Flame had the power to melt the ice, why didn't he melt himself and save his own village?

That's right, Silver froze Atlas Flame and there was nothing he could do about it. Gray saved Atlas Flame's ghost and Flare's village. Let your fanboy out.

If you still don't get the difference between Motherglare and Deliora, scroll back up. I'll put it quite simply this time. So open your eyes.

Motherglare's war was seen from a semi-aerial view and he had a direct shot at the horizon, which allowed him to shoot at the center of the mountain, at its core.

Deliora's shot came from ground zero in straight line through buildings, ruins, and rubble. At best, the shot would hit the base of a mountain, the mountain's strongest point.

This is logic at its best so if you don't get it, then forget it. If you want to, you can figure it out yourself and if you don't, then go ahead and don't bother for all I care........

Re: Laxus Dreyar Thread

Where does it say that you die when you run out of magic? Show me. Here is Natsu running out of magic:
http://www.mangapanda.com/fairy-tail/411/13
Here Natsu's says his magic is at 0. Newsflash, he's not dead. It's like you don't even read the manga.

When did Atlas Flame lose his battle in the dragon war? Now you're just making stuff up.

Atlas Flame did have the power to melt the village. That's exactly what he did. Stop trying to attribute that feat to Gray. Gray freed Atlas Flame. He didn't contribute to Atlas' power. Lol, Atlas Flame was already dead when he met Silver. Beating him honestly isn't that impressive. More impressive than watching Deliora die, yes...However, it wasn't as if Atlas Flame still had his power as a dragon.

Excuses. Excuses. Motherglare blew up a mountain. Deliora barely took out a street. Deliora's roar wasn't anywhere close to that of a mountain. It was small. Blowing up a mountain is more impressive than blowing apart some buildings. Stop trying to twist your way out of this one.

I would have to search through a whole episode or volume. Like I said, if you want to find information, find it yourself. Its called magic deficiency.

Shocking: Natsu is exaggerating. You believe somebody like Natsu knows what true 0 means.? 0 means none which means death for a Wizard/Mage..

Atlas Flame could melt a village, but he couldn't stop Silver and melt himself?! Idc what you have to say, that statement makes myself clear. Gray gets the credit he deserves and Atlas Flame gets the credit that he has shown himself to complete.

Go ahead, if you don't get it, then you don't get it. You are fanboying Atlas Flame and the dragons.. I don't fanboy anybody, but go ahead, call me what you want.

Natsu's power is at 0. He didn't die. You don't die when your magic reaches zero. Nowhere in the series does it ever say that you do. I've checked. I'm growing tired of these excuses.

Lol. Atlas Flame was a sitting target on an altar. Defeating him is nothing special. Silver didn't even hear him out to realize he wasn't a demon. Nobody is saying Atlas Flame is a god because it. The fact that Atlas Flame could still muster up all that power as a memory, however, is simply more impressive than Deliora falling to pieces.

Anyone with eyes can see that Motherglare's roar
http://mangafox.me/manga/fairy_tail/v39/c333/8.html
http://mangafox.me/manga/fairy_tail/v39/c333/9.html
is larger than Deliora's breath.
http://mangafox.me/manga/fairy_tail/v05/c037/15.html
http://mangafox.me/manga/fairy_tail/v05/c037/16.html
The fact you're trying to so desperatly come up with nonsense excuses like "the aerial angle allows it to hit the mountain in the center" is very revealing. You don't want to admit that Motherglare simply has a more powerful attack than Deliora. Also, what you say doesn't make any sense. Just because you fire a blast into the core of the mountain, it doesn't mean that mountain would explode. The energy of the blast has to come from somewhere, and it comes from the power of the roar. That explosion would have been that large with or without the mountain. Deliora's breath attack destroyed buildings. A mountain has more mass than buildings. One attack is clearly superior.

Re: Laxus Dreyar Thread

To me, Motherglare certainly has a much more powerful attack than Deliora. Consider the distance that roar had to travel to hit that mountain. It traveled for miles and still hit the mountain with an incredible amount of force, even though the roar would've been weakened a bit travelling that huge distance. Imagine how much more destruction there would be at close range. Thats way more than any demon that we've seen in the story could ever dish out.

Re: Laxus Dreyar Thread

Deliora was ultimately defeated by a human attack, ice shell. We have not yet seen an upper limit to what ice shell can do in regards to suppressing enemies, we just know it is high. However as far as dragons go their power is supposed to be altogether above human safe for the cases where dragon slayer magic is involved. And even with dragon slayer magic it takes people apparently overwhelmingly more powerful than the likes of laxus to get the job done. Ur was as far as the manga has told us a top class magic, one comparable to the 10 wizard saints at that. We need more information but IMO ice shell probably cannot hold a dragon. At this stage I wouldn't even be surprised if even zeref was not a match for a regular dragon (like the ones we saw during the eclipse events). With that in mind it stands to reason that deliora is much weaker than a dragon even if at his prime he was much stronger than one of the 10 wizard saints.

So I've got a random though. I just rewatched all of the Edolas arc. In regards to what we know now about Fairy Heart, and assuming Fairy Heart was sucked up into the Anima with the rest of the guild. IF that giant lacrima has exploded, thus releasing Fairy Heart, Edolas would have gotten endless magic. The thought kinda shocked me while rewatching the show, since when Edolas was happening I was like "how would THAT create endless magic"

Re: Laxus Dreyar Thread

May I remind you that Laxus was actually the one who told us that 'It's not about being strong or weak' in the fight against Hades. Personally I think almost everyone in Fairy Tail is strong and I'm not only talking about physical strenght. I'm a Laxus fan too, but not because he is strong, just because he is an amazing character.
Is this a response to my post? I am not sure of how it relates to my point (about ice shell probably not being able to hold deliora) if it is...

True, but it's not like Earthland's magic is infinite because of Fairy heart, or that the king knew about fairy heart. I suppose the amount would have been so immense that in their perspective it would have been infinite. But no matter how much of Earthland they absorbed though, it still wouldn't have changed the fundamentals of how magic works in that world anyway though.

And by the way, I was just watching the anime and realized something that sort of got maybe overlooked: the fate of Franmalth lol. So I re-read the tartarus arc to make sure he didn't get absorbed by Kyouka, and his last known panel was his "damn this ain't good" reaction to face getting destroyed and then nothing so he has to be alive somewhere. He was a goofy character who I actually loved, and he is a member of the 9 demon gates so him just being alive somewhere is somewhat of a big oversight if we never hear from him again. Usually when villains return in this manga, they get the bluenote treatment, but I wouldn't mind him showing up in Alvarez since Zeref does have quirky little demons running around.

It's true that Edolas needs infinite magic in their world and that FH has infinite magic, but there is a difference.

What Edolas needs is infinite magic, ethernano particles in the air. FH is a source of highly concentrated magic, pretty much a destructive type of magic. From my understanding of it, if it was used on Edolas, the effect would be the same, the world would be destroyed due to high concentration of destructive magic.

Anyways, about Franmalth, you are correct. Franmalth is active meaning that he should still be around somewhere. If you look on Fairy Tail Wikia, it will show you which Tartaros members are active, unknown status, or deceased...

Yeah, there are a lot of old villains that are "active" because FT doesn't kill dark mages. The only ones who died were Grimoire Heart mages due to self-sacrifice techniques and Zeref but they usually just seem irrelevant afterwards. The demons are different, especially the 9 gates, so for one to just be randomly alive seems important even if he fate is just be one-shotted later.

Well magi is also on it´s final arc soon, so once huge chunks of mangahelpers manga sections end, we gotta find some substitutes soon:gwah
Would you want to go to the Boku no Hero section once these series end?

Well even though we're entering final stages in magi and likely FT, it'd probably still be on for at least 2 years. Bleach's current arc is apparently also it's last but it's been going for about 2 years now and still has a couple months in. At least OP still has a lot of years in it.
