This I can definitely agree with to an extent. My complaint was more so about the fight making sense logically than it being well written or deserved, because there a lot of people who think it was PoF bullshit, and that's what I mainly took issue with.To me it feels like the hate Natsu gets doesn't only stem from Natsu's power but how much potential he squanders. He's beaten three whole potential filled Spriggan in terrible ways. Jacob, Neinheart, and Dimaria were either one shot or off paneled. Laxus has only beaten one Spriggan like most other people in this arc (albeit in a shitty way), but Natsu has got 3. Him being main character isn't a good reason why he gets to squander other side characters potential to fight certain Spriggans and I believe that's where the hate stems. This coupled with the fact that he also gets to fight Zeref and Acnologia and the main character wanking becomes incredibly annoying. Laxus gets sidelined so much by Hiro while Natsu gets to fight more villains than necessary.
True, I did forget about Erza vs Azuma. That would probably be up there with Erza vs Kyoka as well. But for the others, they may have been dumb but at least they made sense logically. Natsu used Wendy to boost his power to beat Faust (the whole thing was a little PoF of course but I don't think it's as bad). Universe One bringing back Gajeel made sense we didn't get to see what happened to him after he got sucked in the portal, so we have no reason to assume UO saving him was bullshit. Gray might have just assumed Juvia died. Wendy and Erza blitzing Irene was just her not living up to her hype. You also think Red lightning is the stupidest thing in this manga after "She's Erza" which come on, is a stretch. Natsu, Gajeel, and Wendy using their power from tommorow against Faust, Erza using the entire guild's power against Azuma, Universe one bringing back Gajeel, Juvia not being dead after Gray checked if she was alive and decided it was too late, and Wendy and Erza blitzing Irene were all equally as dumb as RL.

), eating God flames and one shotting him after getting fodderized from the beginning, Erza beating Kyouka without senses, using some FT shit to beat Azuma, then RL is as bad or slightly better and its the first BS for Laxus so...
Thx for being so calm bro. But yeah, if we're talking about logic based, Natsu vs Neinheart takes the cake over the unexplained red lightning... I was just explaining why peeps hate on Natsu fights more. This I can definitely agree with to an extent. My complaint was more so about the fight making sense logically than it being well written or deserved, because there a lot of people who think it was PoF bullshit, and that's what I mainly took issue with.
This is what I'm talking about. The "no one except END could beat Dimaria" statement proves my point how the main character wanking becomes apparent. This isn't entirely Natsu's fault cuz it was Hiro who created a character that couldn't lose to anything except deus ex machina or random power up from main but it's still main character wanking. We also don't know if beating Neinheart is really extremely easy for anyone. It could be Hiro just wanting to make Natsu super duper strong as usual. If someone not as stupidly OP as Natsu fought Neinheart then anything could have happened. However enhanced Neinheart's potential was ruined. Off paneled fights are almost never a good thing and Dimaria was just used as END's hype tool. These events paint Natsu as an unstoppable one dimensional main character that will either one shot his opponents or off panel them. There is something I would like to you consider though regarding Natsu getting too many fights this arc. I'll assume that the Jacob fight was Natsu's deserved fight and that Dimaria and Neinhart were the excessive ones. In regards to Dimaria, who else could have beaten her? Wendy and Chelia only managed to pull it off the first time because of Ultear, but if you wanted Natsu to stay out of it the second time who would have gotten that fight? Everyone else (probably) would have been affected by Age Seal, meaning that even if Natsu left her for others to fight, it's doubtful anyone else would get a legit fight against her at all. As for Neinhart, the dude has the durability of a toothpick. Would it really be all that great or impressive if someone else took him out other than Natsu?
My point here is that Natsu didn't really take any good fights away from anyone else, because no one else could fight against Age Seal and beating Neinhart is extremely easy.
Wendy and Natsu shouldn't have had any power left (they even said so), but because they used their power from tommorow they came out on top. How does that come close to being logical? Gajeel died a good while before Universe one was activated. He shouldn't have been brought back when he wasn't supposed to be apart of the living anymore. Acnologia himself acknowledged that Gajeel had left the living world yet somehow he was brought back? Gray not checking a pulse or checking if she was breathing sounds so unlike Gray that it can't not be called bs. Wendy and Erza while being heavily battle damaged and worn out aren't supposed to be able to blitz someone who was able to skip out of Acnologia's instant eruption like it was nothing. On top of that despite creating a meteor that pushed Acno back, Irene got out enchanted by an inexperienced 12 year old.True, I did forget about Erza vs Azuma. That would probably be up there with Erza vs Kyoka as well. But for the others, they may have been dumb but at least they made sense logically. Funny you mention physically and logically possible in a manga like FT. I mean dude, think about it. Natsu has dodged lightning before. Bluenote created a black hole that only absorbed a few pebbles. Zancrow was defeated by his own fire combined with a fire that already had no affect on him. Natsu used his fire as a grappling hook vs Erigor. While on fire Lucy defeated Kain and suffered no burn marks afterwards. An explosion large enough to destroy a town only gave Happy a haircut. Despite Natsu's flames melting all the rocks and everyone's clothes back when he returned and challenged people at the GMG, no one except the people he attacked was physically burned at all. Laxus's Lightning changing properties, while being bullshit, is not the first time in this manga where certain things that happen are logically and physically impossible.) All these things were incredibly stupid of course, but I'd much rather have stupidity or bad writing over something that logically and physically should not have been possible. And to me, somehow bypassing a freaking immunity with "lightning that surpasses lightning" is the epitome of physically and logically impossible.

That's your opinion that I respectfully disagree with.Natsu vs Neinhart is nothing compared to the scurb yard Laxus vs Wall and Gray vs Invel or Gray vs END, ( Standing to uncompleted END is too much for Gray, He should get Serena treatment but because he is from Ft and from team Natsu he didn't get that )
No, the tattoo on Natsu's arm that he used vs Zeref was the fruit of Natsu's training. That was stated from Natsu himself. We have no backstory on when Natsu used first used FDKM and how he attained it.BDKM is the fruit of Natsu's training after 10 months. Igneel is the fire king drake it make sense why Natsu can use fire dragon king arsenals. Not rocket science.
Umm, no. Natsu and Gray are rivals. Them sharing each other's magic wouldn't work because they work to be better than the other. You can't compare that to the relationship of Freed and Laxus. Freed is Laxus's body guard, not his rival. Freed sharing his magic with Laxus, the guy he wants to protect makes sense unlike two rivals giving each other more power. You're gasping at straws here.By using your logic Natsu and Gray should use each other magic because you know they're friends since their childhood.
The defending mechanisms is sure funny . Aside from the wrong reasoning you used for the previous example Natsu and Lucy should learn each other because you know they have the best relation by using your ZOmg logic.

Yea, I totally understand. I tend hate things that logically don't make sense more than things that are poorly written or unnecessary, but that's just my personal preference.Thx for being so calm bro. Yea I definitely see your point. As unfortunate as it may be, Natsu wank this arc was going to be inevitable from the moment he was revealed to be END. Personally I think that while Natsu wank isn't a great thing, Hiro's choices of Spriggans to hype him with were probably the best. Had it been something along the lines of Natsu just flat out oneshotting Ajeel or Wahl in an actual fight or something like that, then I would consider it completely ridiculous. But at least the fights Hiro gave him weren't too absurd. I don't hate Natsu's character, but his fights this arc have been atrocious to say the least and I can see why many people hate them more than Laxus vs Wahl.
To be completely honest, I tend to just forget about the Edolas arc entirely when I think about the series. Nothing really happened and it was probably as close to a filler arc as a canon arc could get. So I guess I just tend not to take anything that happened during that arc too seriouslyWendy and Natsu shouldn't have had any power left (they even said so), but because they used their power from tommorow they came out on top. How does that come close to being logical?
In such an important arc like this, however, events hold much more weight and as a result I consider them to be much more important.Well the way I interpreted it was that Bradman was using some kind of last ditch spell to kill Gajeel. By the time UO activated Gajeel was physically "gone", but the spell hadn't completely finished and hence the shifting of the geography disrupted it and brought Gajeel back. Not exactly a perfect explanation, I know, but I don't think it's completely gone beyond the realm of possibility.Gajeel died a good while before Universe one was activated. He shouldn't have been brought back when he wasn't supposed to be apart of the living anymore. Acnologia himself acknowledged that Gajeel had left the living world yet somehow he was brought back?
Either Gray was too distraught or distracted to think straight, or Juvia really had stopped breathing and Wendy got there just in time to revive her.Gray not checking a pulse or checking if she was breathing sounds so unlike Gray that it can't not be called bs.
Well to be honest, I'm think I'm going to reserve judgement on this until Irene is defeated. I mean, for all we know Irene was just messing around and she might kick ass during the next few chapters.Wendy and Erza while being heavily battle damaged and worn out aren't supposed to be able to blitz someone who was able to skip out of Acnologia's instant eruption like it was nothing. On top of that despite creating a meteor that pushed Acno back, Irene got out enchanted by an inexperienced 12 year old.
When I say logically and physically possible, I'm talking about possible in the context of the FT universe, not in the context of real life. Characters in this universe are indeed fast enough to dodge lightning. Bluenote's spell was called Black Hole but obviously it wasn't identical to an actual black hole you'd find in space. It's been established that the combination or fusion of different magics can result in power immensely stronger than the magics separately. Fire Magic taking a physical tangible form is also something that was established to be possible. Natsu set Mr. Cursey on fire and since Mr. Cursey is magic and wasn't affected by the fire, neither was Lucy. Happy throughout the series has proven to have god-tier durability XD. The clothes melted but the people weren't harmed because people in FT have endurance and durability far higher than we do, otherwise you might as well ask why Laxus can't just go around killing anyone he wants by electrocuting them.Funny you mention physically and logically possible in a manga like FT. I mean dude, think about it. Natsu has dodged lightning before. Bluenote created a black hole that only absorbed a few pebbles.
