Conditional Gray vs Erza

I'm going to say Erza takes this one out. I still don't think Gray has surpassed her which might be an unpopular opinion but it is my viewpoint on it. She's got a lot of versatility with her armour and even though Gray has his demon slayer magic, Erza can probably pull an armour out to resist the ice like she does for Natsu's fire. Either way it's a high diff win for either side imo.

Gray wins this one imo. Gray is at least on par with DF Gajeel, if not, more. And DF Gajeel already has Erza outclassed by a large margin.

Contrary to popular opinion, I rank Gray among the top fighters for Ishgar (meaning on the level of Laxus and Natsu).

Gray demolished a Spriggan in base, and has yet to show his true power. Hell, he hasn't even shown us his trump card that has been hyped since the beginning of the war.

Regardless, Erza hasn't shown the same feats as Gray. Even if we say she won against Ajeel, it wasn't by much. Certainly not the same as utterly destroying Spriggan in base form.

So I'm voting Gray here. I'll put it at maybe mid-high diff max.


However, knowing the way this manga is written, Erza will probably beat Irene or something, which would mess up the powerranking quite a bit, but it's not like that hasn't happened before.

Well, Erza did have her fight of the arc... That was against Ajeel, but we're simply giving her another chance to redeem herself with Irene.

I'll agree to take Erza vs. Irene into account when it happens. But if we give Erza another chance, then we'll also have to wait for Gray to go full power and use his trump card.

We can judge after that. Then we'll know for sure who would win in this fight.

Kind of like we knew invel would be gray opponent
We knew erza opponent will be Irene.
That's how this manga works

I think gray will get another fight. Probably against full end.
But erza will get her too

Gray wins this. If he can replicate the same vigor against END/Invel, then I don't see Erza beating Gray. Because of that, I can't say it's high diff. So I call it mid-high diff.

With DeS mode and Gray at maximum power, he surpasses DF Gajeel, Jellal, and Laxus. There is no way Erza is winning this. DeS Gray is at least on par with FDKM Natsu (although I think he is a lot higher). And FDKM Natsu would defeat Erza quite easily given their feats, hype, and portrayal.

Of course, we know what will happen to Erza's fight with Eileen but I'll call out the inconsistency when it happens (if it happens).

Imo Natsu has surpassed Erza by a fair margin, and Gray has beenpictured as equal to Natsu.
For some reason if i imagine Erza vs Natsu, i'd say "there's no way Erza wins", but in a Erza vs Gray fight i'd say "mmh tough call".
Idk why that is. But if i'm being fair, i'll say Gray takes this mid diff with his current feats.
I'm interested in that new armor she's using against Irene. Maybe next chapter will add some pretty good feats and i might change my mind. For now though, Gray wins.

I would say Gray wins but it would be high to extreme difficulty for him. I doubt he'd stomp Erza and I'm fairly certain she'd wound him quite a bit before she fell in battle.

Base on feats, Gray takes this med-high difficulty.

I rate Ajeel and Invel as roughly equals amongst the Spriggan, solid mid-tier. Erza was dominated and largely outclassed in combat against Ajeel, and it wasn't due to a combination of distraction from Natsu and intervention from Jupiter Cannon, did Erza managed to capitalize on and pull off a victory.

Invel, on the other hand, was delivered a brutal beatdown by Gray who wrestled control of the ice from seemingly his strongest spell and proceeded to reduce Invel's face to a bloody and swollen mess.

Dimaria looks utterly decimated by partial END, who was clashing evenly with Gray in their fight too. The power levels established so far has Gray having the advantage over Erza.

Imo Gray wins high diff. I think right now he become a lot stronger than erza but it is erza and she is very durable. Furthermore even if I think Gray=Natsu, Gray doesn't have as much as firepower as Natsu, soit it'll be hard for him to take down erza -> high diff
