I will laugh so hard if mika was with an another man before silver and she made a kid called invel xD

It's possible but to me, not all that probable. I don't think Hiro, as @ahmadrizqik stated, likes to be that predictable. Invel is almost 80% likely to not be related to the Fullbusters in any way.

Well it would be possible if Invel and Lyon are related they have the same hair and the same eyes.. I'm not quite sure if there is a need for a lyon invel side stort cause it will be out of the plot.. i think..

And they both stick on the rules and what's necessary.

Nice thread. I love funny characters like God Serena, but I am happy that Invel appears to be more serious, fitting the title of Chief of Staff.

His clothes are very interesting, imo they could indicate that he is some sort of slayer, since they look like a tatoo.

Invel is older than he appears. He just froze his age at 20.

Have any of you ever read any Malazan? Invel's power may be similar to those offered by the Jaghut warren Omtose Phellack. Or at least it would be cool as hell.

There's a chance that Invel might be or might be related to Gray's childhood friend Pause in the Ice Trail. Both have white hair, similar facial expressions, and glasses. It may be possible that in the past, Zeref took Invel in and brought him in to be mentored and hone his skills, he might've realized that there is some potential in him, and that he might be pretty booksmart to be considered a potential chief of staff in the army. Perhaps Pause didn't like the fact that his original magic had no potential to get stronger than what he would've liked in his travels, and prob honored his best friend Gray into learning it through some ice sage.

I doubt Hiro will introduce characters from a side story which he himself has not written.It will create lot of problems as Ice Trail was not animated when Alvarez arc will be animated.This is like Mary being Dimaria from Ice Trail.

I want to share my opinion about Invel.
Seeing invel's magic somehow remind me with silver's magic. Especially the part when invel complete freeze mavis. Silver did that too to natsu.
So what if... Invel was silver's student?
Maybe silver was wandering around to find some demon to kill and he found a poor and weak little boy and decided to teach him magic but unfortunately silver had to leave him because the tartaros people wont like what he did ?

It would answer a lot and the parallels give me the right feels. I like my theory but I like this one a lot also

Weird thought but your comment about creating armies, made me think of Yamamoto's Bankai "Zanka no tachi" from Bleach where he can revive every enemy he's ever slain for himself to command. Funny that they wield opposite elements but yeah xD

Glad to know my idea is more or less same as one of the best authors in Japan I don't follow Bleach actually. I was just connecting something to his epithet "Winter General" so I think he should be like a calculating, expressionless, strict person. Someone who has a troop.

Have you watched or read Akame Ga Kill? The strongest Teigu user in that series is an Ice Wielding one, and in the most recent chapters she made an entire army of Ice People to fight the enemies, Invel using it would be OP

You meant Esdeath? I sorta followed Akame ga Kill (anime only) but I forgot she had such ability. Yeah Invel being capable of creating ice soldiers would be badass.

This is like Aokiji changing one half of Punk Hazard into a permanent ice coated area...Invel did pretty much the same although his is a more impressive feat since he changed the temperature of a continent that was reduced in size...
Winter General should generally encompass a wider area than just basic Ice or Snow like most wizards of this calibre we've seen in the series, so I think he should be capable of feats like giving people frostbites and even creating blizzards even larger than Lyon

Actually I don't really follow One Piece but I know Aokiji's power is ice-related. Someone on tumblr guessed that Invel can cast Iced Shell without sacrificing his life. I think that's cool.

Following up on my theory about Invel being able to freeze concepts, imagine if he could freeze feelings. That could actually turn out to be a catalyst for Natsu to turn into END! Perhaps that's what Hiro means by "Determining the outcome of the war. He could be the one to actually wake the demon

Yeap Esdeath, the ability of making Ice Soldiers is only shown in the manga so it wasn't in the anime...

Holy shit that would be badass as fuck, I always though Iced Shell was the pinnacle of Ice Magic so having someone who can cast it without having to sacrifice their life would be showing another level of Ice Make magic in a brilliant manner!

@Emperor Spriggan I dont think Invel will use Ice Make.magic of any kind. He's more in the higher level of manipulation as opposed to Gray's physical ice manipulation

I just re-read the wiki and the spell that I thought was an ice magic is actually ice-make magic too. . sorry about that
Yes, he is Ice-Make wizard but he was shown using snow magic. in GMG he used blizzard to fight milliana.

I see. I stopped reading fairy tail since early tenrou arc and continue again years later but start from the Tartaros arc. I know GMG the most from the anime so I dont know about that anyway I am glad they make longer version for their fight (lamia vs mermaid)

I am sorry, forget the thing I said about lyon having snow and ice magic, but back to theory about most white haired siblings have similar magic

Aside from that, I also agree and hope if he doesnt have connection because... Yeah, We know many spriggans already did.
