Still, fact is that OP hasn’t been animated in a satisfying way since Enies Lobby, and that’s a tragedy. The dudes out here who can't follow looney toons animation

No it's an opinion lolStill, fact is that OP hasn’t been animated in a satisfying way since Enies Lobby, and that’s a tragedy.
I don't remember the animation quality changing much after Enies Lobby.Still, fact is that OP hasn’t been animated in a satisfying way since Enies Lobby, and that’s a tragedy.

You're just lacking in imagination. I mean, think about it: Bugs Bunny with auras!Lol. Looney tunes from the 1950s look better than modern one piece.
Oh come on, that's harsh. If you didn't like it in the manga then of course you weren't going to like it animated, but that Pain scene is on an entirely different continent of garbage stylization.Ah, well, I didn't comment on this specifically but I absolutely hate the direction the anime went with. I was not even a fan of G5 in the manga and it still feels like they butchered this. On top of the usual nonsense (like the absolute impossibility of telling where characters are during fights) they add that blurry effect... The whole thing is pretty much this:

It would've been cool if when the boro breath hit the rock wall, the action slowed down just enough to have a sound effect and/or visual showing the rubberized rock wall rubberizing the boro breath itself. Would've cleared up the scene's confusing freneticness and foreshadowed what Luffy is about to do with lightning. It really would have done a lot if they had shown it from a side perspective as you say. The other thing was the stretched out rock still had the same color as bolo breath making it look like the attack blasted through vs had they kept it same color as the rock it would have been clearer that it was stretching back.
I will say though, despite whatever gripes we may have with their decisions, the overall quality of some of those scenes was rock solid. If you watch it in slow motion like this
it's clear that they put some decent thought and effort into it.
I've always assumed Post-TS so far has probably been closer to about six months if we assume travel times, intermediary arcs, and not-shown stops/adventures/etc. but yeah the actual time length of each arc is always hyper-compressed.Is this timeline correct?!

Literally nobody has a problem with the Tom & Jerry smashing scene. It was excellently done.Dudes out here be like "I can't follow the animation"
The animation*

Nah I'm done after this one
I hope the following episodes clean up the animation for those of us who didn't enjoy the pacing or visuals of 1071. Everyone deserves to feel like G5 has been done justice and it hasn't been so for for alot of people
Yeah it was a joke lolLiterally nobody has a problem with the Tom & Jerry smashing scene. It was excellently done.
Everyone who has a problem with it agrees that the boro blast reflection scene was the low point.
That 30 seconds of the episode was really good, I agree.Literally nobody has a problem with the Tom & Jerry smashing scene. It was excellently done.
Oh come on, that's harsh. If you didn't like it in the manga then of course you weren't going to like it animated, but that Pain scene is on an entirely different continent of garbage stylization.
Compared to Obito vs. Kakashi for example... it might be slightly better, but "equal" seems to be fairer words.
Stop the video at 1:06... how much better is that than naruto?
Most out of context still frames in animation are going to look wonky, especially if they are in mid motion.

The Tom & Jerry scene? That particular exchange was done perfectly. G5 is cartoony and zany, it's true to the spirit of the source material, both Oda and Tex Avery/Hanna/Barbera. Pain and Naruto and that entire series have nothing cartoony whatsoever, which is what made those frames completely jarring.

Was that one from the Chuck Jones era or H/B?You don't have to care for the style, but to call it bad is a bit much. Like, to keep the Tom and Jerry comparison going, I don't care for the Chuck Jones era of Tom and Jerry. It's not bad animation by any means, I just don't care for the style.

I would definitely describe it as "the MOST animations" a lot sooner than I would describe it as "the BEST animations".I personally think Wano has had the best animations we've seen in One Piece, now mind you it's not been the most consistent there's been many episodes I've felt were severely lacking, however it doesn't take away from the fact that the arc has had far better animation OVERALL than any other arc.
I truly don't think we've had arcs with better animations that this overall, at least I can't think of any.I would definitely describe it as "the MOST animations" a lot sooner than I would describe it as "the BEST animations".
The gif? Hannah Barbera. Was that one from the Chuck Jones era or H/B?
