Eh to be honest, it's quite simple to explain why Brandish is definitely more powerful than Ajeel. For one, Brandish literally just shrunk a house with a snap of her finger.

Two, Ajeel's entire sandstorm around Magnolia couldn't even defeat an Erza. Brandish can shrink the town to the size of a pebble with a flick of her wrist if she really wanted to given that she didn't have hay fever.

I don't see how Ajeel = Brandish let alone Ajeel being stronger.
Well, this is simple to explain. The sandstorm Ajeel used in Magnolia isn't a physically damaging attack, he just uses it to lower his opponent's visability and basically use it to sneak attack his opponent from anywhere in the full 360 degrees around his opponent. Just because it doesn't do damage doesn't make it any less of a feat than shrinking a house. Sure, Brandish made an island grow, but that was just her fully flexing her magic power. Ajeel didn't even strain himself to use Sand World. Ajeel and Brandish might be equals at this point, but seeing as we haven't seen Brandish actually fight but we've seen Ajeel take down Erza, one of Fairy Tail's strongest, he's stronger unless Brandish pulls off something really good if/when she fights.
That said, Ajeel would've killed Erza if he didn't get caught up in his God Syndrome. He basically showed he was stronger than Erza, so I wouldn't put it past him to be equal to or stronger than Brandish.

Brandish actually never broke a sweat since we've seen her. She shrunk and grew the island like she could walk. Ajeel has been struggling since the beginning and his defeat just proved his lack of combat, hence why I ranked him low tier Spriggan.

Strength has nothing to do with ranking. Half of the enemies that Gray or Mavis fought were twice their size and had nuke attacks. But Gray using logic and Mavis being an expert tactician caused them to win their war/battles.

Ajeel's God syndrome was his fault which is the exact reason why he is ranked way lower. Brandish isn't as stupid and has restrained her powers to the max at this point. She hasn't even showed 10% of her power, which is why she chose to shrink Lucy's neighbor house instead of Magnolia.

Ranking is simple. If you screw up, it's too bad. I will rank you where you fell. Ajeel as far as I'm concerned had a pretty fair fight. He had more than enough time to take out Erza, and remember in Alvarez he told Zeref that he could beat Ishgar by himself because "God Serena is the nation's strongest".

Twice, Ajeel has used one of his strongest nukes in combat. One against Makarov in Alvarez which Laxus quickly dispelled and the other against Erza with his sandstorm. He shoulda snapped Erza's neck when he had the chance, but he fell short, so I've seen nothing but weakness.

I really don't know how you can explain that Brandish shrinking an island casually is any more impressive than what Ajeel did. He summoned a tidal wave of sand effortlessly too.

Size of move is not everything. In this series there are moves that are huge - like Jackal's explosions. But a slash from Erza is likely the more powerful attack, and it is considerably smaller in size. Gildarts Empyrean is also a huge powerful move but you have to be punched in the face to receive it. If it comes down to size of magic Warrod used a tree that went 2000km and did that with ease, so he should be above just about everyone if size of move is so important. Not saying it has no meaning, but really it only matters to me when you are comparing the same move.

I'm not downplaying Brandish' magic either I think she is a powerhouse and will be awesome when she gets angry. She has the title of nation demolisher too which is exciting.

Yeah, sure, they both created powerful magics effortlessly? But who can't do that? Even Makarov can use Fairy Law and he is old and frail. The point is:

Did both Brandish and Ajeel create powerful attacks effortlessly? Yes

But Erza (with the help of Jupiter) and Laxus alone has shown to stop Ajeel's magic. Brandish in the other hand has had not one person that can cancel out her size manipulation. It isn't a coincidence that Ajeel is the first Spriggan to fall.

When Brandish finally fights someone we will get to see how strong she is and how effective her magic actually is. Not having faced anyone doesn't give any indication that she is stronger than Ajeel. All she did was perform large sized feat.

Sure, if you want to use manga logic that Ajeel is first so he is weak then that is fine. That logic would lead you to believe that Ajeel is weak among the Spriggan. It doesn't however tell you anything about Brandish. Brandish could be one of the weak ones. Or one of the strong ones. At this stage I think she is of the same level as Ajeel.

The way I see it, Brandish has already proved herself. On Caracol Island, she pretty much got her first minor victory when she sent everybody scrambling in the waters. And noted by Gray, she had a significant power. Gray didn't react to Ajeel the same way as he did to Brandish. In fact, Gray's Ice Make Silver matched against Ajeel's sand wave just fine.

Brandish's second technical victory was in the bathtub with Lucy. She practically had Lucy's life in her hands and forced Lucy to comply with her orders. In any case, these aren't just feats, they're won battles. Brandish has shown time and time again that she can manipulate the mass of an object with no effort.

These aren't speculations, the way that the FT members react around Brandish and their reactions is more than enough proof to show that Brandish can best Ajeel in a 1v1 easily. Ajeel on the other hand has shown all of his feats and tricks, and he ultimately failed. What Ajeel has done at his full extent of his power is what Brandish has shown to do with only 10 percent.

Brandish was already unimpressed the second she saw Ajeel use his sandstorm spell. Ajeel has done nothing impressive the moment we saw him.

We haven't seen Brandish fight yet but the initial reaction of the Ft mages when she showed up and her deadly magic lead me to believe she's indeed stronger than Ajeel or well, more of a threat than he is. We can't really rank the spriggans since we don't know much of them but for the ones we've seen thus far, I'd say:
*August- since Makarov said he's on a different level. Only the unknown spriggans might be superior.
*Brandish- she has a very deadly magic and I think it'd give her the edge.
*Ajeel
*Wahl- has an interesting magic and may well be a difficult opponent but I'm going solely on what we've seen thus far

The group's reaction to Ajeel was exactly the same as how Natsu and Gray reacted to Brandish, Gray even stated that Ajeel and Brandish were around the same level. That goes to show that they're at least equals.

The spriggans are generally 'equals' in the sense that they're high-tier opponents but even between them, there would a differences in strength. Not that Ajeel is weak or anything, I just believe he's beneath Brandish. Of course it goes without saying but we're yet to see brandish in proper battle so it's still speculation.

Makarov said that Ajeel was the same level as the woman on that island (Brandish). Using magic on the island to shrink it is great, but Brandish did not engage team Natsu. So there is no victory. They were not even in Alvarez and have never encountered a Spriggan, so the reactions between Brandish and the next Spriggan they meet are going to be different; can't have Gray spinning out every time (though he might if he encounters August).

Silver worked against that sand monster. At that point Ajeel was not using desiccation sand. The sand wave (sands of death) used the desiccation sand. Gray's non-DeS ice was completely useless against the desiccation sand. So I can't see Silver working on sands of death because of the water component. Natsu's roar has a much better chance.

Brandish's second technical victory was in the bathtub with Lucy. She practically had Lucy's life in her hands and forced Lucy to comply with her orders. In any case, these aren't just feats, they're won battles. Brandish has shown time and time again that she can manipulate the mass of an object with no effort.
Lucy knows the difference between the two of them and has Marin there as well preventing her using Celestial magic. Lucy has no choice but to comply. This is certainly not a feat of power, so many people weaker than Brandish could have forced Lucy to comply under the same circumstances.

But when Lucy got her powers back she donned Aries stardress and was ready to fight Brandish. Should this de-hype Brandish because Lucy was willing to fight her? And then Cana shows up and doesn't look intimidated at all. Should this also de-hype Brandish?

She can manipulate mass of an object with no effort - that's her magic. I'm not downplaying how effective it could be, but it doesn't put her above Ajeel just because it is cooler.

I explained the reactions above. Where did you get that figure of 10%?

Brandish personality is why she reacts as she does. It's got nothing to do with power indication. Most things like that will be a bother to her.

I struggle to see any reason why Brandish is above Ajeel as of now. She needs to show more.

.Brandish/Ajeel/Roboman

I could easily say Roboman is stronger than Brandish & Ajeel based on hype.

First, he's a machine - only interested in statistical data - so he's likely the least braggadocious of the three; & since he belittled Ajeel somewhat in such a way implying that he's superior, he's might be superior to Brandish as well. Remember, the same group of people that hyped Brandish to be above Gramps reacted the exact same way to Ajeel - who was compared to Brandish in power.

So to conclude this speculation, The least flashiest in the group - Roboman - turned out to be the most effective, while the most flashy ones - Brandish, Ajeel - turned out to be the least effective.

Serious though, Brandish opponent was a huge rock, stones, wood & basic architecture. Calm the hype - let her fight first.

Well, the situations are a bit different. Even if the reactions are the same (which is definitely not the way I see it, but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt), I can still see one major difference. Caracol island is the island in the border of Ishgar and Alvarez. So they technically aren't in enemy territory. Plus, Mest still had full strength to teleport the group back if they were in deep shit. Also, it was FT who caught Brandish by surprise not the other way around, FT was going undercover.

When they saw Ajeel, they were definitely in Alvarez territory. Not only that, but Mest just said that he was out of energy to teleport and on top of that, Ajeel caught them by surprise. That's why the reactions were so different.

Either way, Gray did say "probably around the same level". But "probably" was before Gray actually saw Ajeel's true strength. Neither Brandish nor Ajeel powered up in the beginning, so it seems justifiable to say they are equal, but once both get serious, it's obvious to tell who is stronger. So "probably" is key.

Again, Gray's ice maker silver went head to head with Ajeel's sand just fine. Gray could barely even attack Brandish. Brandish even look unimpressed and disappointed by the fact that Ajeel had to use that sandstorm spell so early on against only Erza and Jupiter

Personally I think that safe for a couple of them they are all at roughly the same level. At least the way the manga has referred to them so far seems to suggest that. So what you have is 11 of the 12 being mostly comparable and august as the one who stands out. August even looks as a past rave master character IIRC so he might end up being quite special.

Makarov doesn't know anything. He is purely guessing. He didn't even know how strong Gray and Lucy have grown until they both powered up. Makarov is way out of his league at this point, after the timeskip, the age has really start to wear him down.

If it had been Ajeel in that tub, even without Celestial Spirit Magic, Lucy could have ran out of the house and escape. It is the nature of Brandish 's magic that made it that she couldn't. I don't care about coolness, you cant just ride off the fact that Brandish's magic is stronger than Ajeel's. The magnitude of the magic also accounts for the ranking which is why it is obvious.

A noob could use Brandish's magic and compete on the likes of Erza or Gajeel.

We both know that Lucy had no choice but to fight, cuz she couldn't run away. If it weren't for Ajeel's sand, both Lucy and Cana would have been screwed

The 10% was an estimated data. It's obvious who has taken more stress at this point. Ajeel has shown to be huffing and puffing up till now while Brandish looks like she is watching TV.

Of course all of them need to show more, but based on what we've seen, it is enough to justify our ranking.

Sorry I wrote Makarov instead of Gray, so I'll re-state what I meant to say.

Gray said that Ajeel was the same level as the woman on Caracol (Brandish) - this is crunchyroll translation.

That is the most accurate piece of info we have on Brandish as far as I am concerned, because Brandish has done very little so far. At least on pure magic presence Gray has given us the most reliable bit of info by saying they are on the same level. Whether that is slightly under/equal/slightly above is impossible to tell.

If it had been Ajeel in that tub, even without Celestial Spirit Magic, Lucy could have ran out of the house and escape. It is the nature of Brandish 's magic that made it that she couldn't. Brandish threatened Lucy to shrink the town, Ajeel would have threatened to do something with sand, August would have threatened something else etc etc. Maybe Lucy would have tried to run against August/Ajeel who knows. These are hardly reasons to say Brandish > Ajeel.

A noob could use Brandish's magic and compete on the likes of Erza or Gajeel.
How can you know that when Brandish has Spriggan level MP (if there is such a thing). A noob might be able to shrink a house and then drop to the floor after due to fatigue. Or do you think the noob can easily shrink an island?

In this series Dragon Slayer magic is the best or one of the best magic there is (better than Brandish' magic). Mastering this magic, and becoming more powerful (MP wise) is what will eventually allow a DS to slay dragons. But as we seen in the Grand Magic Games 'noob' slayers couldn't do much if anything to dragons. To me this illustrates the difference between a 'noob' magic user and a master (a master DS would slay or at the very least do considerable damage to a dragon).

We both know that Lucy had no choice but to fight, cuz she couldn't run away. If it weren't for Ajeel's sand, both Lucy and Cana would have been screwed
I do think Brandish would've wiped the floor with Lucy and Cana. But Cana wasn't intimidated at all by Brandish' magical presence - so should I use that to downplay Brandish? No. When you have Cana's reaction, and Gray's reaction - and the difference between those, it demonstrates how character reactions are not good indicators for power. These reactions are more for plot so that Mashima can make us informed/fear the opponent.

The 10% was an estimated data. It's obvious who has taken more stress at this point. Ajeel has shown to be huffing and puffing up till now while Brandish looks like she is watching TV.
Brandish has not even battled, or had to do anything. 10% though... is Brandish 10x stronger than Ajeel?

Of course all of them need to show more, but based on what we've seen, it is enough to justify our ranking.
It's fine to have Brandish > Ajeel as speculation, but we haven't seen Brandish outdo Ajeel yet. It's not her fault, Mashima is yet to use her. I personally like Brandish a lot but I don't hype her unnecessarily when she hasn't done much. She gets as much hype as DiMaria and Invel right now tbh.

Ever since Wahl had the whole event where he almost wiped out Fairy Tail from 400km away I definitely now give him much more credit because his magic has endless amounts of potential and his power definitely is evident.

Wahl seems pretty strong. On performance he could already be above Ajeel. But I still want to see some more from him (and the other Spriggans) before I can put them above/below one another (except for August).

He could beat Laxus too even though it won't be because Wahl is so strong, he can just exploit Laxus lightning.

Pretty much the only thing set in stone is that August is above the rest. Personally, I don't see Brandish being that much stronger than the rest. I don't see Dimaria, Invel, or Wahl being portrayed as weaker than her. The jury is still out on whether or not Ajeel is below the rest or not. To be honest, I'm not quite sure on that one. If I'm being fair, none of his feats are worse than Brandish's. I do remember Gray giving a statement that his power was comparable to Brandish's.

Wahl has a pretty sweet design, and shooting over 400km is pretty impressive for range. Though being intercepted by Christina kind of begs he question of whether or not it can overpower other attacks.

I think Gildarts clive is one of the 12 Spriggan. This may be possible that when Gildarts fought Acnologia, Zeref was the one who saved him. After that maybe they had a long chat about world, magic, war, dragons etc. Zeref convinced him that Acnologia is real deal here and they need to stop him and told him about the Lumen Histoire is the only chance they have against Acnologia. After they said goodbye, Gildarts made Lumen Histoire his life's mission to find.
But when Makarov asked him to become Fairy Tails next master and told him about Lumen Histoire and Mavis. He went to Alvarez Empire to see Zeref told him about Lumen Histoire and then after some time Zeref declared war on Fairy Tail to get Lumen Histoire and end Acnologia for good.
So i think may be he is one of the 12 Spriggan and this is the reason that he is always away from Fairy tail. So i think in his away time he go to Alvarez empire and known there under the name Nine Heart or Blood man or something else.............!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gildartz is strong enough to murder Makarov and take LH if he wanted to at the time when Makarov showed him LH. Gildartz has always fought for the good side and has his own morals. He seems more like a mentor for the younger generation of FT rather than an enemy of FT??
