I'd like to see that, Obra appearing. But I don't think he appears from Wahl's body. Maybe he is watching Laxus vs Wahl from far place all this time, imho.

So there are a view Spriggans which have shown their magic. I'd say:

High tier Spriggan:
Di Maria

Mid tier Spriggan:
God Serena
Wahl

Low tier Spriggan:
Ajeel
Brandish

I honestly don't see a reason to rank brandish as a low tier springan. Isn't her magic insanely dangerous? She can arbitrarily shrink people and things. Her power is insanely dangerous, even erza was worried about her.

When it comes to dangerous magic/abilities I think this can and will be said for all of the Spriggans. For now I don't see a reason to pin Brandish any lower than the ones that have fought. Where you expect them to fall on gut instinct is another thing.

I also have Ajeel, God Serena and Wahl at roughly the same level. Ajeel is often viewed the weakest, and sometimes significantly weaker, but imo his capabilities were still right up there. Serena/Wahl have the higher DC/offence so I do understand why they are viewed as above Ajeel.

Highly Unlikely.gildarts didn't know anything about FH until The Year X791.In fact He didn't know The Name FH He knew it by The Name LH.On The other Hand Spriggan's knew about FH from atleast in The Year X781

My Personal Theory of Neinhart is:-
i)He is Obra.
ii)He is Jellal's Father as his sitting position is similar to Seig in RM.

I came across a theory that Obra seems to be sitting on proxy Wahl's right shoulder in the silhouette picture of Spriggan 12.

^Yeah, that theory has been floating around for quite some time now. It was likely obra though the connection between (Proxy) Wahl and obra hasn't been elaborated on.

Has anyone else felt a little underwhelmed by the Spriggan 12 thus far? I mean, these guys were hyped up to be massive threats, and it would be a life of death struggle to take them and the Alvarez Empire down, and I don't feel like the arc has really delivered that thus far. Comparing the Spriggans to the Tartarus Demons, for me the Spriggans really have been a letdown. The Tartarus demons caused some serious mental and physical damage to mages, and nearly destroyed Fiore, and I just feel like the Spriggans have been disappointing so far, or rather the writing of some of the content has left me underwhelmed. These were opponents that were supposed to be a real Struggle, and now we've had 4 get taken out of the picture, a couple of them in just awful circumstances imo; Wahl losing to lightning which shouldn't of affected him, Ajeel's loss to Erza in general. Its just felt underwhelming, and to top it off, we've seen that Aquarius and Ultear, two characters that essentially made a sacrifice, have returned, and that takes away from what they did. Just thought I'd vent my frustration at the arc a bit here :P

Well, I don't think the spriggans are any less than the tartaros demons (comparing the two arcs). For instance, Erza was able to fight Kyouka alone but her she needed Bisca and Jupiter's help to actually take down Ajeel and he had the upper hand in the fight. Compared to how easily Laxus beat his tartaros opponent (Tempesta), we have wahl giving him serious trouble. God Serena took on the gods of Ishgar + Jura alone and bested them. Acnologia intervened and killed him but he impressed nonetheless. Brandish has maintained a more passive role. Seems like Mashima doesn't want her to fight properly. We've also not see the other 8. Imo, the spriggans are far more impressive than the tartaros demons. Only thing is that there isn't much tragedy but it's not surprising. The main tragedies of Tartaros were Igneel's death, Aquarius loss and Gray/Silver. Maybe Face as well but a bigger threat (Acnologia) is here and unlike Tartaros, the dragons are gone. In terms of battle performance, the spriggans have already outdone tartaros demons imo.

We had one year skip so FT members have improve since that time that Makarov why explain things about spriggans wasn't aware of his guild actual level and fairy tail isn't alone in this fight like they was most the time with Tartaros(only Sting and Rogue help them somehow).After time skip in my personal these mages can stand against spriggan ( i'm not saying they would win just give a proper fight ): Natsu,Gray,Gajeel,Laxus(beaten one with lighting that appeared out of nowhere ),Erza(beaten one with help),Jellal,Meldy( yeah i really meant that :P ) not to mention that spriggans are only 12 while from whole fiore we can make a 2 person strong teams :P well Northern front for example ( i assuming that OS have gone there )
so we will have :Sting,Rogue,Gajeel,Mira,Minerva,OS,Yukino against 3 spriggans but i don't think that all 3 of them are there would be there atm if so why only one guy fighting Sabertooth maybe other two are in motion like Jacob and August?

Hype is always big in FT. Personally there is no worse hype this arc than the GoI.

In terms of power/ability the Spriggan12 are definitely not underwhelming. Each one of them that has done anything has shown a level superior to the likes of pre-skip Hades/Gildarts/Makarov. They're down 4 troops.
- Brandish due to illness
- Ajeel due to CiS, Jupiter and most notably Erza (one of Isghal's best)
- God Serena due to Acnologia
- Wahl due to Laxus who is more powerful.

Where it is underwhelming to me is the sense of danger - which you alluded to in your Tartarus comparison (though I don't like that arc much). There's still much to go in this arc, so there could be some real losses that shake things.

Totally, their power is portrayed by repeated claims of how strong they are but lacking in in actual fights. If they had shown the fight b/w GOS and Serena in more details, their power levels would have felt more convincing.

I can agree with the idea of lack of danger per se. Truth is, Acnologia is just a much more threat and sense of danger than any other person. It's hard to bother too much about the spriggans when Acnologia is involved in the war and on the loose.

There is fear for Acnologia, that is for sure. "Acnologia might show up" is probably one of the more typed responses on the forum.

Yeah I actually think the spriggans so far have in terms of power lived up to the hype, Ajeel I felt was done well for the most part, Erza is one of there most versatile fighters and had he not been so arrogant as well as had the Jupiter cannon not been there Erza would have lost. Brandish has a power that might be hard to put into a traditional battle but we will see I guess plus she was captured really by a gag not by them defeating her and she will almost certainly play a role later. God Serena was done probably the worst not due to his power which was impressive but because the way he was taken down was so lazy, I hate one shots on powerful characters, I will say though it's not gauranteed that he's down forever especially cause we have not seen most of his lacramas and we don't know why he betrayed Ishgar. Wall was on par with the others as well but I still just think that Laxus should not have defeated him 1 vs 1 really because of the elemental disadvantage, The way he took him out was also not explained well in terms of the red lighting attack, however I will say that if we are going to see 2 or 3 spriggans soloed throughout the war I suppose Laxus is not the worst choice to do so. I also hate the use of the Gods of Ishgar, they were so hyped and yet feel much weaker than a lot of Fairy tails members but maybe like God Serena there role is not over yet so I'll hold out some hope there. As far as Aquarius and Ultear returning neither one of them was dead, Aquarius returned temporarily and for all we know Ultear will be the same so I think we need to wait a bit there, plus I have never felt that characters returning absolutely ruins those moments, it can take away from them a bit but to say it ruins them completely especially when these characters have clearly had consequences imposed on them is a bit extreme imo. Overall I am still looking forward to seeing how this arc plays out it has been good so far.
