Great chapter and I liked how Zebra's power was displayed. I think this chapter showed us why Toriko wanted Zebra to join him in his quest for the mellow cola. I wouldn't be surprised if Komatsu would be the first one to find the ingredient. Well, this arc won't take too long and I think this serves mainly for an introduction of Zebra and for some character development of Komatsu

Every arc that a heavily king is introduced we got ourself an incident with those annoying robots. Now, I really don't want to seem them again but I've got a strong feeling it's going to happen again.

The last page basically shows that Zebura's voice is at its limit. the previous page shows Zebura's intention of getting the cola, even if he has to die... coughing, and his voice is getting smaller as also indicated by the font size. And of course Komatsu's totally lost.

What an awesome surprise. Who would have thought that pyramid if just the tip of the iceberg, the tip of a huge palace. I think that Toriko and Komatsu can be glad that Zebra is among them. The place seems to have secrets because it is probably some undiscovered setting for Toriko and co. This arc isn't going to be as easy as I thought.

Whoaaa that was amazing Nice that the pyramid is literally the tip of the iceberg, or rather the tip of one of the many roofs And wow, it was kinda unexpected that Zebura was actually sending Komatsu words of encouragement all along the way! Of course, he did have the ulterior motive of wanting Komatsu as the reward...

It's kinda fitting that it's a pyramid (even if that's just the tip), since historically pyramids really are labyrinths to protect treasure + the pharaoh's body.

It's a nice surpise though. Helluva different from anything I expected, that's for sure!

Now, will the Fang-knife make it's debut as Komatsu's new weapon here...?

Well don't forget that mangastream counts their double pages as one page only. I don't know how many double pages this Toriko chapter had but it had one for sure when that huge palace was shown. The drawing of the palace must have been time consuming

Is there anybody who dares to guess which secrets might lie within the palace? This huge place is hidden under the sand and a lot of people must have overlooked what lied beneath.

Not to mention it's pretty difficult to even get to the place!

I don't think Mellow Cola is going to be the only thing they will find there, for sure. Knowing Shimabukuro it will probably have to do with the desert.

Might someone be living in the palace? Would be pretty interesting if they ran into him.

So by Zebra saying that komatsu is the reward to do you think he wants komatsu forming with him a combo???

and i think that the need danger that komatsu is going to face is going to be a good time to see maybe a new komatsu , a komatsu that wont need to be always beeing protected by Toriko. now that he has that crazy knife , and being him a very skilled guy with knifes i think he can
now be able to protect him. it is definitely a good time to see him improving , he need to become stronger also cuz if that doesnt happen it will be impossible to toriko to save him when they enter in the gourmet world. and until now we have got the idea that it will be possible that we will see a stronger komatsu maybe somaday we will be even stronger Setsuno at least i hope lol

Not much can be told from the images, but first image has Zebra saying something like "it's not like I actually went out of my way to save you" to Toriko and something about having a method with which he can produce energy, and that it's okay if Toriko gets angry at him. Then Toriko's like "you can't get your voice out anymore, can you?"

Last image has Toriko taking on the beasts because Zebra can't fight in his current state.

Quite a few mangaka do that, they will revise/finish them up when the volume is released, not for the individual chapters.

I didn't mind it, but those 2 were nearly unreadable

Just as I feared another damn robot seems to be on the lose.

Anyway, the chapter was pretty good I didn't think that Toriko would have a problem against the unicorn/wolf beast.

Is it a GT Robo, or an actual Birdman? I kind of hope the former. The latter is kind of on a different level in my mind right now and Zebura's already wearing himself out.

One thing I thought was weird is the talk about burning calories. I'm an Opera singer and don't think I am burning calories that rapidly when I'm doing shows that last several hours. It seemed like they were adding extra 0's at the end of everything for the sake of drama.

We got to see Zebura's intimidation monster this week. Super creepy thing, and there was a bit of a bat-thing going on with it so it ties in with his sound stuff.
