[TN: Eh, as per AstroNerdBoy's response over in the MangaHelpers thread for this chapter, I've decided to switch to spelling Racan's name as "Rakan", since that is the romanisation that's been used in canon, and it's not like I had any good reason for the romanisation I was using...]

1
[insert text: Fate turns serious, and attacks Negi's party...!!]
Setsuna: Oh, no...! // If those pillars fall to the ground here...!
Asuna: Leave it to me!!!
Setsuna: !
Asuna: I can handle these things!

2-3
Mahou Sensei Negima!
Period 226: Wish Upon A Pair Of Panties!♡
[insert text: A truly infinite ability...!!]
Asuna: Mukyoku-Ji-Taikyoku-Zan!!!
[TN: Eh, something along the lines of "Infinite Absolute Slash". "Mukyoku" means "limitless", and "Taikyoku" is Japanese for the concept of Taiji, a kind of absolute, ultimate state of balance... or something... ~_~ The "ji" kanji simply means "and", and "zan", of course, is "slash". Well, that's what I make of the name, anyway >_< There's probably more to it, I'm no expert in these concepts...]

4
Setsuna: I - Incredible... / Asuna-san...
Bystanders: [aside]what's going on~? // Are they shooting a movie?[/aside]
Someone: Wow, that really was amazing~!
Gate: Ngh... // Your attack just now... // That power didn't just come from your "doping"...

5
Fate: !

6
Negi: Gokuen Houzan Takutenshou!!
[TN: Aaagh, giant string of kanji. The "Gokuen" (The "goku" kanji means "prison", and is the "goku" of "jigoku", meaning "hell", though I don't know whether that's relevant, and the "en" means "flames") is referring back to the "Sim Fabricatus Ab Incendo" he performed last chapter, which used the same kanji. "Houzan" would translate to something like "crumbling mountain"; notably, Negi has used the same "hou" ("crumbling") kanji before in his "Houken" ("Crumbling Fist") attacks, where he used magical arrows to augment his physical blows. "Takutenshou" is, according to this blogger, a bona fide martial arts move, of the Hakkeshou style. (Yes, the same style that Fate has apparently been using.)]
Negi: Sinistra Emittam... // ...Sagitta Magica: Series Lucis! // (I can do this...!) // Ras Tel Ma Scir Magister... // Locos Umbrae Regnans Scáthach... // In Manum Meum Dedo Iaculum Daemonium Cum Spinis Triginta...

7
Negi: (I can beat him! // If I can take him out... // ...right here... // ...right now...!!) // Dextra Emittam!

8
Negi: ?!
Fate: I see... so this is the result of your training. // Since I have never needed training myself, naturally I would not be aware... // ...and yet it interests me just what could have improved your abilities to this extent.

9
Fate: I'll grant you this. // You are an opponent worth fighting.
Negi: (It's not working...!! // Did he completely block my attacks with a barrier?!) // !!
Koyomi: Heh... / Heheheheh...

10
Koyomi: The Artifact, "Mugen Houyou".
[TN: "Infinite Embrace"]
Koyomi: There is no way out of this infinitely vast sealed-off barrier dimension. All theoretical methods of escape are useless. // For one such as yourself, practically unbeatable in all forms of combat, against individuals, magical beasts, armies, warships, even fortresses... this must be your worst nightmare. / Do you not agree, Rakan-dono?
Rakan: You have a point... // When I'm up against illusions, I can't even take pleasure in flippin' the skirts of the cuties in front of me.
Koyomi: Hoho... Yes, that's right, you just keep messing about for as long as you like. // We'll be back later to witness the great warrior starving slowly to death. You can cry and beg for forgiveness all you want then, but it will be too late. // Until then...
Chamo: Hey! Wait right there!!

11
Chamo: Dammit! What now?!
Konoka: I'm worried about Negi-kun... / We've gotta get out of here somehow! // Rakan-han...!
Rakan: Hmmm... We've got ourselves in a right little spot of trouble here. // I've always hated enemies who won't come out and let you fight 'em properly... / [aside]There was Al, twenty years ago, an' all...[/aside] // Generally I figure out how to get out of traps after I spring 'em...
Others: Whaaaaaaa~~?!
Chamo: Strategy's an important part of fighting, ain't it?! If you just fall for traps, you end up losing...!
Rakan: [aside]hahahahah![/aside] // I know, right? I couldn't even spot when it was they caught us in this barrier... / [aside]they sure got us good![/aside]
Konoka: Aaahhh, Rakan-han, you're no use at all~! / [aside]even though you were so confident and powerful until now~![/aside]
Chamo: And we can't just sit around here doing nothing forever... // HEY, GIRLIES~! / YOU LISTENING~?! // WE'VE LOST, OKAY?! WE SURRENDER~! / SO LET'S CUT A DEAL, OKAY~?! // CAN WE TALK THIS OVER~~~~?! // [aside]*pant*~~~~~~~~ *pant*~~~~~~~ *pant*~~~~~ *pant*~~~[/aside] // No good, huh...
Konoka: Chamo-kun, we can't just surrender to them!
Chamo: Well, y'know... I just figured the only option left is to talk our way out of this somehow...
Konoka: Aahhhh... // [aside]what now...? what now...?[/aside] // Hmmmm~~~
Rakan: Huh... // Nothin' for it... I guess I'll just have to use that... // [aside]I would've liked to avoid using it if possible...[/aside]
Chamo: Wha...?
Konoka: [aside]huh?[/aside]

12
[bubbleSFX: sni~~~~~ff]
Koyomi: WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING~~~~?!!!
Konoka: Rakan-ha~~~n...!
Chamo: Ossan! / [aside]give me a sniff~![/aside]
Rakan: Hmmm? You showed your face pretty quick.
Koyomi: give them back, give them back, give them ba~~~~~~~~ck!! My - my - my - my panties~~~~~~!!
Rakan: Now, how do they taste...?
Koyomi: AAAAAAGHHHHHHH~~!!
Chamo: Taste~~?!
Konoka: Rakan-han, you can't go any further than that~~~~~! / [aside]there are children reading this~![/aside]
[sign: Programming will resume shortly. // -Kodansha]
Rakan: Calm down, Jou-chan... this is our only way out of here.
Koyomi: [aside]stop looking so serious~![/aside]
Rakan: Lessee, I could do with a second opinion... here, you try it.
Chamo: Ooh, thanks!
Konoka: [aside]they're perverts-in-arms...[/aside]
Chamo: Ahh...!

13
Chamo: Yes... let's see... Hm. // That'd be west-south-west... 37.35 kilometres.
Konoka: Huh?
Rakan: Damn, that's more precise than me. You sure?
Koyomi: Wha...?
Chamo: Sure I'm sure! When it comes to panties, there's nobody in this world or the real world I can't beat! I'm a Panty God!
Rakan: Right, then... let's go, Jou-chan!
Konoka: ?
Chamo: So, uh, what now...?
Konoka: Ahh - !
Rakan: You just hold on tight now.
Koyomi: Wh - What are you...?!
Rakan: Should take about... thirty seconds.
Konoka: Huh?!

14
Rakan: Hiken... // ...Naminori Rakan!!! (just named)
[TN: "Hidden Blade: Surfing Rakan"]
Chamo: This shouldn't be physically possible!
Rakan: Just takes a little spirit!
Konoka: Aaaahhhh~!
Tamaki: ...They're coming.
Koyomi: C - Coming?! What - but - how?
Tamaki: Like you saw. / [aside]Mach 3.2...[/aside]
Koyomi: [aside]Aaaaaaaghh~~~~~?![/asde]

15
Rakan: Well, you two sure seem to be havin' a fine time.
Chamo: (This guy really ain't normal...)
Rakan: Heheh... Y'know, ladies, if you've got an infinite space to hide in, you should probably do your spying from about ten thousand kilometres away, not just thirty. // You set up a huge barrier dimension like this... It's no illusion, and there are no exits. Simple magical theory would dictate... // (1) The magic-user who created it must be somewhere within the barrier. And (2) If that user is defeated, we can escape. / And once I'd figured that much out, the only problem was finding where you were hiding.
Koyomi: But how could you possibly do that?!! We were thirty kilometres away from -
Rakan: How d'you think? Obviously, we followed your scent -
Koyomi: AAAAAGHHHHHHHHHH~~~~~~~~~~! // (This is just ridiculous...!) // Why, you...!

16
Koyomi: Artifact: // "Hora -
[TN: The kanji for the incomplete Artifact name reads "Time..." Presumably the "Hora" is the Latin (or indeed Greek) meaning "hour/time".]
Rakan: Higi: Muon Mekuri-Jutsu!!!
[TN: "Secret Technique: Silent Flipping". ...And I note this one isn't "just named" ~_~]
Koyomi: Aaaaaaaaghhhh~~~~~~~~~~?!
Tamaki: ?!
Rakan: As I thought... your Artifact deals with time manipulation. // So you've got a time/space combination going on. That's the kinda trick that can catch even a guy like me. / But once I know what you're doing...
Koyomi: Nghhh... // Artifact: Hora -

17
Koyomi: Aaaahhhhhhhhh~~~~~~~?!
Tamaki: ...! // We should retreat a few hundred kilometres for the moment ant - // Ahh!
Rakan: Ooh, nice.
Koyomi: Aaaaahhh~~~!
Tamaki: Ah - !
Koyomi: Noooooo~~~!
Tamaki: Ahh!
Koyomi: Waaaaahhh~~~~!
Konoka: [aside]Secchan... these guys are real perverts... Are we even allowed to show this...?[/aside]
Koyomi: We... We stand defeated.
Tamaki: [aside]*pant* *pant*[/aside]
Koyomi: [aside]*pant* *pant*[/aside] // Just... forgive us, please... / [aside]no more flipping...![/aside]
Rakan: Hm.
Konoka: So in the end we won without even having to fight...! / I'm glad at least nobody got hurt... // [aside]although someone looks kind of dead...[/aside]
Tamaki: However... you still cannot escape this place. No matter what you do to us, we will not undo this barrier. // [aside]even knocking us out won't work...[/aside] // If you want to escape, you will have to kill me first! // [aside]*pant* *pant*[/aside]
Rakan: Hmmmm... I don't really wanna go killin' a cutie like you just to get out of a little situation like this. // I guess I'll just have to bust outta here myself.
Koyomi: Huh?
Rakan: Let's give it a go, then...

18
Rakan: Nnhh... // Nnnnghhhhh.... // ...nnghhhhhooohhhh....
Koyomi: ?!
Tamaki: Impossible... the dimension is cracking apart...!
Rakan: NNNNNNNGHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH...!! // DAI JIGEN YABURI!!! (just named)
[TN: "Super Dimension Breaker"]
Rakan: Whaddaya know... / I just kinda went for it... // ...and it actually worked!
[sFX: sta~~~~~~re]
Koyomi: [aside]he just ignores the laws of magic...[/aside]
[insert text: The ultimate pervy mercenary swordsman is finally going to meet up with Negi's party?!!]

I do have a quick question -- why is Jack's name being spelled "Racan?" Yes, that's the name on his pactio card, but then Konoka's name on her pactio card is "Conoca" and Nodoka's name is "Nodoca" so that can't be used. Further, Akamatsu-sensei spelled Jack's name in English as "Jack Rakan" in chapter 202. Wikipedia is even using this "Racan" spelling and it makes no sense to me.

It's the same about calling kamo "chamo". In the original is kamo but the right way is chamo, from chamomille. In the end, the translator chooses the way he likes the most and fits better.

Thanks for the translation, btw :)

...To be honest, I think Wikipedia is where I got the romanisation from in the first place. Hell, my own instinct would probably be to spell it with an "L"...

If Akamatsu's actually given a romanisation in canon, though, then maybe I should think about switching to that. Hm. I mean, author romanisations aren't always completely reliable, but still... Akamatsu at least has a fair amount of consistency with these things.

Yeah, I think I will switch.

The difference here is that Chamo hasn't had his name spelled out with English letters in the manga (at least not that I'm aware of). In chapter 202, "Jack Rakan" is written in English on the blackboard, meaning that this is Akamatsu-sensei's way of spelling the name. "Racan" shows up in the pactio card, but as I've said, the letter "K" is replaced with the letter "C" in pactio cards so that doesn't count. :p

Regardless, I was merely curious and Carlos explained it (just another reason for me to hate Wikipedia I guess ;) ).
