I also think the leg fracture is overrated. Sanji broke ribs in his first fight against Gin (mostly from taking shots from that giant guy with the armor). He broke his back protecting Luffy and Nami from the avalanche on Drum Island, and he broke bones fighting Bon Clay on Alabasta.

And remember, not only did he save the crew from Big Mom's shit after Dressrosa, he attacked the ship head on. That ain't a weak man there!
Broken Bones been pointless since even Usopp himself got hit by 4 ton bat to his skull which logically should kill someone, but he still kept fighting and won with Chopper. Oda did it again with Harjudan vs Machivse and look who won? Giant who broken more bones in his body, but still best him.

Those who using 'bones' as a way to say a character will lose proves they are no OP fans or forgetton what series this is. If it didn't affect those characters as they fight, Sanji won't be affected either which he proves during hilegight with Vergo and still matching him out if the SAME 'hurt' leg which I might add he ran fine with after the fight. A 'fractured' leg doesn't do that. So the excuse and reason is stupid and mostly from Zoro community who keep using it.

Yeah, it looks like injuries wouldn't keep Sanji down anyway.
Isnt that true for every Strawhat? :hmm Or basically, anyone who is required by the plot to do so?
Law for example, was shot full of holes, several times and looked dead, still came back into fight 2-3 times, "injuries couldn't keep him down"...

Both sides of this debate seem to be overly biased... 😁

I don't doubt that Vergo was superior to Sanji at that time, but right now I feel like Sanji wouldn't lose as he has shown that he's capable of fighting on par with dudes like Oven, Daifuku and PO.

Very true...and yet people continue to argue that it would have mattered in a long fight...

I said he can lose to him if he doesn't use his mind to figure things out. He isn't an 'smart' fighter which is shown he can't handle tricky opponents like Hawkins in the past. I am sorry, was Zoro switch out from Law's body? Was there comment that Zoro wasn't 100%? What was holding Zoro back? Don't say "He needed to protect Luffy and Tama" cause that is a stupid reason when Luffy is 100% healthy, nothing should hold him back and you have Haki. Are you saying Zoro isn't smart enough to realize on using it to block all the nails or even harden his own damn skin to prevent the damage on his body. I only listen to those with keen facts, not those who are ignoring it biasedly to ptu him down. Many have said their piece, not just me on Sanji's defense about the fight. The issue is you guys are not hearing us out for your own ideals which is mind-boggling how you don't want to admit on listening to the other side.
No. You literally said "Zoro LOST to Hawkins", countless times. And since the fight ended with both fighters still standing, just like Sanji vs Vergo, i'm wondering why you're saying Zoro lost when you're also saying Sanji didn't lose.
Nobody lost, in either fight.
Nah i don't care about people Zoro had to protect or whatever. He took these nails fair and square imo. I'm not giving Zoro excuses, in that fight Hawkins was able to damage Zoro, this is perfectly correct. However, and we debated that already, Zoro was also able to damage Hawkins through his dolls. He took several lives from Hawkins in mere seconds. These are facts, aren't they?

The issue is you guys are not hearing us out for your own ideals which is mind-boggling how you don't want to admit on listening to the other side.
Listen to me this time, really pay attention to what i'm saying. I'll quote you:

Those who using 'bones' as a way to say a character will lose proves they are no OP fans or forgetton what series this is.
Do you see the irony here? You're stating people are no true fans of One Piece because they dn't share your views on certain things. YOU ARE THE ONE disrespecting people's opinion. Not the other way around.
And don't say "we" or "us", i'm quoting you and you alone. People like thedude have been sharing your opinion from time to time regarding Sanji, but i'm not adressing this to him. I'm quoting you, there's no "us" here.

'Didn't damage him' yet we saw an panel of Vergo holding his cheek after Sanji kick him first hit and send him flying into a wall after and then Sanji once again send him flying into the wall in second major hit. Both left him bloody and damage. Of course he won't go down in one hit. What kind of fight is that, he would be a challenge, but that doesn't mean it nullify the hits from damage you take. If you want example of damage not being effective, Sanji vs Kuma is good one as Kuma reacted zero to it (Though Sanji was heavily tired from fighting around the island especially with Oars and Moria). Vergo was not the same when your carressing your face after getting hit to show visible pain you felt.
... Sanji himself stated that his kicks had no effect and compared Vergo to a mass of iron... You can't be delusional to such an extent.
Like, read the fight again dude. Everything is there. From the first two kicks leaving Vergo unfazed (because yes, he stood back up like nothing happened at all), from Vergo's face never showing any sign of pain compared to Sanji grimacing on Vergo's kick.

Again words doesn't mean much when Sanji still stood to stay and fight with him WITH THE SAME 'HURT' LEG (Emphasizing, not yelling) until Vergo left on his own. Did Sanji left? Did Sanji cry in pain after the fight is over? No he just walk away with 'the leg' you guys like to keep using as a 'clutch' despite bones mean nothing in OP at this point. We don't know how the fight would have gone as just because situation look advantage to the opponent, doesn't mean it go their favor as it's not the first time we seen this in the series. Idk why you guys are so oblivious to stuff like this.
Yes, Vergo left on his own. He had to deal with Law. Did Sanji let him go? Yes, he did. Don't make it seem like Vergo was supposed to put Sanji down or something, he didn't come for Sanji to begin with. Vergo came to beat up G5 marines, which he did; and he left to deal with Law. Sanji, as an ally of Law, should have tried to stop Vergo from interfeering no? I'm not saying i blame Sanji for it; but don't pretend that Vergo run from the fight whereas Sanji stayed, as if it meant anything at all.
Yes, Sanji said "UH" about his leg which was hurting him.
I agree with you, the fight could have been Sanji's win in the end, i never disputed that. Was it imply that Sanji would win though? No, it was imply he was inferior. That's the only thing im arguing about.
You're the one saying you want real facts from manga, cannonically. I'm telling you that Sanji himself stated he would have been in bad shape against Vergo if the fight had continued. You're disregarding it. Alright then.

Can you stop bringing broken bone back? We just countered you guys on this talk. It's not double standard, is someone who is 'ignoring the facts' and that is more on you than us. As for the Nami thing, while it's clear yes he wasn't 100% in the fight, but it didn't take away he still strong and gaining his flow back as he work into the fight. We didn't see him lacking things later after the fight as he got used to back with his body. It was heavily shown after Nami hit him, Usopp comment about his body acted 'out' of it, meaning he needs to get back to adjusting to working it through. In the fight, he was still adjusting himself in there, but I feel as he got used to fighting normally, it would turned in his favors in the end.
There's no "we". I'm quoting you and you alone about this.
Which fact did i ignore? You just admitted to ignoring Sanji's own words and thoughts about the fight and the potential outcome. I'm not the one ignoring stuff.
Yes, he's still strong despite the body swap, i agree. Though i'm wondering, why are you saying "he got better after the fight"? You're assuming he was weakened against Vergo but was alright afterwars. That's your asumption.

What you mean if Luffy was stronger their first fight? The whole fight was their first and Luffy overcome, but barely. Never was an 2nd encounter at somewhere else.
... Come on now.
Luffy was outclassed by Katakuri in every category, and had to flee from the fight with the help of Brulee. Then he came back to the fight and progressively got better.
So my question is: in the Katakuri vs Luffy fight, before Luffy's escape of the Mirror World thanks to Brulee, who had the upper hand in your eyes? Katakuri or Luffy? If you're saying Katakuri i agree with you. And the Sanji vs Vergo fight is the exact same situation. Yes, Luffy was eventually able to defeat Katakuri, but at first he appeared weaker, Katakuri was very clearly the superior fighter.

When did I said I know everything and others don't? When did I said I have no wrongs? When I said to everyone is no true fan? I never said that to everyone. Even if I did, it was to a certain few, but not they aren't true fans, but their arguments and logic on ignoring crucial points make me think they have read as deep on the situation like a true fan would. Your the one spouting the issue at me and thinking I am leading to that when I am not. You always do this as you always want to be right on your side and why you think the others can't agree with you. Learn to respect others opinions intstead of thinking they are 'crazy' cause they aren't your side. I thought you were more mannered than this, but you don't seem to have backing as I thought. I also like how one-sided you are one situation as I never seen you ever on against much on what detractors who go off the bar on their ends especially Zoro side when there are actually true points about him. Please if you dislike our opinion, that's fine, but don't be biased and call someone biased as it makes you look worse more on your end. Lets debate another time when your able to put that away please.
The irony... I never told anyone, ever, that they weren't true fans of the manga just because i was disagreeing with them.
There's no "our opinion", i'm talking about you and you alone. And yes indeed, you're incredibly biased. That's something a lot of people told you already, isn't that true? When will you realize it? You probably never will, which is why several members of the forum stated they wee giving up with you. I'm done as well, this isn't going anywhere. Your opinion of Sanji or Zoro or whatever else is acceptable, it's fine to disagree, this is a forum after all. But your attitude towards those who disagree with you is unbearable at times. Especially when you accuse them of ignoring factsand not respecting people's opinion, when that's precisely what you're being blamed for.

That was my last attempt at quoting or discussing things with you. I seriously think this is hopeless at this point.

Alright, back on tracks. I'll start another debate, more healthy hopefully.

Where would you guys place Sanji (with Raid Suit) in terms of power currently?
Like, give the name of a character you feel Sanji should be equal to right now.
XDrake? Jimbe? Cracker? Jack? ...
Jimbe by the way. Who do you guys think is stronger now, Jimbe or Sanji? Before Raid Suit i thought Jimbe was superior, now i just don't know. I feel like i downgrade Jimbe usually so i personally never really know where to place him.

Yes, if he doesn't think things through and fight like he usually do. Again, not a smart fighter type of guy so Hawkins could easily take him down if he not prepared himself on dealing with someone's powers like that. The reason I am seeing it like that is because Zoro has history on dealing with 'tricky' opponents especially DF is involve. It's not his first time, nor his last probably. Which is why can go into him losing UNLESS he figures how to countered and don't rush into 'brawn' first thinking it be that simple with Hawkins.

Sanji on the other hand is a 'smart' fighter and know how to get around opponents even tricky ones . Vergo fight he would most likely struggle, but don't think he lose as the fight drags on as he is getting back to using his body again and now it's confirmed more (Already been confirmed in the past, but guys like you want more 'visible' proof about it) he can harden his legs, the fight can go into his favor. Plus we can't forget what Rayleigh said the harder the fighter, the stronger your Haki grows so in a full on physical fight, Sanji could overcome him in the long-run.

You first as I am telling you to listen to me as well on my side too.

Yes, but did I said who I don't think who aren't true OP fans? I never pointed out or choose who aren't. Just that those who continue to use the 'bone' excuse are not true fans as they choose to ignore when bones were involved, but the odds still went to the good side winning the fight. The issue is that people want to force it as a way that someone will lose when we just had fights about it and it resulted the good side winning in their side than losing. That's the problem here, it's hard to count that as 'evidence' on determining who will win a fight. Your the one who taking it seriously when I never mention you or others on who are the ones like this. Heck I don't even know I have in mind when I said that, but I know trying to force it factual on fights doesn't work at all and ignoring outcomes like Usopp, Harjudan, etc. on their fights over the issue just to insert your points does make you biased and not much of a truer fan cause basically you want to be right all the way while ignoring crucial points is all.

That's like saying Coby can defeat Akainu due to him having Haki, but that is poor argument as it appilies Akainu can use Haki too just like him. You get what I mean? I want points that make sense and logic on why. Explain them, don't half-assed me some points while ignoring crucial on past moments in the series.

Yet Vergo is holding his cheek. What 'no effect' you need to hold your cheek if you weren't damage. Your ignoring the point there. Sanji can kick iron and steel before as it already been proven he is above that now since pre-timeskip after Enies Lobby Arc. You can't damage someone to bleeding from their face twice as well sending them flying twice and it said 'no effect' when it did effect him, just not enough to do solid damage to knock him out. Someone doesn't need to show same pain face as someone as everyone is different on reacting to pain. Yes Sanji took pain from him and visible, but same time Vergo took pain from him and visible the same. They can hurt each other on both sides, it wasn't one-sided and you didn't argument my Kuma vs Sanji as that is TRUE (Emphasizing), no damage, not Vergo way who can still get bleed and holding his cheek out of feeling a kick to the face.

Pretty sure Vergo was trying to down him since he did the same G5 and Tashigi early? What point in having Sanji active, but he downed the other guys. It means Sanji was tougher than he was for Vergo unable to down him. That logic doesn't make sense 'he didn't come for him' when Law was his main target of all. While he does have dealings with G5, he didn't truly have to interact with them especially with Tashigi. Which he didn't accomplish either thanks to Sanji there. Also really? You want him to chase him down while there is poison gas around the area as well he have to protect those who got attack as there could be more enemies around and abandon them? That doesn't make sense especially Sanji didn't know that deep of Vergo's relationship with Law that much.

So your saying if the fight continue, he would have win, but then your saying in your next sentence he could have lost in that moment? I am not following there as seems like you contradict yourself. Also I am not disregarding on what he said and doing, but it also same time he still stand up to Vergo and still damage him and hold him long enough until the gas came around. We all can't say 'Oh Sanji is 'weak'! He would have lost!' when same time, there physical actions of him still standing up to Vergo in the end and matching him leg to leg. After the damage hit to Sanji, he was putting more force in his attacks and Sanji even with the 'hurt' leg, kept using his legs to block each hit and try to hit him back harder too. Just saying if Oda truly wanted to enforce more he was no match, using what I mention of Vergo getting hurt from Sanji's kick and Sanji even Yes, was damage by Vergo, still kept fighting until it ended with Vergo choosing to leave and unable to down him. He did it with G5 and Taishigi, so could be same for Sanji too like situation when he faces Doflamingo, but it wasn't the same as Sanji was holding his own more with Vergo that time.

Many post above are talking about the bones before you posted. I am not the only one who disagree with it, so there is a 'us' on that subject. Not the only one on forum who defends Sanji from time to time. I am not ignoring the words, but you ignoring the physical showing of the fight more though. Well after the fight, Sanji never went for medical treatment on the leg from what I seen. It healed more on his own than asking Chopper to heal his leg. It been said by others on here, he ran with the 'hurt' leg despite we saw it get damage by Vergo. So it heavily implies he got better on his own after the fight.

That seem more like retreat and come back to fight tactic which he done before in a same fight just like with characters before like with Lucci, Cracker, and certain others. I count it within same fight than rematch since it was never over with no defeat. On who have the upper hand, Katakuri majorly, but again, doesn't really necessary mean as a rematch as just continuation as not like with how Luffy is defeated first and next time he fight for another round as this was more former than latter here.

I said to people out there, not you guys which your taking offensive mostly because you think I imply you guys aren't true fans from my wordings. If I wanted to call you guys out, I would mention names. My saying was for those out there who completely disregard everything and miss stuff for the sake for always want to be right on biased agenda. Your the only one acting biased here as I been giving more on my points, but your taking it either wrong way or choosing to not seeing it deeply. The only ones I remember saying that are those from Zoro side than general forum as I am still speaking to others and can debate with them just fine. So it's not several nor majority your now spouting out about. Again your misunderstanding where I am getting at and your attitude isn't understanding the situation and now acting out bit more personal than fairness atm. I don't disregard or ignore facts if they are the right facts, not biased ideology. Now your accusing me on what your explaining about and not trying to accept fault on your side as well.

Agree to Disgaree, my friend. Not helping your case in changing my mind and I can't to you too, so yeah lets end this here.

He going to face an YC later on as now it's more confirmed he defeated PO (Was already confirmed the moment he came back unscathed), YC is the only struggle I can see him taking and if so, it puts him high up there to many others. He was already a bit stronger than Jimbei prior, but now the distance is gaining wider around that more. Jimbei would obviously be apart of the YC Commanders of the Strawhats, but he won't be above Monster Trio or even apart of it, so Luffy, Sanji, and Zoro still above him even his addition.

Vergo left as he was tougher than he realized time take down.
???

No, he left because there was a more pressing matter to tackle, and he knew Sanji wouldn't go down quickly.

Because plot didnt require their fight to go till the end and Sanji himself commented on it and implied that it possibly wouldn't end well?

That too. I am saying combination of a lot of things, not just unable to try to down Sanji as the sole reason.

That no reason at all, stop using that argument. Sanji himself said that Vergo has "gone pale and vanished" after hearing that Law is in SAD room. It has nothing to do with Sanji.

Damn, i wrote a fricking wall & it got deleted.

The same thing is being repeated for the last 10pages. Criticism on Sanji is rooted in One place. WCI....The opposing side is vocal about not liking how he's handles or treated. & Fanboys jump down our throat and are basically telling us to accept mediocre content because its actually great....like wtf?! I don't get it. There's nothing harsh about the criticism its facts. Our perspective isnt skewed its obvious over zealous Sanji fans won't admit to any flaws or faults...like none of them.

Fishman Island ( Doesn't matter Opponenets to weak to show full improvements) overall Every Straw Hat got shine.

Punk Hazard ( Playing around in the NW, Zoro snaps Crew back to reality)

Sanji's true power is foreshadow here.( He does nothing fight worthy to show he is stronger than any atangonist of this arc)

Law 400M Warlord & Supernova, owns Smoker & Tishagi with his DF . Law handicap then has a mid diff fight against Vergo via DF win . Vergo before losing and injured mid diff Smoker.......Law>>Vergo>>Smoker>Sanji

Sanji's performance against Vergo convinces the audience that he is weaker. 2 diamble kicks & Vergo isnt badly damage as we see him take much more Damage later..& Sanji breaks a bone in the clash..showing he's weaker...Sanji is weaker than Vergo during that point in the story.

Dressrossa, Sanji obliterates fodder; Intercepts Doffy from a pretty good distance. Doffy lies(exaggerates) about his strength (He endures Red Hawk really easy) Doffy takes Sanji down via DF, Sanji bounces back up injured to continue assault to no prevail and is captured and saved from defeat. He then leads Thousand Sunny away from BM ship defending the ship.

I have no problem with everything thayt happened before WCI.

Start WCI arc...

1st Sanji was scared to fight off Capone or wasnt confident....Wow juss wow, why did he not resist and let himself get black mailed.

2nd we are in the time Skip, Sanji & his crew had helped many of their friends with personal problems. Some even super dangerous like Saving Robin. Why does he not even leave behind clues or any sort of details as to what he left to go face..it was very nice to think he could withdraw from Germa or BM so easily. Actually it was dumb especially the BM part.

3 The Biggest disappointment of them all. CRACKER tells Luffy some bull crap of how Sanji will treat him when they meet again..what does Sanji do, the man says the exact same thing. Then beats up Luffy who doesn't even fight back..Who also eats that shit, even after being so tired lmao..Sanji 43can't beat G2 luffy. Pre Katakuri fight.

4. Sanji submits to his blackmail, and is ready to live with Pudding. Only to be distraught finding out the wedding is a shame. Then he go finds luffy give an half assed apology of I wanna be saaved....His Apology from a friends sand point, I dont care about . It's the Captain perspective, that type of apology cannot fly, and his actions were worst than Usopp.

5. Sanji saves his family (simply freed them from being incapacitated) then bakes the cake that saves BM country and his crew that was about to die. This is not a feat. He had tons of help, and the cake didnt incapacitate BM. Sanji is supposed to be this super duper stellar cook, but Tha doesn't fell like what Oda really delivered, because he helped make a cake that took weeks to make...Not to mention, no further combat hype, because we know he can't beat Oven, we saw Oven tank all kinda attacks, Sanji isnt doing the trick.

It's not until Wano where Sanji dons a power up, because well, Sanji full power is practically shown against Luffy, his new moved during the Fishman Island arc & ranking placement is somewhere close to Smoker, Vergo's COA is better & he was hurt by his Fathers spear..His CoO is good not Luffy's level but he did Dodge Katakuri's sniping attempt, to the YC surprise.

Now he has a Raid Suit, & seemingly trashed P1. Landing 2 big hits, and returning in great health.

Sanji's role in SCI, was meh. Lack if balls, Treasonish, Mediocre.

Because plot didnt require their fight to go till the end and Sanji himself commented on it and implied that it possibly wouldn't end well?
And yet by that rule though, he would have won but not without taking significant damage.
That too. I am saying combination of a lot of things, not just unable to try to down Sanji as the sole reason.
but you're listing/talking about his inability to take down Sanji as the main reason when we don't even know how the fight would go.
There's nothing harsh about the criticism its facts.
Problem is, there seems to be no fact.

Didn't mean it like that, just that he is a proficent guy who usually get the job done, but couldn't knock down Sanji as he doesn't leave people alive or still moving. Not as the main reason, but one of them.

Sanji is really a specific topic and I think the criticism of his character and his feats will never end.
Sanji gets so much panel time and does absolutely nothing, seriously, tons of panels are wasted on Sanji's shenanigans.
I would rather have Chopper, Franky, Usopp, Brook, Jinbe and Zoro have half the panel time that Sanji has because I know they would actually do something useful with it. Even Nami and Robin who get crumbs of panel time make it worth it.
It's basically become annoying, especially having to deal with some ridiculous headcanon about anything involving Sanji and it even ruins those rare moments when Sanji actually looks good.

I respect your side on how you saw things before WCI, but truly so much ignorance in this single post and you wonder why many are not coming to your side if you come at it without discussing more crucial stuff. WCI been explained why things went they did especially a lot of moments. Check out on the Youtubers who dissect it and show it about them being Joy Boy, Mr. Morj, and Craftsdwarf. It's not that hard to understand WCI and it show Sanji's character a whole lot more than just fighting alone.

Not really, more your opinion than community. They are loving Sanji's situation and love the moment he is around. Also the criticisms are on all time low for a long time and more people are criticizing abut Zoro's performance from what I seen since many of his fanbase hype it as 'his arc' yet he isn't doing things everyone planned he would do. Right now Sanji is the most favorable around to see more especially with his RS compare to Zoro and others.

Yeah, yeah, sure. That's why Sanji is the most criticized character on every single platform. You can lie but facts disprove you every time. In every forum, his topics have the most traffic and the most critic and people question his power the most. Headcanon as usual.

More your claimed than majority. He hardly that at all especially popularity has been the same and growing more down the line. Also since when do you know every website is criticizing him only badly and have him as most topics about him? Now your the one with the 'headcannon' as there is no backing. I seen him getting topics as regular as main characters.

Actually, it's the majority. Majority of all OP fanbase criticizes Sanji the most, no other character is criticized that much. Fact.
I checked all major OP forums and Sanji is criticized the most on every single one. Just stating facts, unlike you.

Nah, not really. Your in your own world if you think Sanji is hated that much. I been hearing, but nothing on positivity and wanted to see him around more. What forums you check cause on Youtube, Reddit, Orojackson, Twitter, etc. are positive for Sanji. Your either checking small groups like ours or something as majority when it's not. Got get your facts right.
