Summary and Preview
Andou is a high schooler who possesses the ability to force others to vocalize his thoughts - an ability similar to ventriloquism. Inukai is young man shrouded in mystery who commands the vigilante group, Grass Hopper, which appeared in a city shaken by the downtown restoration program. This is a tale of courage, resolution… and confrontation; this is a depiction of the two boys’ encounter. "Even if it’s nonsense, if you believe in yourself and face things head on, the world will change." [From Aku Tenshi]

Any way, good manga. Permalink " "
What's really wonderful is that the characters are not just your typical shounen good-guy bad-guy with sweet powers and remarkable goals. Right off the bat, the characters have a lot of depth and individuality, while being extremely relatable and real.
let's be honest, when I was a little kid, there were times I thought I had super-powers. Like, there were moments when I thought to myself "I TOTALLY JUST SAW THE FUTURE" or "I DEFINITELY FLEW DOWN THOSE STAIRS WITH SUPERHUMAN SPEED!" or "I WAS DEFINITELY FLOATING JUST THEN! SERIOUSLY!" And of course, since I was a kid, it really seemed real, no REALLY. (and sometimes it still seems real >:] hehehe). This manga plays on this honest-to-goodness innocent misperception.. except.. "NO, REALLY, it's ESP... and I CAN CONTROL IT!" but... but... If you were to really say that to your friend, I don't care how good your friend is, that's just a weird and childish thing to say. There's no way, right?
And so you learn to keep this stuff to yourself. You know, past the age of, say, 11, pretending you have superpowers just isn't cool anymore. And if you're one of those kids who still tries, then obviously you're just one of the weirdos.
But I digress. That's just one example, gosh, I'm getting too excited I can't quite write properly >.>
but what about that guy, that really really cool guy that you looked up to, even now? Well, we're all mature here, suffice to say, we've grown up a little, and we know that nobody's perfect. not even that hero of yours, not even your mom and dad or your best friend. Not even the superheros of your favorite shows. But why doesn't everyone see that? You know, that GUY, he's really a BAD GUY... COME ON, WHY CAN'T YOU SEE THAT?! But you have to leave it be, because really, it's none of your business, and if you get involved you'll only cause more trouble for yourself and everyone else, right?
right?
well, sorry for this crappy review, I'm being way too colloquial. But I hope you start reading this series, it's really great. And maybe... maybe you can translate it for me too ;) Permalink " "
