Summary and Preview

The series is set in New York City, and the main character is a young girl named Tista. In the day, she is a shy, introvert, church-going student whose ambition in life is to become a teacher. At night, she assassinates criminals as her alter-ego, Sister Militia. A special feature of her eyes give her the ability to spot a target from miles away, be it moving or stationary. Once she's spotted her target, it's one-shot one-kill. Why is Tista killing for the church? What happened to her father? How did she get those eyes?

Review by Seraphis
It isn't easy to find words that would do this manga justice. While it starts of as a seemingly random action-manga with an a bit unfitting drawing style and weird pacing, it very soon and hard enters into the realm of drama. A gripping and tight Storyline, great characters and strong emotions and a perfectly fitting style of drawing for this kind of messed up (for lack of a better word) scenario.

While this manga will unlikely win awards for drawing skill (don't get me wrong: It isn't drawn badly, it's just the only thing I found was far away enough from perfect that it merrited special mention), everything else fits perfectly, from the girl Tista seeking her identity while not aware of that search herself or the a tad bit clumsy FBI-Profiler to the Artist Arty, chasing after a dream (and after Tista, oh well). Great Characters wrapped by a great Story, spiced thickly with emotions and with lots of great action as a dessert make for a yummy Manga-meal guaranteed to leave a grand impression on the reader.

Be prepared for a fair dose of tragedy, despair, hate, love and hope.

People who should read this: Thoughtful people looking for some deep emotional content. Dreamers who find it hard to work for their dreams. Authors and those who want to become authors.
People who shouldn't read this: Kids younger than 16. Anyone looking for some light entertainment. Those searching primarily for comedy. Permalink " "
