I think that Erza is overrated in many ways. Let me explain.
1). She took out a Spriggan, someone who should be stronger than a Wizard Saint. It's true that she got help from the Jupiter cannon, but the cannon didn't take Ajeel out. Erza did. Her Nakagami Armor may be strong, but it shouldn't be strong enough to defeat a Spriggan so easily.
2). She stopped unsealed Archenemy like it was nothing. Archenemy, the sword of Kagura, was strong enough to overpower a lot of strong mages while it was sealed. Kagura did even overpower Erza at the beginning of their battle. But then, she just blocked Archenemy while it was unsealed with her sword. I didn't really get that, Archenemy should be way stronger once it is unsealed.
3). She defeated Azuma in a territory where he should be undefeatable.
