Akumetsu

Your regular superhero story with an added twist. The story is structured really well, beginning with what seems like 'senseless terrorism' which its motives are later made apparent, adding depth to the story.

The art is unique, though not so 'different' that it'll irritate any readers who isn't used to it, like One Piece (I know plenty of people who won't give One Piece a go due to its art, which is a shame).

It's darker and more gritty than your usual Shounen mangas. And is truly an underrated manga. It's well worth a read. Permalink " "

Mangaka has taken a simple and old plot and develop an enjoyable and interesting story which is very well presented. Characters are quite natural and artwork is good

This manga is simply amazing, thats the the gist of it you can stop reading my review right there if you want. This manga has many elements an outlaw hero, the corrupt politics of a nation, and a gruesome justice against those very men who exploited their once great nation. "if i kill all the evil people will the world be peaceful" is the mantra followed by the men who seek out this justice...... "Akumetsu". Are they simply a terrorist group? OR Are they the heros japan needs in this desperate time.

AKumetsu is the story of Shou who seeks to protect his own view of justice as well as demolish those who hinder japans ability to rebuild.

The artwork is different but not necessarily new it has detail which correctly conveys the darkness japan has been plunged into by these senseless and corrupt politicians as well as the gruesome horror known as the wrath of akumetsu.

To tell the truth,the summary didn't got me hooked on at first...
To me it seemed like a typical superhero + identity guy...Then when he stated his reforms and wow...a new politic world,it really impressed me...
The artwork looked somewhat like A BIT(The businessman/politicians) like Kurosagi(Another Seinen about a swindler that is swindling from other swindlers but don't swindle normal peoples)...Can't say I'm a big fan of the style,but it's still really good...It might appear violent,but I swear the intrigue is really good xD!
