Hello everyone!! Welcome to the next great installment of Mangahelpers Featured Manga News Post. :) It's been a pretty hectic past couple of weeks - so we only have two series to feature this time. But don't worry, we'll forgo the standard two week interval and feature more next week. :3
Also, I would like to thank
Shinsatsu for once again making us a lovely banner[

Chii's Sweet Home (チーズスイートホーム)
By KONAMI Kanata & KANATAKOIDE KonamiThe adventures of Chii, a lost kitten taken in by a young couple with a toddler. While the family never intended to keep the kitten, Chii slowly claws herself a niche in their family: winning over everyone with her kitten idiocy and charm. [From DokiDoki]
My Thoughts:Chii's sweet home is one of the sweetest and most adorable series I have ever read. It follows the day to day life of an orphaned cat and the family that adopts him. Their interactions and the situations that follow are completely carefree and fun.
One of the more interesting things about the series that I enjoy is how Chii mirrors a small child - whether it be potty training or just how little kids tend to like playing with boxes more than the actual toys... it's pretty unique and playful.
All in all, if you are looking for a extremely cute series that will instantly put a smile on your face, this is it. :3

Kurogane no Linebarrel (鉄のラインバレル)
By SHIMIZU Eiichi & SHIMOGUCHI TomohiroFourteen-year-old Kouichi Hayase’s life has always been a mediocre one, if not dismal. However, those days of being bullied by classmates and escaping to a fantasy of being a hero are put to an end when a certain “accident” bestows on him a girl and a gigantic humanoid robot called “LINEBARREL”. The extraordinary power that Kouichi obtains puts him and everything around him on a sudden rollercoaster ride of battles, intrigues and friendship! During the course of his adventure, the boy starts to learn what life has to offer; he meets new friends, bids farewell to the old ones, but most of all he now has considerable responsibilities and is forced to confront the world around him.
My Thoughts:Outside of Gundam and Evangelion, I have never really given mecha stories a shot so I decided to check this one out. The art work, for me, is really the driving force behind me reading this. It is definitely well done and crisp... though it can get a bit confusing during the fight scenes. I guess, it would be akin to Bleach in the sense that sometimes, its just hard to follow what is going on - lots of giant explosions and chaos.
Being only three volumes into the series so far, the story itself, isn't anything unique or "cutting edge". But there is definitely a nice pace to it. It is fast moving and makes you want to read more - which is always a good thing. Definitely looking forward to reading more :3

I can't read such a manga without being bored.
I'm not to interesting about reading how characters use their humanoid robots to hurt each other when I can watch true action on some already made anime series.
I've read Chii's Sweet Home. And I gotta say, it isn't special. But it's ok.
I just don't like cats. Especially cute happy normal ones that don't turn human. Incredibly boring.
but the other series is again those boring battles type where every 2 page is filled with characters shocked and screaming loud .
