Edit: I also wish that instead of licensing part of a series, theyd do either all of them or none.
Please keep in mind, I am not a representative of OM, but I'm just speaking to prescident Tokyo Pop set on that site over the summer.
I don't really mind otherwise. authors should get paid for what they do and we love. I will buy all of it when I will be able to. until then, keep them scanlations up, thank you very much! :)
Oh nooo...
Also wasn't Tokyo Pop phasing out their import and shifting to Original material
But then again, their recent track record leaves me wondering if any of these will just be stuck in licensing limbo with no release for three years before they just disappear.... Nwargh. Double-edged swooord.
It is true that sometimes this mangas takes time to come out completely, that's sometimes out of the hands of the one that buys the liscense, they have to go out thru many legal works. So people show your support to the anime/manga industry.
And as a further argument to dislike TokyoPop is that they are so damn slow on translating the mangas. Instead of just shutting down all scanlators, they should PAY them for doing the job THEY AREN'T doing. In the end Scanlators > TokyoPop in both speed and looks.
I'm not going to pay TokyoPop a penny for the jobs they're not doing while they're shutting down the people willing to do it for free. In the end, the manga artist wouldn't get a penny for a translation that doesn't exist.
I'm very much for supporting the manga artists. But it goes against my principles to pay someone like TokyoPop for a poorly done job.
and i dont really like tokyopop stuff maybe because they dont have the slip cover like the original manga has.
