Summary and Preview

When Soah's impoverished, desperate village decides to sacrifice her to the Water God Habaek to end a long drought, they believe that drowning one beautiful girl will save their entire community and bring much-needed rain. Not only is Soah surprised to be rescued by the Water God-instead of killed-she never imagined she'd be a welcomed guest in Habaek's magical kingdom, where an exciting new life awaits her! Most surprising, however, is the Water God himself . . . and how very different he is from the monster Soah imagined. *Mi-Kyung Yun received the "Best New Artist" award in 2004 from the esteemed Dokja-manhwa-daesang organization.

Absolutely gorgeous. If you don't like the story (which i say is actually very amazing in itself...you will sort of get confused if you don't stay on track) then you will love the art. I say, the ROMANCE and progress between So Ah and Habaek is just delightful. Conflicts work and it this won't really annoy you at all. Good fantasy manhwa. Recommended! Permalink " "

Bride of the Water God is a very stunning and provocative tale between an average village girl and a charming god. The author has put great detail into the drawings and by doing so, has captured the emotions of the characters vividly. The romance is not your all too typical situation either and therefore it is easier to empathise with the interactions between the hero and heroine as they slowly become entranced by one another.

The only downside would be directed to the sentimental or emotional type; be warned! It'll pull at your heart strings :) Permalink " "
