However, Azusa is no longer the sweet little girl he remembers; now she has grown into an angry and sadistic, but sexy, young woman. It's clear there are some kind of sparks between them, but it's often difficult for Shinichi to determine whether she loves him or hates him! With all the other models who keep coming on to Shinichi, will he ever be able to figure out his relationship with Azusa?

As humans expand our territory to beyond Earth, we start encountering new boundaries of physical and psychological limitations. Asteroid Miners is a compilation of short stories that describe these limitations and how it may affect humans. It goes into detail how gravitational fields make traveling in space different from anything on Earth and how we need a new mindset towards ‘moving’ when humans are in space. The idea of distance is also covered where it describes how vacant the universe really is. Asteroid Miners also touches on human psychological behaviors in space. The stress it causes on humans to feel so alone and the repercussions to childhood when growing up entirely in space stations without any nature to relate to.

Humans are already moving towards space and as the last frontier of humans, it is still vastly uncharted and beyond our imagination. Asteroid Miners does a great job portraying humanity in space and the physics behind the adventure.

The story takes place in a city resembling Italy, known as Belmonte, with the technology levels resembling levels in the late 19th century. In this city there are human-sized mechanical dolls known as "Automata" who serve the people of the city.

The protagonist, Romeo, is a taxi driver who was originally involved in a organization known as the "Olma Rossa." He finds an automata in the shape of a young woman, who appears to have amnesia. He names her Anna, they start living together. However, sometime later, the Olma Rossa begin to catch up to Romeo, and an organization composed of automata also appears; thus, Romeo must fight to protect his current life.

When a person becomes overwhelmed by negative emotions, they will turn into a murderous demon! Luckily there are people, like the cute, gun-carrying, girl Tsukishima Miyu, whose job is to hunt down and kill these dangerous creatures.

One day, high school student Kagami Kenichi runs into one of these demons while taking a shortcut down a back alley. Kenichi is certain he's going to die, until Miyu comes and runs the creature off! Now Kenichi finds himself becoming entangled in this demonic situation, and after the next demon fight he witnesses, he's officially in too deep.

When things are desperate, Miyu makes a "contract" with Kenichi. This contract allows Miyu to use Kenichi's soul energy to create a massive weapon with which to defeat the demon. One unfortunate side effect is that if he ever strays too far from Miyu, he will die. Will Kenichi be strong enough to handle his violent new life with Miyu?

Debochi Amon (14) was always a passionate boy and had a tendency to literally steam up. Amon was living a normal life; going to school, hanging with friends and thinking about his crush on his classmate, Shinomoto Sako. One day, a third eye opens on his forehead after one of his usual “steaming” incidents and a talking owl creature who calls himself Goomin appears. Both characters are confused at the situation at hand and Goomin finally is able to explain the situation to Amon.

Amon now possesses Pyrokinesis and his power of his fire increases when his passion grows. His emotion of wanting to protect something, like his crush Shinomoto, triggers the transformation into a demonic figure and his flame is powered through greed. Now, Amon must learn to control and use his powers to protect the human world from Angels!

This weapon can reach a devastating power equivalent to several tons of TNT, provided she cries from the shame. Her embarrassment, typically brought on by some form of sexual situation, can win any fight!

As Tenkawa gets to know Maishima, both in school and during their alter egos' fights, he can't help himself wanting to protect the adorable, well-meaning, and mostly helpless heroine. Will he be able to stick to his role as the evil Phantom fighting this heroine of justice?

Usurai Sachiko is a shy and poor girl with glasses who has a really annoying problem. She has a guardian like creature called Nekosama that appears from inside her hair when she gets in trouble. Nekosama, who looks like a round fluffy cat, is actually a creature that lives in everyone’s hair and it said to influence one’s destiny. Usually they are microscopic but in Sachiko’s case, Nekosama grows to an enormous size and directly affects her life in hilarious ways. Because of this, Sachiko has had to transfer schools often and this time, she really wants to make it work. She meets Norio, a classmate and other quirky characters. She meets a girl with princess mentality and actually meets other people with the same problem as her; people that also has visible guardians. Sachiko to Nekosama is a pretty weirdly funny comedy with loads of crazy characters that really make the manga an interesting read.

These two live as the usual high schoolers, though the truth is, they are members of Hybrid, an organization whose duty is to hunt and punish the villains and criminal organizations who cant be judge by the usual law. The two fight with other Hybrid members and assassins, while trying to confront the plot of a criminal organization that endanger the lives of Japanese citizens. As the story reveals itself, the two are also have to face their dark pasts...

Of the ones I read, Subaru seemed to be the most well-written, with Gaku a close second (though I think you'd have to have an interest in mountains to really like it). Lots of dark shounens this week, and they pretty much just follow their respective formulaic plots, but Dead Soul Revolver was unexpectedly bloody. Also, Mighty Heart was somehow less annoyingly ecchi than I thought it would be, it actually had a pretty cute story.
Re:BIRTH－The Lunatic Taker piqued my interest which featured a girl with a young "brother" complex. The art was beautiful, the action was done well, and I can't wait to read the next chapter. Devil☆Clutch also looks pretty interesting. I head good things about Gaku so it'd be great if someone would pick this manga up~
